Abstract

The growth of Indonesia's beauty industry has led to increased consumption of cosmetic products, contributing significantly to packaging waste. The #FDSustainabeauty campaign initiated by Female Daily Network aims to educate the public about sustainable beauty practices and waste management. This study analyzes the participation of women, as dominant consumers of beauty products, in the campaign across four stages: decision-making, implementation, utilization, and evaluation. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. Results indicate that while women were not involved in decision-making, they actively participated during implementation and showed varying levels of ecological reflection in the utilization stage. However, formal mechanisms for evaluation were lacking. This study emphasizes the strategic role of visual narratives, incentives, and digital engagement in shaping women’s participation in environmental initiatives. The findings contribute to the literature on ecofeminism and participatory communication, offering practical insights for future sustainable campaigns.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the marketing strategy of Murabahah financing products in micro businesses implemented by BPRS Al-Washliyah Medan Krakatau. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, data was obtained through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The analysis was carried out using the SWOT model and Business Model Canvas (BMC). The results of the study indicate that BPRS has internal strengths in the form of sharia principles, community networks, and fast service, with external opportunities from increasing interest in sharia financing and the growth of MSMEs. The marketing strategy is focused on a personal, educational approach, and the use of social media, although it still faces challenges such as low sharia financial literacy and limited human resources. Despite a decrease in the number of accounts, the nominal financing remains high, reflecting an increase in the quality of fund distribution. The study concludes that the success of the marketing strategy depends on optimizing human resources, digitizing services, and strengthening sharia values in facing modern financial competition.

This research focused on small and medium-scale enterprises (SMSE) in tourism site from Hamadi to Holtekamp beach, Jayapura Municipality. The identification of income from the nine SMSEs studied found that only three SMSEs experienced a significant impact from the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, from the workforce aspect, five SMSEs experienced a reduction in workforce during the Covid-19 period. In terms of visitor trends, Six SMSEs encountered the impact of the pandemic. Regarding the government policy intervention, there were budgets allocated for the prevention of Covid-19 in the SMSE sector, namely, Unexpected Expenditures Budget as well as Grant Budget with total of Rp. 7,314,685,000 which was realized at only Rp. 3,078,448,925 or 42.09%.  In addition, the SMSE business managers viewed that the designed policies, program and activities were not precise for them. This research proposes some strategies: (1) providing assistance to increase SMSE resistance during the pandemic; (2) encouraging collaboration between government and business actors to improve business innovation which will increase SMSE business capacity (3) maximizing the use of digital platforms. As this research only relied on the perspectives of business owners and on regulations as well as government financial report documents, it is suggested that further research using various empirical data can be conducted, hence the factors determining the economic recovery strategy among SMSE can be more persistent. This study contributed to identification of SMSE strategy to sustain the business during covid-19 in eastern part of Indonesia.

Abstract

Bureaucracy reform within the Indonesian National Army (TNI) is a strategic step to improve good and clean governance in the face of the dynamics and demands of global environmental changes. Despite various efforts that have been made, the implementation of bureaucracy reform in the TNI still faces challenges related to inefficiency, internal resistance, and a bureaucratic culture that holds a strong hierarchy. The main problem raised in this study is how bureaucracy reform can encourage transparency, accountability, and increased efficiency in TNI institutions. This study aims to analyse the effectiveness of bureaucracy reform in realizing good and clean governance within TNI by using the institutional theory. The method used is a literature review by reviewing various policy documents, previous research reports, and relevant publications to understand the implementation of bureaucracy reform within the TNI. Institutional theory emphasizes three essential pillars, namely the regulatory pillar, normative pillar, and cultural cognitive pillar, where these three factors are the framework of analysis in this study. The results of the study show that these three factors significantly affect the efforts to change the institution carried out through bureaucracy reform. Increased transparency and accountability have been achieved in some parts of the Organization, but to realize good and clean governance as a whole, commitment and consistency are still needed in the implementation of sustainable bureaucracy reform.

Abstract

The shift in lifestyle has transformed payment systems in West Kalimantan, moving toward cashless transactions. Non-cash payments, particularly through e-wallets, have become increasingly popular compared to traditional cash payments. This change in consumer behavior stems from various factors. This study analyzes data on server-based electronic transactions in West Kalimantan from 2021 to 2024. However, uncontrolled use of e-wallets during shopping can lead to excessive purchases of non-priority items, often unnoticed by users, resulting in consumptive behavior. This research examines the impact of Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, and Promotion on the consumptive behavior of ShopeePay users among university students in Pontianak City. A quantitative associative research design was employed to explore relationships between variables. Data were gathered using structured questionnaires distributed to active students in Pontianak, measured with a Likert scale, and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) via SmartPLS 3.0 software. The findings demonstrate that Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, and Promotion significantly influence consumptive behavior. Ease of use minimizes transaction barriers and promotes spending, perceived usefulness enhances efficiency and encourages frequent use, while promotions, such as discounts and cashback, have the strongest effect by triggering impulse purchases. Although FinTech innovations like ShopeePay offer convenience, they also pose challenges in managing spending habits. The study underscores the need for financial literacy programs and awareness campaigns to encourage responsible financial behavior. Future research should explore broader populations, cultural influences, and group behaviors to provide deeper insights into consumptive patterns. Additionally, e-wallet providers are advised to implement budget control features and financial reminders to assist users in managing transactions more wisely.
