Abstract

The transition of education to an online environment due to the COVID-19 pandemic presents new challenges for teachers and students. On the other hand, there is only a little research on developing PCK related to character education. Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) technology solves today's online learning problems. This research aims to analyze Character Education TPACK skills for emergency distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is a mixed methods research with a quantitative approach and is supported qualitatively. The population and sample are 200 teachers. The data collection method uses a questionnaire. The research instrument was a questionnaire consisting of 33 statements and 5 open questions, which were distributed. Data were examined numerically and subjectively using component analysis and teacher explanatory descriptions. Data analysis techniques use quantitative statistics. The research results show that the mastery of TPACK Character Education in online classes uses different learning media and instructional platforms. This research implies that in the future, teachers can increase the use of teaching materials, media, methods and learning models for appropriate subjects and follow TPACK integrated with character education to create an active, fun and meaningful learning atmosphere.

Abstract

Pembelajaran tatap muka secara virtual menggunakan laptop/smartphone membuat peserta didik terus-menerus melihat pada layar laptop/smartphone yang dapat mengakibatkan mata mengalami kelelahan. Oleh karena itu diperlukan sebuat media alternatif yang dapat mengatasi hal ini. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran audio dengan memanfaatkan Podcast Spotify pada mata pelajaran otomatisasi tata kelola kepegawaian kelas XII OTKP. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian Research and Development (RnD) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, kuesioner, dan tes. Subjek yang terlibat dalam penelitian yaitu validator materi dan media, guru serta 40 siswa kelas XII OTKP SMK Labor Binaan FKIP UNRI Pekanbaru yang berada di kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif. Berdasarkan pengolahan data diperoleh hasil bahwa media pembelajaran audio dengan menggunakan Podcast Spotify memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah Podcast Spotify dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media pembelajaran audio dan berpengaruh meningkatkan hasil belajar disebabkan oleh adanya optimalisasi, motivasi, dan partisipasi aktif dari seluruh komponen pembelajarannya. Media ini juga memfasilitasi siswa untuk aktif mempelajari materi pelajaran baik di kelas ataupun di luar kelas. Hal ini akan menambah jenis media yang bisa dimanfaatkan dalam pembelajaran, merobah pola pembelajaran di sekolah yang selama ini lebih banyak satu arah menjadi banyak arah dengan menfasilitasi siswa untuk berinteraksi dengan sesamanya.

Abstract

Pengembangan media dilaksanakan karena kurangnya penggunaan sebuah media pembelajaran interaktif teknologi di dalam proses pembelajaran. Pengembangan yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah media pembelajaran yang interaktif dengan bantuan teknologi dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PPKn), khususnya untuk mahasiswa Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar yang berada di semester 4. Penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan metode pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Akan tetapi, dalam penelitian ini, peneliti hanya mencapai tahap pengembangan (Development) dikarenakan tujuan utamanya adalah menghasilkan sebuah media pembelajaran yang dinilai baik oleh validator ahli. Validitas media pembelajaran diukur menggunakan lembar penilaian dari para ahli. Teknik analisis menggunakan analisis kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produk ini telah divalidasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media, dengan skor mencapai 88,5%. Skor ini termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak, mengingat bahwa presentase hasil validasi berada dalam rentang 81-100%. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis teknologi ini dianggap valid dan sangat layak untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Implikasi penelitian ini yaitu penggunaan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis teknologi menjadi solusi yang efektif dalam mendukung pembelajaran mahasiswa.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir yang rendah dari siswa dalam menganalisa isu permasalahan serta kurangnya pemanfaatan media pembelajaran dalam proses pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah sehingga menyebabkan capaian pembelajaran kurang maksimal. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis penerapan media video dalam model pembelajaran PBL terhadap pemecahan masalah. Pre-experimental design dengan menggunakan pretest-posttest design merupakan pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Populasi dan sekaligus sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII yang berjumlah 30 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan observasi langsung, dokumentasi dan alat instrumen tes. Analisis data menggunakan SPSS 26 untuk menganalisis skor mean sebelum dan sesudah pengujian, hasil uji normalitas, homogenitas serta hasil uji T sampel tunggal. Hasil uji-T one sampel, penggunaan video pembelajaran dalam model pembelajaran berbasis masalah kelas pra eksperimen berdampak pada kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah. Nilai signifikansi yang kurang dari 0,05 menunjukkan penggunaan video berdampak pada kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah. Implikasi penelitian ini bahwa penggunaan media video dalam pendekatan pembelajaran PBL dapat membantu dalam pemecahan masalah.

Abstract

The Indonesian government is responsible for the education of children up to grade nine under the age of 18. The government organizes open junior high schools (SMPT) to educate children who cannot attend due to economic and geographical reasons. SMPT is implemented in disadvantaged areas through Islamic Boarding Schools (PonPes). The role and persistence of teachers at PonPes arehas yet to be discovered and appreciated as professional teachers. This research aims to analyze the role and persistence of Islamic boarding school teachers. This research is a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. This research aims to determine the role and persistence of teachers at PonPes. Teachers, school officials, school committees, tutors, parents and school principals were involved in this research. The subjects involved in this research as key informants were school principals. Purposive snowball sampling was used to select relevant informants and data sources. Source triangulation and method triangulation were used to validate the data. Data analysis refers to the interactive data analysis model from Milles and Huberman. The research results show that teachers have three roles: character builder, diversity teacher, and encourager of students. The persistence of IBS teachers can be seen from the teachers' efforts to understand the culture and demographic characteristics of students, which can manifest in the form of behaviour as coordinators, administrators and motivators. The research implications show that teachers serve parents and students who need school information.

