Abstract

The background of this research is based on phenomena in the field carried out by researchers at SMA N 10 Jambi City, there are several students who experience communication anxiety. Symptoms that can be seen directly are students who are nervous in their opinions, not confident, and embarrassed. The communication anxiety factor is because of the fear of being wrong and not confident, and the fear of being laughed at by other students. This research aims to find out how to apply group guidance services with assertive techniques to reduce students' communication anxiety. The theoretical benefit of this research is that it can be used to develop scientific literature, especially guidance and counseling, while practically it is divided into 3, namely for guidance and counseling teachers, students and researchers.This type of research is Service Action Research (PTL) in group guidance services with assertive techniques. This research was carried out in 3 cycles, where in one cycle there were 2 meetings and each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, evaluation and reflection. To see the process of each cycle, there are questionnaire sheets filled in by students and observation sheets filled out by collaborators. Based on the results obtained after the implementation of cycle I, meeting I, it was 79%, then cycle I, meeting II, 72%, in cycle II, meeting I, 61%, cycle II, meeting II, 59%, continued in cycle III, meeting I, 55%, in cycle III, meeting II reduced to 35%. There is a decrease in communication anxiety each cycle so that assertive techniques with group guidance services can reduce students' communication anxiety.

Abstract

The issue of discrimination, both racial and religious, in Indonesia remains prevalent despite various laws.. From various literature and data, it is illustrated that cases of discrimination in Indonesia are most often aimed at the people of Papua as well as students from Papua. This research will take a deeper look at the development of cases of racial and religious discrimination against students from Papua and offer a concept of multicultural and religious counseling on this issue. This research is a research with a qualitative approach to the type of library research (library research). The data sources in this study are books, documents, scientific articles, and previous research in national scientific journals. The internal data collection method used in this research is the documentation method with content analysis techniques. The results of this study show that Papuan students often receive various forms of discriminatory treatment from friends, the community, and even officials. They also felt various impacts, ranging from social, legal, political, and religious to psychological impacts. Counseling based on multi-cultures and religions with various services and approaches is a solution in efforts to prevent, reduce, and alleviate this problem.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the results of the role between achievement motivation and social anxiety on self confidence in athletes when competing in pasuruan regency. Confidence can lead to the belief that within a person has the ability. The research method uses correlational. Data collection used a questionnaire with a population of 200 athletes and 154 athletes used as respondents. Sampling was taken using accidental sampling cited by Sugiyono. The reliability test uses the Alpha Cronbach method with a standard > 0.6. The analysis technique uses multiple regression with the help of JASP 0.16. Research results: (1) the effect of athlete’s achievement motivation on self confidence gets a score of 11.4% positively and significantly (2) the effect of athlete’s social anxiety on self confidence gets a score of 17.5% positivelyand significantly (3) the effect of achievement motivation, social anxiety on self confidence gets a score of 37.5% positively and significantly.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between emotional development and boarding students' conduct and students who live with their parents. Students from UINSU MEDAN served as the study's subjects. The information was gathered using assessments of behavioral and emotional maturity. Data is examined in terms of product moment. The two variables have a rxy=-0.906 correlation coefficient with a p=0.000 (p0.01) value. This implies that there is a strong inverse relationship between emotional development and these actions. Aggressive conduct can decrease as emotional maturity increases, but it can also increase as emotional immaturity decreases. 82% of people are emotionally mature enough to behave aggressively.

Abstract

Kasus perundungan di Indonesia selalu meningkat tiap tahunnya. Perundungan merupakan masalah serius yang harus ditangani secara menyeluruh. Perundungan menimbulkan berbagai dampak yang bisa dirasakan oleh korban yang mengalami. Guru BK harus bisa membedakan antara peserta didik yang hanya bercanda dan yang benar-benar merundung peserta didik yang lain dkarenakan perundungan bisa saja tidak nampak secara langsung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan tujuan menyintesiskan temuan untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian dari hasil penelitian-penelitian yang ditemukan dan dikaji berupa artikel. Guru bimbingan dan konseling harus memiliki strategi dalam menangani perundungan yang terjadi di sekolah agar korban perundungan bisa segera ditangani dan kejadian perundungan tidak terjadi lagi di sekolah. Layanan yang bisa diberikan bisa berupa layanan kuratif untuk menangani korban perundungan dan layanan preventif untuk mencegah terjadinya perundungan di sekolah. Beberapa metode dinilai berhasil dalam menangani korban perundungan.

