Abstract

One of the basic needs of people i Indonesia is corn. Corn is one of the most important food crops after rice and wheat. Apart from being a human food ingredient (a sourdc of carohydrates), corn is also used as anumal feed and also as an industrial raw materil. The need for corn for animal feed continuesin to increase every yera. This is in line with the developmentof the livestoc industry, especially in the Lima Puluh Kota regency. Some factors that cause the potential for corn production are lessthan the maximum are the presenceof pests that result in decreased production and the influence of weather that can inhibit corn growth. Suboptimal maintenance in the cultivation process can also reduce corn production, so it needs good maintenance. There fore it is necessary to develop this cultivation of maize with the aim to determine the increase in crop production by applying the detasseling and fruit mole in the legowo row planting system and see the feasibilityof the corn cultivation business with detasseling technology and fruit moles in the legowo row planting system. This busiess with detasseling technology and fruit mole in the legowo row row planting system andseed the feasibility of the corn cultivation business with detasseling technology and fruit molei in the legowo rw planting system. This business devolopment is carried out in the payakumbuh state agricultural polytechnic experimental field in february to june with with a land area of 250 m2, which is 125 m2 with detasseling technology and 125 m2 without detasseling. Which is very real with respect to the number of rows/cob, number of seed/row, and weight of 100 seeds. Corn production obtained by detasseling treatment was 113 kg and without treatment was 95 kg.

Abstract

The gaff (macrobrachium rosenbergi DE man) is a type A highly cultivated freshwater shrimp that is kept in freshwater pools, lakes, and even in the ebb and flow of upstream and downstream. The stick shrimp has a larger size than other freshwater shrimps, which are relatively slow, so it takes a natural expert to increase growth and survive the natural food-fodder fodder worms that are used in Hong Kong worms and silk worms. The study is aimed at seeing how different types of feeding different types affect the growth and survival of the spear shrimps. This research was done in br. Abstract

Local nuts are an alternative source of vegetable protein that is cheap and affordable by the people of Indonesia. Peanuts whose potential has not been fully explored, including red beans, green beans, and cowpeas are types of beans that have the potential to be developed in various products of the food industry (Fachrudin, 2009). One type of legume that is very good for consumption is red beans. This study aims to determine the addition (CMC) and storage time at cold temperature to the characteristics of red bean milk. The research design used a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial pattern with two factors and two replications, namely factor I was the addition of CMC treatment consisting of 4 levels, namely: (0.04%), (0.06%), (0.08 %), (0.10%). Factor Il is the treatment of shelf life which consists of 4 levels, namely: 0 days, 3 days, 6 days, and 9 days. Observations were carried out objectively including: moisture content, ash content, fat content, protein content, carbohydrates, viscosity, pH and color. Meanwhile, subjective observations include: color, aroma, taste, texture and overall acceptance. The best research results were obtained in the treatment with the addition of 0.06% CMC and storage time on day 3, with the results of 91.82% moisture content, 0.64% ash content, 1.92% fat content, 3.09 protein content. %, carbohydrate content of 2.73%, viscosity 29.75%, pH level of 6.57%, and subjectively have the highest preference for panelists
