Abstract

Technological innovation should be optimally applied to all subjects, without exception art and design education in SMK. The presence of technology and learning media there should also not only improve learning methods but also make people easier to get information. This research aims to create a technological innovation in the form of Video Tutorials for learning Drawing Patterns for vocational high school students. This research is a type of research and development (R&D) by adopting 7 steps from 10 steps proposed by Borg & Gall. The subjects involved in this research consisted of 2 media experts, 2 material experts, and 3 teachers. The data collection techniques were non-test, namely interviews, observations and questionnaires. The research instruments used were a list of questions, an observation sheet and a video media feasibility questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed by finding the average, then described in paragraph form to provide an overview of the field findings and media feasibility. The results showed that the average acquisition of media experts I, II, II respectively received the Good category. As for the results of the practitioner's assessment, the average score obtained by teachers I and II consecutively fell into the Good category. Thus, video tutorial media for learning to draw patterns is declared feasible to use as learning media. The research findings successfully show that video tutorials empower students to learn independently and improve their pattern making skills, as well as enable teachers to deliver visually appealing learning, thus encouraging better information absorption among students.

Abstract

As technological advances continue to develop, educators are challenged to create various forms of learning media. The presence of learning media in an educational process plays a vital role in increasing the effectiveness of communication and facilitating the delivery of knowledge by teachers to students, thus allowing teachers to be more creative and innovative in delivering content. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using Powtoon and PowerPoint as media tools by applying a contextual teaching approach to improve the learning outcomes of grade IX students. This study used a quantitative approach, with the research design being a post-test-only control group. The research subjects consisted of two classes, each composed of 27 students. Data collection methods used in this study include tests and questionnaires. The research instruments included a six-item test and a ten-question questionnaire. The experimental method involved applying Powtoon in one class and PowerPoint in the other, with both classes applying the contextual teaching approach. After the data was collected, it was analyzed using descriptive statistics and a t-test. The analysis that was conducted shows that there is a significant difference in learning outcomes between the two groups of students using PowToon and PowerPoint. Based on these results, PowerPoint and PowerPoint media are effective in student learning outcomes. The implication of this research is to design more effective learning strategies by utilizing appropriate learning media and to explore further the various aspects of using learning media.

Abstract

Technological developments are spreading to all sectors, including education. As educators, we are required to utilize technology in learning, Many students have difficulty understanding geometric material, which is often presented in a conventional and less interesting way. On the other hand, education in Indonesia also aims to shape students' character in accordance with Pancasila values, such as mutual cooperation, integrity and independence. However, approaches that integrate character education with subject teaching are still limited. This research aims to analyze a mathematics audible book based on Pancasila student profiles that is feasible and practical as a medium for introducing rectangular flat shapes for fourth grade elementary school students by utilizing technological developments. The research uses the ADDIE model. The test subjects were fourth grade elementary school students, involving 94 students and 3 teachers. Data collection techniques through interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis uses the Aiken'v index. The results of the research show that overall the use of a mathematics audible book is feasible and practical as a medium for introducing rectangular shapes for class IV elementary school. The implications of this research are This book is designed to introduce the quadrilateral concept in an interesting way and in line with the Pancasila student profile, which emphasizes values such as mutual cooperation, integrity and independence.

Abstract

The deterioration of primary school students' attitudes in the modern era is a significant concern, especially in the context of character education. This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of the decline in the value of attitude of elementary school students and identify the factors that contribute to the decrease in the value of attitude of students in one elementary school. This research used a qualitative case study approach, with the research subjects consisting of a grade V teacher and students who experienced an attitudinal slump. Data were collected through observation and structured interviews and then analyzed using the interactive cycle analysis method. The instruments used were observation and interview sheets. The results showed that some students experienced attitudinal deterioration marked by dishonest behavior, indiscipline, and physical and verbal bullying. It can be concluded that the role of schools and parents is crucial in overcoming the problem of students' attitudinal deterioration. Schools should integrate character education into the curriculum and implement Social-Emotional Learning programs to help students manage emotions and build empathy. The findings of this study emphasize that the role of schools is not only limited to academic education but also character education, which needs to be implemented through a curriculum that emphasizes moral values and social-emotional learning.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education is a top priority. However, the current problem is that many schools still need to pay more attention to the quality of education. Based on this, this research aims to analyze the influence of school supervisors in improving the quality of education through the school accreditation process. The approach applied in this research is qualitative, while the data collection technique used combines qualitative and quantitative. The subjects of this research were 40 people (20 teachers and 20 education service staff). The methods used to collect data are document study, observation, and interviews. The instrument used in data collection was a questionnaire sheet. Quantitative data analysis techniques are applied to analyze the quality of school supervisors' performance, including three stages: data condensation, data display, and (3) Conclusion/verification. Quantitative Data Processing is carried out by providing questionnaire instruments and the urgency of handling each variable. The results of this research conclude that there is a gap in the role of school supervisors. This indicates that the school supervisor needs to be more optimal in carrying out his role as a supervisor. To overcome the gap in the role of school supervisors there are several efforts to eliminate the gap that occurs between education staff and teachers regarding the role of school supervisors, including increasing supervision and coaching, strengthening effective communication and collaboration, providing adequate support, developing the skills of school supervisors, and conducting evaluations and continuous improvement.

Abstract

Bullying is a problem that often occurs in schools. Facts show that students who often carry out bullying come from less harmonious family backgrounds. This is urgent to research with the aim of analyzing the relationship between family conflict and the stages of bullying in male students in middle school. Quantitative research method. The subjects were students with a population of 450 people and only 76 students had bullying tendencies. These 76 students were selected as samples in this study. Data collection techniques using instruments. Question instrument to investigate the Bullying Behavior Stage. Family Conflict Violence Investigation is used to measure students' stages of family conflict. Measurement with a Likert scale of 1-5. Descriptive statistical analysis techniques and inference statistics (Pearson correlation test). The results and findings show that the level of bullying among male students tends to be at a low level (2.52). A significant relationship was found between family conflict and stages of bullying. It was found that the frequency of conflict was minimal for the type of sibling conflict within students at school and the most frequent conflict was between parents and students. The findings show that family conflict factors need to receive serious attention and be taken into account in designing intervention programs to prevent the bullying phenomenon from becoming more serious in schools.

Abstract

The low critical thinking ability is caused by the implementation of learning, which is still teacher-centered. This causes students to have a low level of understanding, making it challenging to work on evaluation questions. This research aims to measure the effectiveness of using the problem-based learning model assisted by Quizizz paper mode on students' critical thinking abilities. This type of research is quasi-experimental research. The population of this study was fourth-grade elementary school students. The research sample was selected using random sampling with 33 students. The data collection method is a test. The instrument used to collect data is test questions. The data analysis technique is inferential statistical analysis. The results of the research show that there are significant differences in critical thinking abilities in the learning outcomes between the control class and the experimental class. Student learning outcomes using the Problem-based learning model assisted by Quizzizz paper mode media are higher than those using the conventional learning model. It was concluded that the problem-based learning model assisted by Quizizz paper mode media could improve critical thinking. The research implies that applying the Problem-based learning model assisted by Quizzizz Paper mode effectively improves students' critical thinking abilities.
