Abstract

The learning approach that provides experiences and abilities to support future life related to the Internet of Things (IoT) is one of the STEM approaches. This research aims to determine the effects of the STEM approach on the development of students' life skills in elementary school. The method used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design, and the sample was selected through purposive sampling. The instrument used for assessing life skills was the Life Skills Scale for Sport (LSSS) developed by Cronin Allen. The results of the analysis showed a significance level of 0.002 for life skills. It can be concluded that the STEM learning approach has an impact on the development of life skills in elementary school. This can be considered an alternative for Physical Education teachers in elementary schools to instil life skills from an early age and to foster the development and reinforcement of integration in applying knowledge into skills.

Abstract

Using the right training method can maximize an athlete's talents and achievements to peak performance, the training method used can optimize a skill. The aim of this research is to determine the comparison of the SSG and TGT training methods on handball playing skills. The method used in this research was an experiment. Sampling used a saturated sampling technique. The instrument in this research for Handball playing skills uses The Handball Tactical Performance Evaluation (HTPE). The results of the analysis of athletes belonging to the SSG and TGT groups experienced a more significant increase in playing handball with a sig value of 0.000, however those belonging to the SSG group did not have a significant effect on the Sig value. of 0.859 which is greater than α 0.05. However, the SSG group gave an increase, although not big. The use of SSG training can be examined further across age and gender ranges at a later date to maximize research results.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of incorporating life skills into a handball training program on positive youth development. The Quasi-Experimental Design was employed as the study approach. A questionnaire was used to collect data for this study. The purposive sampling technique was used in this research. The sample of this study involved 40 young men aged 15-20 years divided into two groups, namely the handball training with life skill integration group (20 people) and the handball training without life skill integration group (20 people). The results of this research showed the significance value 0.000 0.05. The findings of this study revealed that the life skill development of the handball training group that integrated life skills in the program (Group A) was higher than the life skill development of the handball training group that did not receive life skill integration in the program (Group B). The development of adolescent life skills can be utilized in their daily lives, so that they can use the skills to address their life needs and obstacles.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penggunaan lagu daerah dalam pembelajaran lokomotor terhadap literasi fisik siswa SDN 2 Cibogo. Penelitian ini memiliki latar belakang bahwa siswa masih kurang aktif dalam melakukan aktivitas fisik di sekolah maupun pada kehidupan sehari-hari. Hal tersebut di sebabkan karena siswa Sekolah Dasar banyak yang belum mengetahui makna seutuhnya mengenai literasi fisik. Maka dari itu dengan metode pembelajaran penggunaan lagu daerah dalam pembelajaran lokomotor menjadi upaya siswa Sekolah Dasar dapat mengenal dan mengetahui apa yang dimaksud dengan literasi fisik, selain itu dapat menambah wawasan dan melestarikan kebudayaan yang ada di Indonesia. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa Sekolah Dasar kelas III di SDN 2 Cibogo. Sampel penelitian melibatkan siswa yang berjumlah 32 dengan teknik purporsive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan CAPL-2 (Canadian As assessment of Physical Literacy). Hasil penelitian dari post-test pengetahuan, pemahaman, dan kompetensi fisik berada pada kategori unggul. Hasil dari uji paired sample test tes pengetahuan, pemahaman, dan kompetensi fisik menunjukan nilai signifikan 0,05 yang dapat disimpulkan bahwa ho ditolak dan ha diterima. Maka dari itu hasil hipotesis pada penelitian menunjukan terdapat pengaruh penggunaan lagu daerah dalam pembelajaran lokomotor terhadap literasi fisik siswa SDN 2 Cibogo.

