Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of student achievement in education. student achievement in education is usually known after going through a test or a competition. One of the competitions that is always contested every year from the city/district level to the national level is the Madrasah Science Competition (KSM). KSM is a competition held within the Kementerian Agama for Tsanawiyah or Aliyah level students. Achievement in a competition can be influenced by several factors, one of which is achievement motivation. In addition, at this time the assumption that human intelligence is only based on the intellectual dimension is no longer valid. There is something called Emotional Intelligence or EQ (Emotional Quotient) and SQ (Spiritual Quotient). This research is a research with a quantitative approach, and the method used is survey method. The population in this study were all 55 students at the madrasah aliyah in Sungai Penuh who took part in KSM. The sample consisted of 38 people who were selected randomly or by simple random sampling technique. Hypothesis testing is done by simple regression analysis. Based on data analysis, it was found that: 1) There is an influence between achievement motivation on student KSM achievement in Sungai Penuh City by 27.3% 2) There is an influence of emotional quotient on student KSM achievement in Sungai Penuh City by 21.4% 3) There is an influence the spiritual quotient for KSM student achievement in Sungai Penuh City is 12.8%

Abstract

This research is motivated by conventional commercial bank financial ratios that are used to measure bank financial performance and profitability at conventional commercial banks themselves. This study uses a quantitative approach using panel data analysis which aims to determine the effect of Net Performing Loans (NPL) and Loan To Deposit Ratio (LDR) on Return On Assets (ROA). The data source used is secondary data. The data collection method is done by means of documentation and content analysis. The results of this study indicate that the Net Performing Loan (NPL) ratio has a negative effect on Return On Assets (ROA) at conventional commercial banks for the period 2017 Quarter I to 2021 Quarter IV, the Loan To Deposit Ratio (LDR) ratio has a positive effect on Return On Assets (ROA) ) in conventional commercial banks for the period 2017 Quarter I to 2021 Quarter IV.

Abstract

Listening is an important skill that should be mastered by the students in the classrooms since the skill involves a process of understanding spoken message. The syllabus of Junior High School expects the students to have a good ability to understand the meaning they listen from the monologue text but reality shows the reverse. The Eight Grade of SMP Negeri 5 Idanogawo are not able to fulfill the expectation in the syllabus. After finding out the problem, the researcher want to find the effect of Listen on the students’ ability in listening skill. This research will be conducted through a quasi-experimental design. The population of this study was class VIII students of SMP Negeri 5 Idanogawo for the 2022/2023 academic year, totaling 60 students of class VIII A- of SMP Negeri 5 idanogawo as the informant. the research chooses class VIII B - as the sample of the research because based on the information from the english teacher that the class was in middle score lowest. After validating the test, the researcher will give the pre-test to both classes to examine the normality of the data and homogeneity of the sample. Moreover, after giving treatment, the researcher administers the post test in both of the classes to get the result of the treatment and to examine the result of the normality of the data and homogeneity. Furthermore, the purpose of the research is to find whether there is a significant Effect of Listen and Do Activity on Students Listening Ability at the eight Grade of SMP Negeri 5 Idanogawo in 2022/2023.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to present a qualitative case study that investigates teacher agency in the context of implementing Flipped-Differentiated Learning (FDL) for English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners. The study included two participants who used the FDL approach, and their experiences were investigated to learn how their agency changed during the process. Prior to implementation, both teachers were concerned about implementing this novel approach. The findings of the study show that, despite early limits, teachers were able to acquire a sense of agency when they applied FDL in their EFL classrooms. Throughout the study, they demonstrated increasing confidence in their teaching judgments and involvement with students. This newfound agency allowed teachers to adjust their teaching approaches to better suit their students' different needs and learning styles, resulting in improved learning outcomes. However, the study also shows a gap in existing evidence about the relationship between teacher agency and FDL implementation. While the research gives useful insights into the transformative potential of FDL on teacher agency, more research is needed to establish a thorough grasp of this correlation. Future research should focus on filling this vacuum and delving deeper into the mechanisms through which FDL influences teacher agency, ultimately contributing to the refinement and optimization of flipped-differentiated learning practices in EFL contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of Hello English application to Improve Students’ Vocabulary Mastery at the seventh grade of UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli in 2022/2023. The researcher conducted by using Classroom Action Research. The population of the research was seventh grade of UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli that considered 288 students. The research took sample which consist of 32 students in class VII-B which was chosen and suggested by English teacher. The instrument of my research is observation, field notes, test, documentation. The research conducted in two cycles that consist of two meeting of each cycle. The result of the research in cycle I showed there were 15 students did not pass the MCC of 32 students and the average of students’ mark was 65,7. In the cycle II all the students passed the MCC with the average of students’ mark was 78,2. Based on the result of the research, the researcher concluded that the used of Hello English application improved students’ vocabulary and overcome the students’ problem in this research.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain the small group and individual learning processes in the Indonesian language topic for grade 3 students at SD Inpres Roong. The descriptive qualitative approach was employed in this investigation. The topic of the study was a third-grade Indonesian language instructor at SD Inpres Roong. Data collecting methods included observation, interviews, and documentation. An observation sheet was employed as the study instrument. The study's findings revealed that teachers used small group and individual teaching approaches effectively. Teachers' use of small group and individual abilities should be more innovative in their teaching and learning implementation. Individuals and should be accustomed to using small group and individual skills with the procedures or steps contained in small group skills, and individuals are of course important in explaining material in class so that students can understand clearly and easily understand because being a student who will later become a teacher must have problems explaining tasks and responsibilities, namely teaching, and thus students must face challenges that will be faced with teaching.

