Abstract

The ability to design programs concerns the teacher's ability to formulate learning objectives, convey subject matter, choose and use learning methods, utilize and use media and learning resources, and carry out evaluations. Then the skill of communicating the program concerns the skills of the teacher in conveying learning material to students. This study aims 1) to find out how to improve the learning outcomes of Citizenship Education about the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia through the application of demonstration and question and answer methods to fifth grade students at SDN Ponjanan Timur 1, Batumarmar District, Pamekasan Regency. 2) To find out the results of learning Citizenship Education about the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia through the application of the demonstration method and question and answer in class V SDN Ponjanan Timur 1, Batumarmar District, Pamekasan Regency. The research used was PTK. The implementation of CAR refers to the CAR cycle model by Kemmis and Taggart which includes four stages, namely 1) planning, 2) implementing actions, 3) observing, and 4) reflecting. The results showed that: 1) The effectiveness of demonstration and question and answer methods can improve the ability to learn Citizenship Education about the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia in grade V students. 2) Students' understanding of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia increased in cycle II compared to cycle I. Improved results Student learning is caused by the teacher optimizing the application of demonstration and question and answer methods which are supported by the use of learning media in the form of pictures and group discussions in learning activities. 3) The application of demonstration and question and answer learning methods can increase motivation and develop independent initiatives and attitudes, and can deepen students' knowledge. Abstract

This research aims to investigate students’ errors in transforming active into passive sentences of simple past tense. This research is descriptive. The population of this research was the second-year students at Bung Hatta University English Department. A total sampling technique was applied in this research where there were 30 students involved in this study. The instrument for collecting the data was a writing test. To make the test reliable the researcher used the inter-rater technique. It was found that the reliability index of the test was 0.99 (very high correlation), which means that the test is reliable. The writing test is valid in terms of content because it covered all materials that students had learned. The result of this test showed that students make 1134.5 errors. It can be classified from the highest to the lowest errors: such as misformation (47.55%), misordering (26.80%), omission (23.45%), and addition (2.20%). This study recommends some future research to find out what the best solutions are to manage the best teaching practices to minimize the students’ errors in writing

Abstract

Media is a learning aid that is intentionally and planned to be prepared or provided by the teacher to present and/or explain lesson material, and is used by students to be directly involved with the learning that is being carried out. The process of teaching and learning is essentially a process of communication, namely the process of conveying subject matter in the form of facts, data, concepts, generalizations, theories or propositions that are carried out by educators to their students. The process of learning activities, especially in elementary school is the most important activity, because it has a big influence on improving students' cognitive, affective and psychomotor abilities. Class VI students should be able to answer questions related to the material for the Formulation of Pancasila as the Foundation of the State well, but the reality on the ground shows that after using teaching aids, most of the class VI students of UPTD SDN Sejati 6 Camplong Subdistrict cannot mention the formulation correctly and completely. Pancasila as the Foundation of the State. Of the 14 students, it turned out that only 7 students or about 43% achieved mastery learning, while the rest got scores below the average. Seeing the gap between expectations and reality in the field like that, the authors conducted classroom action research using visual aids in the hope of being able to improve student achievement. Media is a learning aid that is intentionally and planned to be prepared or provided by the teacher to present and/or explain lesson material, and is used by students to be directly involved with the learning that is being carried out. Equipment used in class can be used to do an assignment, a place to write lessons, make graphs, display pictures or tables, provide explanations, observe and study calculation results, investigate a pattern, and practice questions (Muhsetyo Gatot, 2007: 2.3) . Prior to the study of 16 students, only 7 students succeeded and 9 students failed, with an average score of 63.4. In the improvement of learning cycle 1 which succeeded 11 students who failed 4 students, with an average value of 72.3. Meanwhile, in the implementation of learning improvement cycle 2, 15 students succeeded and 1 failed, with an average value of 80.1. Thus it is proven that using visual aids can improve learning achievement in Civics subjects in class VI UPTD SDN Sejati 6 Camplong District, Sampang Regency

Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe (1) the effect of learning outcomes using Blended learning and non-Blended learning on grade 3 students, (2) the effect of student learning outcomes using the V-A-K learning style on grade 3 students, and (3) the effect of interaction between learning Blended learning and learning styles on student learning outcomes in grade 3 SDN 1 Tanjungkalang Kec. Ngronggot Kab. Nganjuk. This study used an experimental design with a population and research sample of 3rd grade students at SDN 1 Tanjungkalang Kec. Ngronggot Kab. Nganjuk. Data collection techniques through questionnaires and tests as well as data analysis techniques using two-way analysis of variance. The calculation results obtained FA value (learning) = 7.010 with a significance value smaller than α <0.05, namely 0.011, meaning that there are differences in grade 3 student learning outcomes between those taught using blended learning and non-blended learning; FB value (Learning style) = 12.926, has a significance less than α <0.05, namely 0.000, meaning Fcount > Ftable, meaning that there are differences in grade 3 student learning outcomes between students who have visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles; and FAB scores (factors A and B) obtained an Fcount of 3.250 with a significant level of 0.038, so that there is an effect of using blended learning and non-blended learning models on student learning outcomes in terms of different student learning styles at SDN 1 Tanjungkalang Kec. Ngronggot Kab. Nganjuk.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the inquiry learning model with flash card media on the competence of IPAS knowledge of grade IV. This type of research is a pseudo-experimental study with a nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study was 91 grade IV. Samples taken with purposive sampling technique. The collection of IPAS knowledge competency data was carried out using the test method in the form of an ordinary multiple-choice objective test of 30 questions. The data obtained were analyzed using t-test analysis. The results of the data analysis were obtained t count = 6.357 > ttable = 2.021 for significance 5% and dk = 46, so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. There is a significant difference in IPAS knowledge competence between students who are taught the flash card media-assisted inquiry learning model and students who are taught by conventional learning. The average score of the IPAS knowledge competency score in the group taught with the inquiry learning model assisted by media flash card was 85.04, while in the group taught with conventional learning was 72.39. It can be concluded that the inquiry learning model assisted by flash card media affects the competence of IPAS knowledge of grade IV.
