Abstract

The low level of mastery of concepts by elementary school students in Indonesia, especially in science subjects, impacts students' low learning outcomes and enthusiasm for participating in teaching and learning activities. So to maximize the learning process, teachers must start utilizing the use of media. This study aims to see the effectiveness of the "BELIPARU" application media, which is oriented towards mastering the concept of fifth-grade students. This research belongs to the type of development research developed using the Borg and Gall model, with four research stages consisting of the idea gathering and reference stages, product manufacturing stage, media validation stage and material validation stage, product revision stage, and trial stage. The test subjects were conducted on 29 students in class V. This data collection method was carried out through observation, written test instruments in the form of pretest and post-test questions, and closed questionnaires for students. The data obtained in this study were then analyzed using descriptive-quantitative analysis techniques through the SPSS application, which were then thoroughly described using descriptions. The research analysis showed that the media expert test produced a percentage of 92.5% in the very good category. In comparison, the results of the material experts produced a percentage of 90.6% in the very good category, although there was a slight minor revision in the validator. Furthermore, the results of the pretest activity trials showed an average of 22.24, and the results of post-test activity testing showed an average of 64.31. Based on these results, Android-based applications are very suitable for students' learning process, especially in increasing mastery of concepts.

Abstract

Students’ motivation still needs to improve, causing students not to be enthusiastic about learning. This study aims to analyze the effect of learning motivation and academic procrastination on the results of learning mathematics for sixth-grade elementary school students. This type of research is correlational ex post facto research. The population of this study was all 106 students of class VI SD. The sample of this research was 86 students who were determined using a proportional random sampling technique. The data collection method used in this study uses the non-test method. Power collection methods using document recording, questionnaires, and tests. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression analysis techniques and multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The simple linear regression analysis results for testing hypotheses I and II showed a significant effect of learning motivation on the mathematics learning outcomes of class VI elementary school students with a contribution of 10.5%. Academic procrastination significantly affected mathematics learning outcomes of class VI elementary school students, contributing 53.0%. The multiple linear regression analysis results showed a significant influence on learning motivation and academic procrastination on the mathematics learning outcomes of sixth-grade elementary school students, with a contribution of 11.0%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that learning motivation and academic procrastination have a significant effect on the learning outcomes of students in grade VI SD.

Abstract

This study aims to expose detailed descriptions of the grammatical features of Indonesian English. Indonesian English refers to a newly recognised linguistic variety of English as proposed by Coleman (2017). The grammatical characteristics as the result of acquiring a new language lead to the presence of a new variety of Indonesian English. Applying descriptive qualitative research, the data were collected based on recordings of the speech of 24 college students on three different topics. Following the principle proposed by Cogo and Dewey (2012), this study reveals twelve grammatical features as the characteristics of Indonesian English. They are namely the over-generalisation and omission of the copula BE (i.e am, is, are), the use of Indonesian collocation and literal translation, subject–verb agreement, the omission of the plural marker 's', assigning different lexical meanings, inappropriate prepositions, the omission of possessive markers, the omission and addition of articles, the application of verb tenses, the use of Indonesian acronyms and abbreviations, the incorrect construction of passive forms, and the use of Indonesian lexical items. It is shown that one of the main factors in the emergence of this new English variant is the contact of the multiple languages used by the speakers.

Abstract

There are lots of songs, but they lack elements of patriotism and education. This deficiency makes the nation's structure fragile. Therefore, awareness and rethinking are needed to map and explain this to the public so that a sense of patriotism grows. This study aims to analyze and internalize the value mechanism of the Indonesia Raya song on the formation of the attitudes and character of Islamic boarding school students. This qualitative research uses the case study method at the leading pesantren. Data was collected through document studies and interviews. The data analysis technique uses descriptive qualitative analysis. This research has found that the internalization of patriotic values in the Indonesia Raya song can shape the attitudes and character of Islamic boarding school students. The internalization model of patriotism involves gradually educating song lyrics, understanding through assignments, and singing songs together. Educators and parents need to choose a national anthem that is appropriate for children's age and interests, understand the lyrics' meaning in depth, and make it a habit to sing the national anthem in their daily activities. Internalizing these values can produce young people who have a strong love for the motherland and care for the nation and state. Research on the internalization of patriotism and educational values through the national anthem has positive implications for education and the formation of national character.

Abstract

The achievements of the Sepak Takraw branch have yet to show the achievements as expected, and several factors cause the inconsistent achievements. The success of athletes in achieving achievements must be connected to the training programs carried out by athletes. This study aims to analyze how athletes respond to the implementation of training programs to improve the achievement of athletes in the Sepaktakraw sport. The method used in this study is mixed. The sampling technique is a purposive sampling technique. The population used in this study were all takraw athletes, totaling 11 male athletes and 10 female athletes. The data collection instrument in this study was a takraw response questionnaire that would be given to athletes. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive analysis of the response questionnaire data given to the respondents. The research results are male athlete response data with an average of 75.00. The response given is very high. Based on the results of interviews conducted with the coaches of takraw athletes, it is known that the training programs carried out by athletes are systematically designed and carried out repeatedly to increase the athlete's ability to achieve achievements.

Abstract

Students' creative thinking abilities are needed in higher education today, especially in biochemistry courses, by applying PBL learning. This research aimed to analyze the relationship between PBL learning and students' creative thinking abilities by applying PBL learning in biochemistry learning. The method used in this study is the mixed method using a sequential explanatory model. The sample used in this study was 52 students. The methods used in collecting data are questionnaires, interviews, and tests. The data collection instruments used in this study were essay sheets and questionnaires. Data analysis used for quantitative data is descriptive statistics and correlation tests. Qualitative data is analyzed using Miles & Huberman. The results of the research, namely from the data that has been obtained through correlation trials, show that there is a relationship between the two variables. In addition, from the interview results, the PBL learning model influences students' creative thinking skills. The data is reinforced by the results of interviews that students feel that their creative thinking skills increase with PBL learning. Abstract

Teaching skills are the main skills every teacher needs to produce a generation of quality teachers. But the fact is that the performance appraisal that has been going on so far has used manual performance appraisal with a rubric. It raises a problem, namely, the evaluation becomes complicated and inefficient. The research aims to develop student performance applications in deaf student learning by conducting a needs analysis of current student skills and the material and content needed. The research design used a quantitative descriptive survey method of 120 Special Education study program students. The survey contains subject-related questions, which were distributed to 120 students. The data analysis technique uses descriptive qualitative analysis. The results showed that the level of students' skills in the teaching practice of deaf students was in the sufficient category, namely 99 respondents (82.5%). Data from material analysis showed that 75 respondents (62.5%) strongly agreed, 31 respondents (25.8%) agreed, and 2 respondents (1.7%) disagreed. Data from the content analysis showed that 79 respondents (65.8%) strongly agreed, 24 respondents (20%) agreed, and 3 respondents (2.5%) disagreed. The development of performance applications is based on the results of a needs analysis based on digital technology to assess students' abilities in teaching deaf students.