Abstract

Chemical literacy is important for someone to have to understand scientific problems that occur in everyday life so that they can choose wise decisions in solving them. The objectives to be achieved in this study are to analyze the students' chemical literacy skills on acid-base material using a two-tier multiple-choice instrument SSI based. The research design used is a descriptive qualitative method. The sample in this study was taken or selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques are used by researchers in the form of tests and interviews. The steps taken to analyze the data are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that 1. The results of the students' chemical literacy test on acid-base material showed that as many as 15% of students were in the high category, 62% of the students were in the medium category, and 23% of the students were in a low category. 2. Students' chemical literacy was sufficient in the aspect of content (79%), context (70%), HOTS (69%), and attitudes (66%). The sub-indicator that students mastered the most in context indicators was analyzing the strategies and benefits of chemical applications. In the HOTS indicator, the students' most dominant skills are asking questions and seeking information on chemical issues. The attitude indicator shows the lowest achievement among other indicators due to the lack of student interest in issues related to chemistry.

Abstract

School-university partnerships and professional learning communities (PLCs) are important approaches to school reform that have the potential to improve teaching and learning and improve student outcomes. School-university partnerships are collaborative relationships between schools and universities that aim to improve teaching and learning outcomes by providing access to resources and expertise and by developing new curricula and instructional materials. This study analyzes the positive impact of partnerships and communities on teaching and learning outcomes but also acknowledges the challenges they face such as time constraints, funding, and cultural differences. The research method uses Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The data collection process is carried out by identifying and evaluating scientific articles that are relevant to the topic. A literature search was conducted through academic databases, such as PubMed, ERIC, and Google Scholar. The data found analyzed to identify patterns, trends, and consistencies in the findings. Drawing on existing literature and case studies of successful partnerships found that these collaborative models have the potential to significantly improve educational outcomes for students while providing meaningful professional development opportunities for teachers. Success factors include building relationships based on mutual respect and trust, ongoing communication and collaboration and structured professional development. It was concluded that implementing partnerships will create a culture for continuous improvement within the school community.

Abstract

Keterbatasan guru memanfaatkan media dalam pembelajaran, mengakibatkan siswa merasa jenuh dan kurang tertarik mengikuti pembelajaran. Sehingga membuat situasi kelas tidak kondusif dan akhirnya berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menciptakan media ular tangga berbasis budaya pada muatan pelajaran PPKn Kelas V SD. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development dengan menerapkan prosedur menurut Borg and Gall yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan penelitian. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu 40 siswa kelas V SD. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes, kuesioner, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil uji kelayakan pada ahli media dan ahli materi mendapatkan kategori sangat layak.  Hasil uji keefektifan pada guru dan siswa juga mendapatkan kategori sangat layak. Selain itu, uji keefektifan terbukti terjadi peningkatan rata-rata nilai siswa. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media ular tangga berbasis budaya terbukti sangat layak dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran PPKn kelas V SD khususnya pada materi keberagaman sosial budaya masyarakat. Implikasi penelitian ini yaitu penggunaan media pembelajaran dalam kegiatan pembelajaran lebih memudahkan siswa dalam memperoleh pemahaman dan memotivasi siswa untuk belajar sehingga mendapatkan hasil belajar yang baik.

Abstract

The lecture method, which focuses too much on theoretical knowledge, fails to provide opportunities for students to practice healthy living and safety skills, which should be the core of health education. This leads to the diversity of student learning achievements. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Collaborative Teamwork Learning-based physical education learning model assisted by learning videos on student learning achievement. The subjects involved in this study amounted to 40 students. This type of research is experimental research, with the research design used as a quasi-experiment called nonequivalent posttest-only control group design. The data collection methods used include observation, questionnaires, and tests, while the instrument used is a learning achievement test. After the data is collected, it is analyzed using the data analysis method used in this research including descriptive analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results showed that the physical education learning model based on Collaborative Teamwork Learning with the help of learning videos proved to influence learning achievement. Therefore, it can be concluded that this model can be one of the solutions in the physical education learning process. The development of this learning model is expected to positively contribute to improving student learning achievement, understanding, and leadership skills in physical education courses. The Collaborative Teamwork Learning-based physical education learning model with the help of learning videos is one alternative that can be used to increase the effectiveness of physical education learning.

Abstract

One of the prevalent issues faced by students in the IPAS subject is the utilization of monotonous media, resulting in lower learning outcomes. This research aims to develop and evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of SmartBox media assisted by audio for the IPAS subject, specifically focusing on the topic of animal life cycles. Employing the Borg and Gall method, this study falls under the category of research and development with the research sample consisting of 27 students. The data collection techniques encompassed observation, interviews, tests, questionnaires, and document analysis. The evaluation results from expert validators in both content and media fields revealed scores of 98% and 92%, respectively, indicating a highly suitable categorization. Moreover, the media garnered positive responses from both students and teachers. Additionally, the developed media demonstrated its effectiveness in enhancing learning outcomes, as evidenced by a t-test result with a Sig. value of 0.000, indicating a significant difference between pretest and post-test data. This finding is supported by an n-gain score of 0.44, classified as moderate, signifying an increase in the average results of pretest and post-test using the audio-assisted SmartBox learning media. In conclusion, the SmartBox learning media with audio assistance for the IPAS subject on animal life cycles is deemed highly appropriate, effective, and valid for implementation in the teaching process, as it effectively improves student learning outcomes.
