Abstract

This research was used to analyze, understand and identify the relationship between the human development index and the percentage of poverty in East Java in 2023, the period of economic recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic. Poverty is a complex problem related to population, economics, social and culture. East Java is the third poorest province on the island of Java, with a poverty rate of 10.35% as of March 2023. Sampang City is the city with the highest poverty rate, namely 21.76%. The simple correlation method is used to analyze the relationship between two variables and also measure the strength and direction of influence of the variables used so that it can be identified how big the relationship between variables is statistically. The variables used are the human development index value for one year (2023) and the poverty percentage variable in 2023. The results of decision making after processing the data, it can be concluded that the HDI results have a relationship with the poverty percentage of East Java in 2023 with a correlation value amounting to 0.810 which is included in the strong correlation category so that the research hypothesis can be accepted. The correlation in the research has a negative direction. Negative correlation means that an increase in the HDI variable is accompanied by a decrease in the percentage of poverty, and vice versa.

Abstract

The rising incidence of student delinquency, including truancy, fighting, and involvement in youth gangs, has prompted the implementation of a military-style rehabilitation program in Purwakarta Regency as an alternative strategy for addressing behavioral problems. This study aims to evaluate the program's implementation, stakeholder perceptions, and its impact on student attitudes and behavior. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the program effectively fosters short-term behavioral changes by enforcing strict discipline and routine. However, the changes often diminish after reintegration into the school environment due to a lack of sustained support. While parents generally respond positively, concerns persist regarding the psychological intensity of the intervention. The study also reveals a heavy reliance on external interventions due to inadequate internal counseling systems within schools. It concludes that although the military approach serves as an initial behavioral trigger, long-term transformation requires a shift toward more humanistic models involving restorative practices, trained school counselors, and holistic educational policies to ensure sustainable support for at-risk students

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the influence of Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and service quality on public interest in using Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) services in Pematang Siantar City. This study adopted a quantitative method with primary data collected through a field survey of 30 selected respondents using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out by multiple linear regression using SPSS version 26 software. The results showed that partially, both TPB and service quality have a significant impact on people's interest in using BSI. In addition, simultaneously, the two variables also contribute significantly in influencing customer interest. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 42.8% indicates that TPB and service quality are able to explain most of the variation in people's interest, while the rest is influenced by other factors not included in this research model. This study confirms that factors such as behavioral attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, as well as service quality dimensions such as tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy play an important role in the community's decision-making process to use Islamic banking services. The practical implications of these findings emphasize the importance of increasing education and promotion of Islamic banking principles and products to the wider community. BSI is advised to continue to innovate in service aspects and strengthen the elements of SDGs in order to increase public interest, especially in potential areas such as Pematang Siantar.

Abstract

The strategy of integrating cultural values in managing human resources in the Ministry of Defense plays a crucial role in increasing organizational effectiveness. This study aims to analyze how cultural values can be integrated into the policy of human resources effectively by considering existing challenges. Using the mixed methods approach, NVivo 12 for qualitative and SEM-PLS 4 analysis to test the variable relationship quantitatively. The results of the NVivo 12 analysis show that the main challenges in the integration of cultural values lie in the sustainability of policies, sanctions, and strengthening regulations. Meanwhile, the SEM-PLS 4 results show that the integration of cultural values in managing human resources is negatively related to the effectiveness of employee performance (O = -0.573, T-statistics = 5.073, p = 0.000). This shows that culture-based policies that are not in harmony with regulations can create ambiguity, reduce discipline, and reduce work motivation. By referring to the two-factor Herzberg and Resource-Based View theories, this research emphasizes the importance of a clear regulatory-based approach in integrating organizational culture. This study fills the previous research gap, which is more focused on the influence of organizational culture in general, by providing specific analysis related to the integration of cultural values in managing human resources in the defense sector.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of price and service quality on the purchase decisions of pilgrims who choose PT Haji Mabrur Barokah in Pontianak. The research method employed is quantitative with an associative approach, where data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents. The results indicate that all research instruments are valid and reliable, and the data distribution is normal. The linearity test shows a linear relationship between price and service quality on purchase decisions. The multiple linear regression analysis reveals that both price and service quality have a positive and significant impact on purchase decisions, with regression coefficients of 0.162 for price and 0.480 for service quality. The F-test shows that both variables simultaneously have a significant effect on purchase decisions, while the t-test indicates a significant effect of each variable partially. The coefficient of determination of 39.1% indicates that price and service quality can explain the effect on purchase decisions, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Innovation in the use of the Electronic Official Manuscript Application (NADINE) at the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury of South Sulawesi Province. This study is qualitative, therefore to achieve the objectives of the study, data collection techniques are used, namely observation, interviews and documentation. This study uses four indicators, namely Having Uniqueness, Having Characteristics or Elements of Renewal, Having a Planned Program, and Having a Purpose. The results of this study indicate that the Innovation in the use of the Electronic Official Manuscript Application (NADINE) at the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury of South Sulawesi Province can be said to be "optimal" based on the indicators of Miles B, Matthew's theory (1973), namely: 1) Having Uniqueness, lies in the automatic notification feature that informs users when a letter or order comes in, then there is an electronic signature feature that can be accessed anytime and anywhere, and there is a real-time document status tracking feature that makes it easier to monitor document flow. 2) Having characteristics or elements of renewal, this Innovation replaces the paper-based manual system with a more efficient digital system. Then there is a standard template feature in document creation to ensure format consistency and minimize errors. With features such as data encryption and user authentication, documents are protected from unauthorized access. 3) Having a Planned Program, the NADINE Application was designed and implemented to overcome obstacles in the management of correspondence that arose during the COVID-19 pandemic. This innovation involves a program that includes needs analysis, application development, intensive training, system trials, socialization, and technical assistance. With structured training, and continuous evaluation, NADINE has been successfully implemented to support more efficient management of official documents in various units. 4) Having a Purpose, the NADINE Application was created with the aim of improving the official document management system, which was previously still done manually and was often time-consuming and prone to errors. Through the implementation of this application, the process of compiling, archiving, and distributing official documents becomes faster, well-organized, and efficient.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of group counseling with the Dispute Cognitive technique in reducing people pleaser behavior in class VIII students of MTsN Kota Tanjungbalai. The research method used is a quantitative research method with a quasi-experimental approach (quasi experiment) with a one group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 30 students who were selected purposively based on the results of observations and recommendations from BK teachers. The main instrument was a Likert scale questionnaire that measured six aspects of people pleaser behavior. The results showed a decrease in the average score from 40.10 (pretest) to 35.07 (posttest), and the Wilcoxon test showed a significance value of 0.011 (p 0.05), which means there was a significant difference before and after treatment. These findings indicate that the Dispute Cognitive technique is effective in helping students change irrational thinking patterns to be more rational and build healthy social behavior. This study provides important implications for guidance and counseling services in schools to develop cognitive interventions that focus on strengthening students' identity and assertiveness.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of sharia stock investment technology on investment interest in Medan City using the UTAUT model and adding sharia insights as a moderating variable. The method used is quantitative analysis using SEM-PLS on 160 respondents who are sharia stock investors. The results show that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and social influence significantly affect investment interest. Sharia insights also have a direct positive impact and significantly moderate the influence of effort expectancy and social influence on interest, but not on performance expectancy. These findings emphasize the importance of technological ease and religious understanding in encouraging interest in sharia investment. The development of platform features and early financial literacy, particularly related to Islamic principles, is recommended to enhance participation. This study expands the application of UTAUT by highlighting the role of religious literacy in technology acceptance.
