Abstract

Professional educators should be able to develop teaching materials to cope with the 2013 curriculum learning objectives in any given learning circumstances. Their preparedness to carry out the teaching-learning process could be assisted by applying teaching materials that are in line with the 2013 curriculum. This research aims to conduct a need analysis survey from various research stages and development stages to develop and validate the product and to determine what kind of teaching materials. The applied stages of a research and development study consist of (1) instructional process identification, (2) the analysis of the targeted learning outcomes, and (3) the analysis of the learners and their needs. The research location was in Public Senior High School 3 Prabumulih, Southern Sumatera Province. The subjects consisted of tenth graders with a population of 185 learners and 2 Indonesian language teachers. The numbers of the sample were 28 learners or 15% of the population. The first technique to collect the data was a questionnaire of the learners’ needs and the interview. Based on the findings and discussion, the recommended student worksheet by the researchers was an exposition-student worksheet with a scientific plus approach. With this student worksheet, the learners could train their skills and seek accurate information to be expressed in their exposition text. On the other hand, the teachers could also monitor and facilitate the learners to construct their knowledge about the text.

Abstract

The tendency of total institutions is marked through starting from the stages and processes of formation to the birth of the BP3K, which these stages and processes include Compertmentalization The problems that occur at the Citra Buana Indonesia College are the potential possessed by creative functional lecturers whose creativity is not channeled and the potential for creative structural lecturers whose creativity is not channeled into their jobs as structural in Higher EducationCitra Buana Indonesia Sukabumi, where they have the potential, namely the strength of values at the A4 level and are equally pro-active in addressing the situation of the Citra Buana Indonesia College which is considered to tend to be passive in responding to the development of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi and MBKM. The research method used is descriptive method. Is to explore and explore the problem to produce a holistic description of the problem. From the research results that they are termed the middle axis lecturer. then they are grouped at once combined into a container. A container that is in accordance with their characteristics and character is a manifestation with a tendency towards total institutions. the manifestation of the tendency of the total institution to be named BP3K, namely the Field of Curriculum Development and Supervision, Resocialization, Isolation, very binding rules, tight control, the role of centralized regulator / coach. BP3K activities in the form of studies and training as well as regeneration of member resources in the field of functional competencies in the realm of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. The total institutional element that contributes the most to the benefits and impacts of BP3K when compared to other elements is the element of isolation and the strength of the supervisor. the implication of the research results, that through BP3K is to make the Citra Buana Indonesia College as the organizer of basic character training for lecturers of universities in West Java and Banten, information and appreciation for two tutors from BP3K as tutorial implementersBasic Characteristics.bP3K is also used as an accreditation consultant as well as a training center for various achievements and expertise for the Citra Buana Indonesia College.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the pattern, to know the process and to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors for developing multicultural insights. This research used descriptive qualitative method through observation, interviews and documentation. The data validity test used triangulation, while data analysis technique used miles and Huberman interactive analysis, namely reduction, presentation and data verification or conclusion. The results of study showed that diverse cultures, multicultural insights can increase understanding of Indonesian multiculturalism, especially midwifery students. While the process of developing multicultural insights used formal and informal stages, as for the supporting and inhibiting factors of developing insight in midwifery students including the spirit of diversity is fundamental, interaction with students in class when taking ISBD courses is quite conducive to multicultural application, there is a balance between theories and practice and it has been integrated

Abstract

The low ability of high/vocational school mathematics teachers to develop HOTS assessments is a serious problem that must be immediately found a solution to be able to increase student competitiveness in the 21st century. This study aims to analyze the relationship between divergent thinking and the ability of teachers to develop HOTS assessments, the relationship between digital literacy and teachers' abilities to develop HOTS assessments, and the relationship between divergent thinking and digital literacy with teachers' abilities to develop HOTS assessments. This research is a quantitative non-causal survey method. The research design used a correlational regression model. The study population was high school/vocational high school mathematics teachers in Bali, NTB, and NTT. The sample selection used the cluster random sampling technique. Research data were collected using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression assisted by SPSS 23.0 for Windows. The results show a significant positive relationship between divergent thinking and the ability of teachers to develop HOTS assessments. There is a significant positive relationship between digital literacy and teachers' abilities to develop HOTS assessments. There is a significant positive relationship between divergent thinking and digital literacy and the teacher's ability to develop a HOTS assessment.

Abstract

In 2021, the National Examination (UN) will be replaced with Minimum Competency Assessment and Character Survey. This paper will present how HOTS-based literacy questions as a substitute for UN questions. The research involved seventh-grade teachers and students of SMP Negeri 1 Semende Darat Laut. The following results were obtained.  HOTS-based literacy questions contain items that measure higher-order thinking competencies. It is in line with educational goals to develop higher-order thinking skills and other competencies that are more relevant to the 21st Century. HOTS-based literacy reasoning questions in line with these procedures, and in line with the Program for International Student standards Assessment (PISA). This needs to be done considering the PISA score of students from Indonesia is always low. It was also explained from the same source that by getting students used to working on PISA type questions it would improve students' higher-order thinking skills.

