Abstract

Batu Batikam and Batu Bali which are conflict resolution or peace monuments in Minangkabau between Datuak Katamanggungan developing his Laras Koto Piliang with Datuak Parpatiah Nan Sabatang who trusts his Laras Bodi Caniago. Before peace is reached there is conflict or dispute caused by different perspectives in running the government. Koto Piliang with his aristocratic principles while Bodi Caniago wants consensus to emerge from under tasbasuik from the earth. Differences in perspectives turned into open conflict without violence due to the division of areas that were not in accordance with the initial agreement. So Batu Batikam and Batu Bali were stabbed with a dagger and a stick to show supernatural powers, release anger, and as a vow of peace and complement each other as brothers.

Abstract

English is the main language of international communication and world organizations. With the development of information and communication technology, the world has leveled itself so that association is no longer limited by national borders. The 2013 curriculum recognizes the important role of English there are four important aspects of the English language that we should always understand this includes listening, speaking, writing, and reading. Hearing is not the same as listening. But to hear in English is to hear. Songs can also have a positive emotional effect on listeners. Students often say the words of the song when they sing it. It makes students understand the content of the song subconsciouslyThe purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of English songs in improving listening skills in ninth-grade Sultan Agung Srati Junior High School (MTS) in the 2022/2023 school year. In this study, researchers used quantitative research on ninth-grade classes that were taken as population and sample. There were 43 students taken as samples. Based on the results, the use of songs as a medium in teaching listening to ninth-grade students serves to improve listening skills compared to conventional methods.

Abstract

This form of investigation employs a quantitative methodology. The method of gathering data takes the form of a survey. The participants in the study were educators, with a total of 20 teachers. The findings of the analysis indicated that the workplace culture has a noteworthy impact on teacher performance, accounting for 35.3%. Conversely, work experience was found to have no significant effect on teacher performance, contributing only 72%. It is important to note that to acquire good work experience, a teacher must possess the necessary skills and knowledge. The research also revealed that there is a significant correlation between work culture and work experience on teacher performance, contributing 35.8%. To enhance teacher performance, it is recommended that teachers cultivate a sense of enthusiasm and dedication when implementing the established school culture and acquire knowledge that aligns with their educational background

Abstract

This study aims to optimize the pedagogic competence of teachers in Class X.E MAN 2 Payakumbuh Even Semester 2022/2023 Academic Year in compiling teaching modules through continuous academic supervision. The research method is school action research. The subjects of this study were teachers in Class X.E MAN 2 Payakumbuh Even Semester 2022/2023 Academic Year, a total of 20 people, 15 general subject teachers and 5 Islamic Religious Education subjects. This research was conducted in two cycles and at the end of each cycle an analysis of the teachers’ ability to make teaching modules and their application in class was carried out. Data collection techniques in this study used observation sheets, documentation and field notes on teachers’ development. The method used in data analysis was a quantitative descriptive analysis method. The results showed that the optimization of the pedagogic competence of teachers in Class X.E MAN 2 Payakumbuh Even Semester 2022/2023 Academic Year in compiling teaching modules through continuous academic supervision has increased. Based on the results of the research and discussion it can be concluded that through the application of continuous academic supervision it can improve the ability of teachers to make teaching modules at MAN 2 Payakumbuh. This can be seen from the increase in their average ability from cycle I to cycle II. The average increase per indicator for the assessment of the making of teaching modules was an increasing from 73.00 quite satisfactory category (C) in cycle I to 88.75 satisfactory category (B+) with an increasing percentage of 21.58%. While the average teachers’ ability to make teaching modules is in the satisfactory category. From 73.54 quite satisfactory (C) in cycle I increased to 90.63 satisfactory category (B+) with an increase percentage of 23.24%. Thus it can be concluded that optimizing pedagogical competencies can improve the ability of teachers in Class X.E MAN 2 Payakumbuh Even Semester 2022/2023 Academic Year in compiling teaching modules through continuous academic supervision

Abstract

This study examines the utilization of animation as a technology-based learning media to enhance student motivation. In the midst of rapid advancements in information and communication technology, education requires innovative transformation in learning methods. Animation has been recognized as an effective tool to enrich student learning experiences through clear and interactive visual representations. The aim of this research is to analyze literature related to the utilization of animation as a learning media, explore its benefits and challenges, and convey the contribution of this study to the development of innovative learning practices. The method employed in this research is literature review, where data is obtained through analysis of theoretical sources and relevant studies. The results of the literature analysis indicate that animation holds great potential in enhancing student motivation, engagement, creativity, and personalized learning. However, it is crucial for educators and researchers to pay attention to good animation design and the role of educators in facilitating effective animation utilization. This research contributes to the development of innovative learning practices and enriches the understanding of the utilization of animation as an effective learning media in enhancing student motivation.

