Abstract

This study is prompted by various discoveries, including the fact that teachers have not used learning media efficiently, resulting in students who do not comprehend the notion of learning and a lack of student interest in the learning process. The goal of this study was to create Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) based digital comic media and assess its practicality, efficacy, and students' reactions to it to improve students' conceptual comprehension and motivation in scientific learning. This is a sort of development study. The development model employed is a 4-D model that includes steps for defining, designing, creating, and deploying. The results revealed that digital comic validation was performed based on numerous factors, with the material aspect receiving an average of 3.6 with the Very Valid criterion. Using the Extremely Valid criterion, the aspects of the questions received an average of 3.6. Using the Valid criterion, Display Aspect received an average of 3.46. The final test results following the media application revealed that the average student learning outcomes in the experimental class were greater than those in the control class. The analysis of the findings of students filling out the motivation to learn questionnaire is likewise at a very high level.

Abstract

Understanding by Design (UBD) is a recommended learning model in the independent learning curriculum. The issue in this study is that Indonesia is a country of a million disasters so it is important to have broad insights related to disasters and their mitigation. The reality is that students still lack insight into disasters and their mitigation. The purpose of the study was to improve the disaster literacy of students using the UBD learning model with pop-up book media. Quantitative methods were used in the study. The population in this study was SD N Experimental Padang, West Sumatra which had a sample of 42 students divided into a control class and an experimental class. The result of the application of the UBD model is the result of statistical analysis with a t-test showing that the value of the t coefficient is 19,252 with a df of 20 and a p-value of 0.00. The coefficient is p-value<y= 0.05.  Demikian, it can be concluded that the test rejects H0 or accepts H1.  The test results have a significant influence on UBD's learning model with pop-up book media on increasing student disaster literacy. The conclusion of this study is to use the UBD learning model with pop-up book media to increase disaster literacy in elementary school students.

The research method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with the following procedures: (1) Formulate research questions (problem formulation) related to the title; (2) Conduct a search for journal data/Literature Systematic Review (enter keywords into the journal search database); (3) Conduct screening and selection for research journals that are following research problems; (4) The data used is then analyzed; (5) Conducts a critical review of the journals used to see the suitability of the relevant journal criteria; (6) The data has been analyzed, then concluded so that be a conclusion regarding SLR; and (7) Make a final report of the SLR research. The sample for the analysis is 9 published journal articles published in the 2013-2022 range. Based on the classification of journal articles divided into, the research method is 6 Classroom Action Research (PTK) journals and 3 Experimental journals, then based on the lower-class and upper-class categories, and based on subject analysis. This study aimed to reveal the obstacles, strategies, and results of instilling a disciplinary character through congregational prayer in Indonesian elementary schools. The method used in this study was a systematic literature review. The information used contained an attitude of discipline. The literature review process began by searching for relevant articles, evaluating them by data extraction, and then comparing the results of the literature. The database used was Google Scholar. (2) The strategy found in dealing with obstacles in instilling disciplinary character is imposing sanctions on students who refuse to pray. (3) The results of cultivating discipline through congregational prayer can improve student worship discipline. The implications of this study are as follows: First, the teacher can set an example for their students in cultivating the character of discipline through the habit of congregational prayer at school. Second, parents can monitor the program that has been implemented at school. Third, students can become accustomed to doing good things, which they can then apply in everyday life. Abstract

This study examines the learning strategies of Special Assistance Teachers (GPK) for students with slow learner barriers of inclusive elementary school age. A qualitative case study approach is used to answer research questions. Sumbersari 1 public elementary school in Malang City was chosen as the research location for two main reasons, namely as the official inclusion primary school for the education office and at the same time as the oldest inclusive primary school and as a reference in Malang City. Six students with slow learner barriers and one special accompanying teacher became research participants for three months. The results showed that the learning strategies used were visual media, drill methods, remedial, teaching everyday life, and approaching slow-learning children with special needs through intense communication. The inhibiting factors of this strategy are learning that requires high reasoning, making slow learners with special needs often feel difficult, low self-confidence, insufficient number of GPK, and less cooperative parents. The supporting factors for this strategy are adequate facilities, appropriate methods, and smooth communication between slow learners, special assistance teachers, and children with special needs.