Abstract

The aims of the research and development are to (1) produce an instrument for assessing responsibility attitudes of integrated thematic learning theme 4 sub-theme 1 5th learning for grade III elementary school. (2) measuring the level of validity and reliability of the instrument for assessing responsibility attitudes of integrated thematic learning theme 4 sub-theme 1 5th learning for grade III elementary school. The type of research is development research that refers to the Borg and Gall theory by applying the ADDIE development model. The population of this research is the third-grade students of the National Elementary School of Karanganyar 2 Karangrayung. The sample was determined using a random sampling technique with a sample of 23 students. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire instrument using a Likert scale. The results showed that the social attitude instrument of 30 (thirty) statement items obtained data; reliability of the instrument for assessing responsibility attitudes of integrated thematic learning theme 4 sub-theme 1 5th learning for grade III elementary school shows α = 0.758 then the instrument is categorized as very reliable; the validity level of the instrument shows the lowest rcount is 0.411, has a Pearson Correlation XTot value ≥ 0.3961 so that the instrument is categorized as valid and suitable for use.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a simulation model of multimedia products in Basic Electrical and Electronics subjects in SMK, to test the feasibility and effectiveness of multimedia with a simulation module developed for use in Basic Electrical and Electronics subjects. This study uses the Bergman & Moore development model. The feasibility test was obtained based on expert studies conducted by material experts as well as media and learning design experts. Expert review is used to see the feasibility of multimedia and improve multimedia. After the multimedia was improved, it was then tested on class X SMK students. Media and instructional design experts gave suggestions on the product to add material conclusions and the placement of learning objectives and multimedia could be used for learning after going through the revision process. Then the material expert on this multimedia stated that the material was adequate and could be used for learning. The results of the feasibility test show that the multimedia with the simulation model developed is in the very feasible category with an average value of 83.7%. The effectiveness test was carried out by giving pre-test and post-test to class X SMK students with analysis using the N-Gain formula. The results of the effectiveness test showed that the average score of students before using multimedia was 51.33 and after using multimedia was 78.67. Based on the N-gain value of 0.59 or in percent is 59% with a fairly effective category, learning using multimedia can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Module is one of the teaching materials that really helps students in learning process. Based on a case study that had been conducted, 73.3% of students are greatly helped by the use of learning modules. However, the modules used in schools are still lacking in emerging 21st-century’s skills, especially in critical and creative thinking skills. Thus, the researcher conducted this research to find out the effectiveness of using module as a teaching material to improve critical and creative thinking skills of high school students. The method used is quantitative research with normality and homogeneity prerequisite tests and the N-gain test to check the effectiveness of using module in Physic learning process. The data used is the students’ learning result. The researcher uses Shapiro-Wilk normality test which shows the significance value of pretest is 0.153 and posttest is 0.052. Based on the homogeneity test using Levene's Test, the significance is 0.615 and indicating homogeneous data. The average N-gain value for all aspects of critical thinking skills is 0.68, so the improvement is in moderate category. Meanwhile, the average N-gain value for all aspects of creative thinking skills is 0.47 and the betterment is also in moderate category. According to the results, it can be concluded that Physics Module with problem-based learning has been effectively used in Physics learning to improve critical and creative thinking skills of high school students in moderate category.

Abstract

The use of information technology in education is a real impact of the development of science and technology. The development of technology in the field of education has led to innovations in assessment systems such as web-based assessments. The use of web-based assessment to assess student character will bring up different student perceptions which can be influenced by gender differences. Therefore, this study was designed to find out how the comparison of students' perceptions of the application of web-based character assessment in science learning based on gender differences. This research is quantitative research with a survey approach which was conducted by filling out a student perception questionnaire containing 30 statements. The sample in this study was 120 students who were selected by purposive sampling. The data obtained will be analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics with hypothesis testing in the form of one-way Anova test to determine whether there is a comparison of student perceptions of the application of web-based character assessment in science learning based on gender differences. The results showed that male students' perceptions showed more positive results than female students' perceptions of the application of web-based character assessment in science learning.

Abstract

Current technological developments encourage the development of many electronic modules that affect the learning process. The problem of learning mathematics obtained lies in learning outcomes that are not optimal, one of the causes is the lack of learning resources used and limited study time. With the use of electronic modules, material can be presented in various ways, giving students the flexibility to study independently without being bound by time and place. So that it allows students to improve their learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of the electronic module on cognitive learning outcomes in the flat-sided wake-up material. The research approach used is quantitative. The type of research used is pre-Experimental. The design used in this research is One Group Pretest-Posttest. The research subjects were class VIII students, totalling 32 students with 14 males and 18 females. Methods of data collection by observation, interviews, and tests. The test instrument used was in the form of an objective test with a total of 10 items. The analysis of improving learning outcomes was analyzed using the N-Gain formula. N-Gain is used to calculate the increase in learning outcomes. Based on the N-gain analysis, student learning outcomes show a value of 0.61 or in percent is 61% with a fairly effective category. So learning by using the electronic mathematics module is quite effective in improving students' mathematics learning outcomes.