Abstract

Being addicted to online game is a kind detrimental behavior that could harm oneself. Such addiction is influenced by various factros, two of which are self esteem. This research aims to describe: (1) self esteem of the students of SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang, (2) students’ addiction to online games at SMA  Pertiwi 1 Padang, (4) the contribution of self esteem toward the students’ addiction to online games, (5) the contribution of self esteem toward the students’ addiction to online games, This research applied quantitative approach and correlational technique. The population of the research was all of students registered in the second semester of Academic Year 2016/2017. By using purposive sampling technique, 243 students were chosen as the samples. The instrument of the research were inventory Self esteem (CFSE-2), the scale of addiction online games (KGO), and the scale self control (SC) by of Likert model. The data obtained were analyzed by using simple and multiple regression technique. The results of the research reveal that,: (1) the students’ self esteem could be categorized as “midle”, (2) the students’ self control and addiction to online games could be classified as “adequate”, (3) the students’ self esteem gives significant contribution (11 %). The implication of the research findings could be regarded as an input for the Guidance and Counseling  teachers  in designing  guidance and counseling program for the the students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between democratic parenting and learning achievement of junior high school students in Gempol sub-district. This research method uses a correlational quantitative approach. The analysis technique used the spearman correlation test with the help of IBM SPSS 22. The sample used in this study was 346 students using random sampling technique. Data collection using questionnaires and student report cards. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive relationship between democratic parenting and student learning achievement. In addition, the R value is 0.028, so it can be concluded that parenting patterns have an influence of 28% on student learning achievement, while the remaining 72% is influenced by other variables that are not studied.

Abstract

Backgrounds: Mindfulness interventions with various methods are currently being widely researched and proven to be effective for increasing psychological well-being for elementary school students. Objectives: The purpose of this article is to systematically review some of the results from the recent study that intervenes in mindfulness techniques to increase psychological well-being in elementary school students. Methods: The studies were carried out in several electronic databases within the past 7 years which were published in English. Conclusion: The study results left 12 journals that met the criteria. Mindfulness intervention for students aged 7-12 years with psychological problems in elementary school students. Mindfulness techniques are effective for reducing emotional dysregulation, increasing social skills, increasing happiness, quality of awareness, increasing concentration, increasing selective attention, improving mental health, increasing self-efficacy. Mindfulness technique training programs can be recommended for implementation in elementary schools and integrated into school curriculum programs.

Abstract

Cheating behavior is an act that someone does to get maximum results by ignoring applicable rules and can have a lasting impact on the order of life and this behavior is one of the causes of a person's lack of confidence in the abilities they have. So this study aims to determine the relationship between self-confidence and students' cheating behavior at SMP X. This study uses a quantitative method with the subject of students of SMP X. In this study, a sample of 217 students of SMP X was used which was obtained from the saturated sample technique. Data collection techniques were carried out using a self-confidence scale and a cheating behavior scale with variable measurements using a Likert scale. Data were analyzed by testing the hypothesis using Pearson's Correlations with the help of Windows JASP 16.3. The results of the analysis obtained are r = 0.238 <0.05 and p = <0.001 so that the hypothesis is accepted and there is a significant relationship, meaning that there is a relationship between self-confidence and cheating behavior. This study also found a negative relationship and an adjusted R square value of 0.065 or 7%, which means that the effect of self-confidence and cheating behavior has a very low level of relationship.

Abstract

This study aims to make it easier for counseling teachers to describe a model of online counseling services. BK teachers are required to be able to provide good and best service through the guidance and counseling process. Developments in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) can be utilized in cyber counseling and handling various services, currently almost all students have cellphones which on average can be used to build systems by optimizing cyber counseling applications based on Android (whatsapp) to improve psychological well-being of elementary school students. The development of communication in the era of digital technology helps provide counseling services more broadly. In the digital era, counseling is not only in the form of face-to-face meetings, but it can be done using the internet network with several applications such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp and various other types of applications. This counseling model is also called cyber counseling. This research method is a descriptive method, which aims to obtain an overview of the object of research. Retrieval of data by giving questionnaires to students about student responses to the application of online counseling which consists of two choices (yes / no). To determine the results of student responses to the implementation of online counseling, statistical analysis using presentation techniques was used. The effectiveness of this counseling is measured from student responses which are proven that students feel comfortable, relieved, easy to use the application, helped to solve the problems they face, and Back motivated to continue to achieve goals. Therefore, the cyber counseling-chat application based on Android (whatsapp) to improve students' psychological well-being should be used as a model for counseling services for elementary school students in the digital era effectively.