Abstract

In today's globalized world, the increasing need for English language ability has highlighted the necessity of good language acquisition and communication abilities. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a viable aid in the field of education, including language acquisition, as technology advances. This study does a literature review to investigate the function of AI in the development of communication skills in English language learners. The goal of this research is to look at the existing research and literature on the use of AI-based technologies in English language learning environments. The essay opens with an overview of artificial intelligence and its possible uses in education. It then looks into the various methods in which AI might help English language learners strengthen their communication skills, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The findings of this literature review suggest that AI has the potential to significantly enhance English language learners' communication skills by providing personalized and interactive learning experiences. However, further research is needed to explore the long-term effects and optimal integration of AI in language learning environments. In conclusion, this article highlights the transformative role of AI in English language education and its potential to address the diverse needs of language learners. By understanding the current state of research and exploring the opportunities and challenges presented by AI in language learning, educators and policymakers can make informed decisions to harness the benefits of AI technology and maximize its impact on developing effective communication skills among English language learners.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the traces of alumni activities, in the use of knowledge obtained from universities where they study. Tracer Study research to support the improvement of the quality of human resources that will be produced. However, the problem is how the competencies possessed by alumni of the S3 KPI Doctoral Program, Faculty of Da'wah and Communication, State Islamic University of North Sumatra Medan. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods, conducts data collection through interviews and dissemination of surveys through links on google dirve. informants in this study, adjusted to the needs of the required data data. The analysis is carried out continuously and continuously from the beginning until the research is complete. The results showed that alumni user satisfaction on graduate expertise based on their scientific fields, foreign language skills, The use of information technology, communication, cooperation, and self-development of alumni is very good.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' courage in expressing opinions and increasing students' understanding of class X MAN. Conducted at MAN 1 Bogor Regency. From September 2022 to February 2023.This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a field survey approach and in-depth interview techniques. The data is validated by source triangulation technique. The informers and informants in this study were teachers and students. Data analysis is done through data collection, present information and draw conclusions. The results of this study indicate a professional role competence of teachers who have questioning skills for success in classroom management instructional management such as questioning skills, understanding of material, learning media, interaction in class, self-confidence.

Abstract

Teacher participation in school administration is very important and a must. Such participation should be interpreted as opportunities for teachers and supervisors to provide examples of how democracy can be applied to solve various educational problems. The author formulates the problem as follows: 1) Can the quality of teacher competence improve performance in the learning process at UPTD SDN Lepelle 2 Robatal District, Sampang Regency. 2) Is the learning process successful if the quality of teacher competence and performance is good? This research includes four stages, namely 1) planning, 2) implementation of actions, 3) observation, and 4) reflection.Improving the quality of teacher competence is an alternative to improve the quality and professionalism of teachers and to create a comfortable and conducive learning atmosphere so that the goal of making this nation a great and dignified nation can be achieved.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of creative thinking skills of fifth grade UPT SPF SD Inpres Bontomanai students in science learning after using the Brainstorming method and the effect of using the Brainstorming method on creative thinking skills in science learning for fifth grade students UPT SPF SD Inpres Bontomanai. This study used the Quasi Experimental Design research method. The population in this study were all fifth grade students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Bontomanai. The sampling technique used is the total sampling technique or saturated samples with samples from the experimental class and the control class. The instrument used is a test instrument in the form of essay questions to measure students' creative thinking abilities with the Pretest - Posttest Control Group Design. Based on the results of the research, it was shown that the level of students' creative thinking ability in science in the experimental class, which after using the Brainstorming method, was 66.67% in the creative category, while in the control class, 57.12% was obtained in the very less creative category. Meanwhile, the effect of using the brainstorming method on creative thinking skills in science learning for fifth grade students of UPT SPF SD Inpres Bontomanai from the results of managing the hypothesis obtained Sig (2.Tailed) = 0.000 meaning that H0 is rejected because Sig (2.Tailed) < α or (0.000 < 0.05). H1 is accepted because Sig (Tailed) > α or (0.544 > 0.05) with the results of the T test analysis, Sig < ttable or (0.544 < 1.683). So the effect of using the Brainstorming method on the ability to think creatively in science learning for fifth grade students is influential at UPT SPF SD Inpres Bontomanai.