Abstract

This paper aims to explain the policy of the Islamic Boarding School Law as an affirmation of the importance of Islamic boarding schools as moderate educational institutions. Islamic boarding schools, in addition to Da'wah and Education Institutions, are a forum for community empowerment, through teaching various skills and empowering the people's economy, and many other aspects that are often worked on by Islamic boarding schools. This article explores the process of formulating the Islamic Boarding School Law, what are the basic things that emerge as policies from the Islamic Boarding School Law and how it impacts the sustainability of Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the strategies and methods applied by teachers and parents in improving the memorization of SDIT Al-Ihsan Koto Baru students. The method used is descriptive qualitative based on nine indicators of memorization of the Qur'an, namely the strategy of double repetition, not switching to the next verse, memorizing sequentially, using the type of mushof, understanding the meaning of verses, depositing memorization, prioritizing duration, repeating memorization at every prayer time, and faithful to memorization. The results showed that there is a 3T + 1M strategy (Talqin, Tafahhum, Tikrar, and Muraja'ah). Other results are supported by cooperation between teachers and parents in creating good memorization conditions. The driving factors are rote control, tool assistance, electronics. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factor is the indiscipline of parents' time in accompanying children's memorization at home.

Abstract

In every time memorizing the Qur'an, everyone has different difficulties whether it is from their children who cannot read the Qur'an or children who are able to read the Qur'an but are still stammering in reading it, therefore a method is needed that can facilitate students in memorizing the verses of the Qur'an. The method is a tool used to facilitate student memorization, one of which is the Talaqqi method, this method is very important in achieving success in memorizing the Qur'an. Because, the success and failure of a goal is determined by the method, which is an integral part of the learning system. One method that can improve the quality of memorization is the Talaqqi method, what is meant by the Talaqqi method is the meeting of teachers and students in a halaqah then students deposit or listen to the memorization that has just been memorized to the teacher or Ustadzah. The Talaqqi process is carried out to find out the results of a prospective Hafidz's memorization and get guidance as needed. The implementation of the Talaqqi method has an impact on the quality of student memorization in terms of the amount of memorization or in terms of reading. There are several ways that the ustadz or ustadzah can improve memorization of the Qur'an. Where the Talaqqi method has the characteristic of meeting directly with the ustadz or ustadzah in learning and memorizing. Meanwhile, the presence of an ustadz or ustadzah in memorizing the Qur'an plays an important role in bringing students to the correct memorization. Which in this study aims to determine the application of the Talaqqi method at SMPIT Mardhatillah Sukoharjo. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach, to obtain information from ustadz or ustadzah and from students using observation, interview and documentation methods.

Abstract

This qualitative study delves into student perceptions and experiences with Nearpod, a web-based educational platform, with a specific focus on understanding its impact on modern education. Thematic analysis of data collected from twenty students provides valuable insights into the platform's effectiveness. The findings reveal that Nearpod plays a crucial role in enhancing student engagement and attentiveness. The interactive nature of Nearpod, including features such as interactive presentations, quizzes, and real-time collaboration tools, significantly contributes to increased student participation. This thematic analysis underscores the platform's potential to create a more engaging and participatory learning environment.Additionally, the study highlights the positive impact of Nearpod's visual aids, simulations, and virtual reality components on student comprehension, making complex concepts more accessible. However, the research also identifies technical glitches and platform stability issues that need attention to ensure a seamless and uninterrupted learning experience.Furthermore, the thematic analysis suggests that greater customization options and a wider array of diverse interactive activities could cater to individual learning preferences, thereby further enhancing student engagement. Despite the study's limitations, such as a small sample size and a focus solely on student perspectives, the thematic analysis underscores Nearpod's potential as a valuable educational tool. It emphasizes the need for ongoing refinement to maximize its effectiveness in the ever-evolving educational landscape. In conclusion, this research highlights the significance of Nearpod in the digitized era of learning and its potential to transform modern education.
