Abstract

Globalization and the increasing trend of transnational crime require countries in the world to collaborate and cooperate with each other in dealing with the phenomenon of massive development of transnational crime. In relation to this, it requires Polri institutions to improve their foreign language competence in order to actively participate in their role in the international arena. With the demand for the development of Polri human resources to improve their language skills, the transformation of Sebasa Polri as a learning organization through the U-theory approach is a necessity that is relevant to contemporary conditions. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the transformation of Sebasa Polri as a learning organization using the U-theory approach to develop the human resources of teaching staff. The method used is a literature study to collect and analyze secondary data from reputable journals, government publications and related academic sources. The results of the study revealed that the application of U theory through the observing, presencing, and actuating stages can help Sebasa Polri in identifying the challenges of the conventional learning pattern system, building individual awareness and collective awareness, and implementing innovative strategies in educator development. The challenges that exist in the change focus on organizational culture resistance, limited resources, and lack of policy support from the leadership. Transformation as a learning organization has the potential to improve teaching effectiveness and optimize the capacity of human resources within the National Police, which in a broader role can strengthen the role of the National Police in preparing its personnel to face the challenges of globalization.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of Equivalent Rate and Return On Asset (ROA) on asset growth at the Sharia People's Credit Bank (BPRS) Puduarta Insani. The method used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis to examine the relationship between independent and dependent variables. The results indicate that the Equivalent Rate has a significant positive effect on the asset growth of BPRS, with a significance value (sig-t) of 0.045, which is less than 0.05. This indicates that an increase in the Equivalent Rate will be followed by an increase in asset growth. On the other hand, ROA shows a positive but insignificant relationship with asset growth, with a significance value (sig-t) of 0.687, which is greater than 0.05. These findings emphasize the importance of managing the Equivalent Rate in driving asset growth for BPRS, while ROA cannot be considered a primary indicator in this context. This research contributes to BPRS management in formulating more effective strategies to enhance asset performance.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of internal and external factors, as well as competition, on the performance of marketing strategies in Indonesia’s scrap metal industry. This industry plays a crucial role in the circular economy by supplying secondary raw materials to various manufacturing sectors. However, companies in this sector face challenges such as raw material price fluctuations, government regulations, and intense competition from both local and global players. This study employs a quantitative approach using the Structural Unobserved Regression (SUR) method to examine the relationship between key factors affecting the marketing performance of four scrap metal companies in Indonesia. The findings reveal that the average selling price has a positive and significant impact on marketing performance in PT OPMS, PT GDST, and PT GGRP, while global market demand significantly affects PT KRAS. Competitor product variations also positively influence PT GGRP. Conversely, marketing expenditures, interest rates, and competitor prices do not significantly impact most companies. This study confirms that optimizing selling prices, understanding global market demand, and adapting to competitor product variations are key factors in enhancing competitiveness. Therefore, companies must implement flexible pricing strategies, improve operational efficiency, and expand their global market share to address industry challenges.

Abstract

This article examines the dynamic relationship between Islam and the science of rationality in the perspective of Islamic educational philosophy, focusing on the dialectics formed in the development of educational concepts and practices. A philosophical approach is used to analyze the interaction of the two elements, revealing how Islamic values can synergize with the principles of scientific rationality to build a balanced, relevant, and transformative educational paradigm. This research is based on a qualitative analysis method, by integrating various primary and secondary sources. The results of the study show that the collaboration between Islamic spirituality and scientific rationality is able to encourage more progressive educational innovation while building awareness of the importance of knowledge as part of religion. This emphasis on integration makes a significant contribution to creating an education system that is holistic, contextual, and oriented towards universal human values.

Abstract

Waste problems are basically caused by unlimited human needs, which to fulfill their needs must use various sources that are not fully used. Jombang Regency is one of the regencies in East Java that always wins the Adipura award. However, based on SIPSN data in 2023, the volume of waste in Jombang Regency in 2023 reached 530.37 tons per day with the largest source of waste from households. Residents of Jombang Regency must have a sense of responsibility for the waste they produce, by managing waste from the source. Kaliwungu Urban Village has successfully implemented community-based waste management by prioritizing the 3R principles so that it is used as a pilot for the implementation of the Si BESUT 3AH program. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with the aim to analyze the participation of Kaliwungu Urban Village residents in the Si BESUT 3AH waste management program using the theory of participation forms. The data analysis technique is through data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results showed that the residents of Kaliwungu Urban Village have contributed to the Si BESUT 3AH program from decision making on the waste management activity plan, sorting waste from home and collecting waste to the waste bank, processing recycled waste into various creations that have selling value, and providing suggestions and criticism as an evaluation of the activity, so that it can be used as a reference for residents in other areas to manage waste from the source.
