Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of herding and overconfidence on investment decisions, with risk perception as a moderating variable among young investors in Surabaya. A quantitative method was used with 100 purposively selected respondents. Data were gathered through structured questionnaires and analyzed using PLS-SEM via SmartPLS 4.0. Results show that herding and overconfidence significantly and positively influence investment decisions. However, risk perception does not moderate the effect of herding, indicating that social factors may outweigh individual risk awareness. In contrast, risk perception significantly weakens the impact of overconfidence, suggesting that risk-aware investors are more cautious and rational. These findings align with the Theory of Planned Behavior, emphasizing the role of perceived behavioral control. The study highlights the importance of addressing behavioral biases and risk perception in financial education to support better investment decision-making.

Abstract

Libraries play an important role in increasing students' reading interest. Digitalization expands access and attracts the interest of the younger generation, although challenges in accessing technology still exist. Evaluation of the effectiveness of digitization is necessary. The role of teachers, parents, and collaboration between libraries, schools, families, and government support is crucial for optimally supporting literacy development. The digital library at MAN 1 Medan shows that digital library services play an important role in increasing students' reading interest. The effectiveness and accessibility of the digital library, as well as the factors influencing its use, significantly contribute to the increase in students' reading interest. The digitization of the library at MAN 1 Medan significantly enhances students' reading interest. The research uses a qualitative approach with methods such as literature study, interviews, observations, and documentation from students, teachers, and librarians. Data is analyzed through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, and its validity is tested through triangulation. The research results are expected to provide a clear picture of the effectiveness of library digitization and serve as a reference for future studies. The digital library implemented since 2024 aims to increase students' reading interest by providing access to a more diverse collection and digital applications. Digitalization is effective if supported by good implementation and the active role of teachers. Accessibility, ease of use, internet network quality, and the relevance of digital collections are important factors. Despite its great potential, digital libraries require more outreach, adequate infrastructure, and support from various parties to achieve optimal results.

Abstract

The advancement of technology has driven consumer behavior changes toward digital transactions, including the use of e-wallets. Although the Dana application has become one of the most popular e-wallets in Pontianak, with a 72% increase in users in 2023, complaints regarding ease of use, security, and user satisfaction persist. This study aims to analyze the influence of Perceived Ease of Use and Trust on Intention to Re-Use, with Customer Satisfaction as an intervening variable. The research employs a quantitative approach with 100 respondents selected through purposive sampling and analyzed using Partial Least Squares-based Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that Perceived Ease of Use significantly affects Customer Satisfaction (T-Statistic = 3.519; P-Value = 0.000) but does not significantly impact Intention to Re-Use (T-Statistic = 0.330; P-Value = 0.742). Conversely, Trust significantly influences both Customer Satisfaction (T-Statistic = 6.094; P-Value = 0.000) and Intention to Re-Use (T-Statistic = 2.527; P-Value = 0.012). User satisfaction mediates the relationships among these variables, indicating that satisfaction and trust are key factors in enhancing user loyalty to the Dana application.