Abstract

This study aims to improve motivation and locomotor learning outcomes by using audio-visual media as a learning medium. This study was motivated because in the learning process, especially in locomotor learning, teachers still use conventional methods, teachers are also still lacking in the use of media during learning and teachers still have difficulty in fostering motivation and improving locomotor learning outcomes in students. The use of audio-visual media is expected to help overcome problems in the learning process. The method used in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR), in this study two cycles were carried out, there were four meetings. This research was carried out through four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The participants used in this study were all students of class IC SDN Cisintok totaling 23 students, consisting of 12 female students and 11 male students. The sample used was the total sampling technique. The instruments used in this study were Questionnaires or questionnaires and Locomotor Tests. The results of this study indicate that student motivation has received an average of 91.60 which means there is an increase in motivation from the use of audio-visual media. With a percentage of 30% high and 70% very high. Likewise, the results of locomotor learning have increased by using audio-visual media and get an average of 85.78. With a percentage of 100% very good. So, it can be concluded that there is an increase in motivation and locomotor learning results by using audio-visual media.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah permainan soccer like games dapat meningkatkan level kebugaran jasmani dan hasil belajar siswa sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian eksperimen dengan design One Groups Pretest-Posttest Design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN 195 Isola, Kota Bandung dengan subjek penelitian melibatkan siswa laki-laki ekstrakurikuler futsal kelas V dan VI yang berjumlah 46 orang dan sampel sebanyak 20. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Purposive Sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu Tes Kebugaran Siswa Indonesia (TKSI) dan Games Performance Assement Instrument (GPAI). Analisis data menggunakan uji prasyarat yaitu uji normalitas shaporo-wilk, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis Paired Sample T-Test. Berdasarkan hasil uji deskriptif yang melibatkan 20 siswa, terlihat adanya peningkatan yang signifikan antara pre-test dan post-test pada kedua variabel yang diukur, yaitu TKSI dan GPAI. Pada pre-test TKSI dengan rata-rata sebanyak 17.50, dan ada peningkatan rata-rata pada post-test sebesar 20.40. Untuk GPAI, pre-test menunjukkan nilai rata-rata 10.30, dan pada post-test terjadi peningkatan nilai rata-rata sebesar 12.85. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa permainan soccer like games dapat meningkatkan level kebugaran jasmani dan hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini dikarenakan oleh kombinasi dari frekuensi latihan yang konsisten 3 kali dalam seminggu selama 12 pertemuan dan program yang relevan sesuai apa yang dibutuhkan oleh siswa.

Abstract

In the sports landscape, coaching is undeniably considered important. However, coaching has focused mainly on competition, evaluating success through winning or performance excellence. In the case of Philippine sport, coaching largely remains entrenched in traditional performance-focused methods, where the primary goal of coaches is to enhance competitive outcomes. To date, there has been no research conducted in the Philippines focusing on sports coaching and training program with 3Ps integration. With this, the study aims to explore Filipino coaches' understanding of 3Ps and its incorporation into their coaching practices and training programs. Using the exploratory-descriptive qualitative research, nine Filipino coaches who are as well physical education teachers at higher education institutions in Mindanao, Philippines, participated in several in-depth interviews.  The study revealed six essential themes capturing the insights of Filipino coaches about 3Ps: unfamiliarity of 3Ps concept in coaching and training, lack of coaching practice and training standard, need of intentional teaching of 3Ps through coaching and training, recommendation of 3Ps for coaching development, support from government for coaching education, and 3Ps compliments existing coaching initiatives.  As this research contributes critical insights into the knowledge of Filipino coaches about 3Ps, thus, it is important in formulating conclusions and recommendations aimed at enhancing the sports coaching practice and training program in Philippines.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors contributing to the low teacher ratio in public elementary schools in Banyumas Regency, understand the potential risks if this issue is not addressed, and propose solutions. The research employs a qualitative study with an exploratory descriptive design, involving in-depth interviews with school principals, data triangulation with teachers and the Banyumas Regency Education Office, and data analysis using NVivo 14 software for visualization and analysis. The findings indicate that geographical location of schools, adaptation to new cultures, and policies play significant roles in the low teacher ratio in rural schools. The risks associated include a decline in education quality, increased workload for teachers, and negative impacts on student quality. Solutions implemented include the recruitment and transfer of teachers, as well as improvements in infrastructure and facilities. Collaboration between the government, schools, and local communities is necessary, along with the implementation of policies that support a more equitable and fair distribution of teachers.

Abstract

Self-talk berperan penting dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan rasa percaya diri atlet, membantu mereka mengatasi rasa cemas, serta mendorong peningkatan kemampuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas penggunaan self-talk dalam olahraga, mengingat kurangnya motivasi dan rasa percaya diri pada atlet. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan pencarian literatur melalui database PubMed, dibatasi pada kriteria tertentu dan jurnal internasional yang terindeks. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self-talk dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dan kesehatan mental. Selain itu, self-talk membantu atlet mengendalikan pikiran dan perasaan, baik sebelum maupun saat pertandingan atau aktivitas olahraga lainnya.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop a product in the form of an application that can measure the results of physical fitness tests in creative gymnastics. The result of this study is a media product in the form of an application. A total of 30 students, aged 14-15 years, were the subjects of this study. This study was validated by three experts. The first is the media expert, namely the IT specialist of the Physical Education programme (85%), the material expert, namely the teacher of the State Junior High School 4 Palembang (88%), and the language expert, namely the secretary of the Indonesian Language Education programme (84%), using a questionnaire with various questions. From the three experts there is an average (86%). The application of measuring the results of physical fitness test of gymnastics creation is a media tool to measure several test components that are feasible to use. Based on the statistical test results of the study with a test of normality of 0.089, and a test of homogeneity of 1,000 and a test of independent samples of 1,000. It can be concluded that the measurement of the results of the application-based creation gymnastics physical fitness test developed and tested for validity and effectiveness can be used in teaching and learning activities.