Abstract

To improve students' learning outcomes, 21st-century educational development demands innovative and efficient teaching approaches. This study examines the intrinsic motivation of teachers at SMTI Vocational High School Pontianak and the influence of the non-physical work environment and career development. The research background highlights the importance of understanding what drives teachers' motivation, as it is critical for enhancing overall educational performance. Intrinsic motivation is crucial; however, few studies have explored the relationship between career development and the non-physical work environment. Involving 62 civil servant teachers from SMTI Vocational High School Pontianak, this study employed an associative quantitative research design. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire with a Likert scale ranging from 1 to 5. The data were then analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings reveal that intrinsic motivation is significantly influenced by the non-physical work environment and career development. Teachers' intrinsic motivation (Y) can be enhanced by improving the non-physical work environment (X1) and career development (X2), as shown by the regression equation Y = 1.921 + 0.250X1 + 0.316X2 + e. A strong relationship between the variables is indicated by the correlation coefficient (R = 0.670). Meanwhile, the coefficient of determination (R2 = 0.449) shows that the two independent variables account for 44.9% of the variation in intrinsic motivation. In summary, this study emphasizes the importance of enhancing teachers' intrinsic motivation by creating a supportive work environment and well-organized career development programs. Future research should explore other factors influencing motivation, such as organizational culture and leadership style, to gain a deeper understanding of the dynamics of teacher performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the ijarah contract on gold pawn products at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Purwoharjo Banyuwangi Branch Office. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with primary data sources obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation, as well as secondary data including literature studies and fatwas from the National Sharia Council (DSN) MUI. The data collection process involves structured interviews with related banks, direct observation of the implementation of gold pawn products, and documentation in the form of notes and photos. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman theory which includes three stages: data categorization, data reduction, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the ijarah contract is applied in gold pawn transactions as a rental mechanism for storing collateral, where the bank functions as a gold keeper without transferring ownership. This ijarah contract is carried out simultaneously with the rahn (pawn) contract, with administrative costs calculated based on the weight of the gold and rental costs (ujrah) for storing goods. The implementation of the ijarah contract in the gold pawn product at BSI Purwoharjo Banyuwangi has been in accordance with sharia principles, providing easy access to financing for customers, and ensuring transparency and security of transactions.

Abstract

The rapid growth of the palm oil industry in North Sumatra encourages companies to increase their competitiveness, one of which is through achieving customer satisfaction. This study aims to determine the effect of company reputation, customer trust, and distribution channels on customer satisfaction at PT Inti Palm Sumatra, both partially and simultaneously. The study was conducted quantitatively using a survey method through a questionnaire distributed to 46 customers of PT Inti Palm Sumatra in 2024, which were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out through validity and reliability tests, multiple linear regression, and t-tests and F-tests. The results of the study showed that partially, company reputation, customer trust, and distribution channels each had a significant effect on customer satisfaction. Simultaneously, the three variables were also proven to have a significant effect on customer satisfaction. Thus, all hypotheses in this study are accepted. These findings emphasize the importance of improving the company's image, building trust, and effective distribution arrangements as strategies to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty amidst increasingly fierce business competition.

Abstract

Performance measurement is an evaluation of the implementation of activities to achieve the expected goals by assessing both financial and non-financial performance. The public perception of the programs carried out by the Garut Regency P2KBP3A Service still reflects stereotypes and outdated mindsets, which impact the failure to meet the expected program performance targets. This research aims to analyze how performance measurement is conducted at the Garut Regency P2KBP3A Service using the Balanced Scorecard model through four perspectives. The research applies a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative methods using interactive data analysis and quantitative methods using descriptive analysis. Data collection was conducted through interviews, questionnaire distribution, and document analysis. The study results show that performance measurement at the Garut Regency P2KBP3A Service, viewed through the Balanced Scorecard model using four perspectives, is considered good. This indicates that the Garut Regency P2KBP3A Service has carried out programs according to its duties and responsibilities. However, some programs still fail to meet the targeted performance objectives.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of physical and non-physical work environment on the work ethic of civil servants at the Population and Civil Registration Office of Landak Regency. As technology advances and workplace dynamics change, the environment in which people work becomes increasingly important to their effectiveness. This study sought to examine how elements such as workplace layout, lighting, equipment, and interpersonal dynamics between coworkers and superiors can affect motivation and work ethic. Data were collected from 39 government workers through questionnaires and then analyzed using multiple linear regression using SPSS 25. The results showed that the physical environment had a substantial positive influence on work ethic (β = 0.327, p 0.05), implying that an aesthetically pleasing office is essential in enhancing work motivation. However, the non-physical environment, including human relations and organizational culture, had no significant effect (β = 0.031, p 0.05). This suggests that while a good workplace culture is important, it may not directly influence work ethic as much as a pleasant and well-functioning physical environment. This research suggests that improving physical working conditions is a strategic method to improve employee performance. Further research could focus on other factors, such as leadership style or job satisfaction, which may also contribute to building a strong work ethic.
