Abstract

The VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) era is transforming into BANI (Brittle, Anxious, Non-linear, Incomprehensible), presenting complex challenges for family education. This research aims to analyze the relevance of Ki Hajar Dewantara's philosophy (Ing Ngarso Sung Tuladla; Ing Madya Mangun Karsa; Tut Wuri Handayani) in the context of family education (child-rearing behavior) in the era of VUCA transition towards BANI through various philosophical perspectives. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method (library research) and phenomenological research type. Secondary data were collected from various relevant sources such as books, scientific journals, and articles. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques and phenomenological interpretation, which included data reduction, data categorization, data interpretation, data synthesis, and phenomenological reflection. The research data is presented based on the perspective of the interpretive framework (Postpositivism, Constructivism, Transformative, Pragmatism, and Critical) and the framework of belief (Ontology, Epistemology, Axiology and Methodology) The results show that Ki Hajar Dewantara's philosophy has potential relevance in the context of family education in the era of VUCA transition to BANI. The concept of Ing Ngarso Sung Tulodho emphasizes the role of parents as role models. Ing Madya Mangun Karsa highlights the importance of building motivation and active participation of children. Tut Wuri Handayani underscores supporting and empowering children according to their potential. Ki Hajar Dewantara's philosophy offers a relevant guideline for family education in facing the complexity of the VUCA era towards BANI evidenced by a framework of beliefs and a framework of interpretation.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the Legal Protection for Child Prisoners of Narcotics at the Class I Special Development Institution for Children in Medan based on Law No. 11 of 2012 concerning the Juvenile Criminal Justice System. The type of research used by the author is field research with a qualitative descriptive method. It employs a socio-legal approach and a statute approach, while the types of data used consist of primary and secondary data. The problem in this study is that Article 98 paragraph 1 of the Compilation of Islamic Law states that the age limit for a child who is able to stand independently or is considered an adult is 21 years, provided that the child does not have physical or mental disabilities and has never been married. The results of this study indicate that the Legal Protection for Child Prisoners of Narcotics at the Class I Special Development Institution for Children in Medan based on Law No. 11 of 2012 concerning the Juvenile Criminal Justice System is, in Islamic law, known as Maqāsid Al-Syarī’ah, which consists of two words: Maqāsid, meaning objectives and purposes, and Al-Syarī’ah, meaning the establishment of Allah’s law, which serves as a guide for humans to achieve happiness in this world and in the hereafter.

Abstract

Air is an absolute necessity for human life and livelihood. The existence of pollution and damage to air quality will greatly impact humans in all areas of life. The Indonesian Constitution in Article 28H paragraph (1) guarantees the right of its citizens to obtain a good and healthy environment, so that mutatis mutandis this also raises the burden of state responsibility to fulfill it. Due to the occurrence of air pollution in the DKI Jakarta Province and surrounding areas that have disrupted the activities of citizens, the Ibukota Movement Advocacy Team (Inisiatif Bersihkan Udara Koalisi Semesta) filed its claim for healthy air with a citizen lawsuit mechanism. Through the Central Jakarta District Court Decision Number 374/PDT.G/LH/2019/PN.JKT.PST, the panel of judges decided that the government had committed an illegal act, so the state must be responsible for the air pollution that occurred

Abstract

A decline in employee productivity often stems from suboptimal work performance, which can impact overall company efficiency. This study aims to evaluate employee performance at PT. Tanjung Morawa Megah Box, North Sumatra, by analyzing the effects of work interest, competence, and job satisfaction, along with their interactions. Utilizing a quantitative research approach, data analysis was conducted using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method to examine relationships between these variables. The findings indicate that competence significantly influences employee performance, as evidenced by a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. Similarly, work interest also has a significant and positive effect on performance, with a significance level of 0.002 < 0.05. Job satisfaction acts as a crucial mediating variable in linking competence and work interest to performance, with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. The interaction analysis further highlights that enhancing employee competence and fostering job satisfaction can strengthen the impact of work interest on performance. When combined, work interest, competence, and job satisfaction contribute significantly to employee performance, with the overall model showing a strong significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. These findings suggest that companies should focus on comprehensive training programs, employee motivation initiatives, and the development of a positive work environment. By prioritizing these aspects, organizations can enhance employee engagement and performance, ultimately driving business success and sustainability. Future research may explore additional factors such as leadership style, organizational culture, and career development opportunities to further refine strategies for improving workforce productivity.

Abstract

The development of digital financial technology has brought ease of transactions, but also increased the risk of credit card misuse, especially illegal transactions that are not carried out by customers. This study aims to find out the normative review of consumer protection regulations in the financial services sector (banks), to analyze the DSN-MUI fatwa on unauthorized transactions and forms of customer protection, to find out the form of protection provided by banks to credit card users, and, to find out the form of responsibility of banks for illegal transactions experienced by customers. This type of research is juridical-normative with  a conceptual approach and a statute approach. Data is collected through document studies and then data is processed qualitatively and analyzed using deductive logic. The results of the study show that banks have an absolute responsibility in ensuring the security of the transaction system and are obliged to provide protection to customers. The DSN-MUI fatwa emphasizes the importance of a valid contract and the principle of justice, which prohibits the imposition of losses on customers for transactions without consent. Real cases such as credit card break-ins by third parties show the weakness of banks' verification systems and digital security. Therefore, customer protection needs to be carried out through preventive (such as improving consumer security and education systems) and repressive approaches (such as compensation and administrative sanctions). This study emphasizes the importance of collaboration between positive law and sharia principles in protecting consumers for transactions made from credit card holders so that transactions do not occur without customer consent

Abstract

This study analyzes the formation of political preferences among Muslim women in North Sumatra during the 2024 General Election, focusing on the dynamic intersection of religion, culture, and social networks. Drawing on data from 152 respondents collected through online surveys and in-depth interviews, the study finds that culture, particularly through family norms, domestic responsibilities, and spousal influence, emerges as the most dominant factor (93.4%) in shaping electoral decisions. Religion (77.6%) functions as a source of moral legitimation but is often actualized within cultural contexts and channeled through social networks. Social networks (42.1%) act as conduits for political narratives, primarily via social media and religious figures. This research challenges the simple dichotomy between agency and structure, demonstrating that women’s political autonomy does not always equate to individual independence but often manifests as a form of reflective obedience—wherein choices are forged through a negotiation between religious values, familial demands, and personal aspirations. These findings indicate that women are not merely passive recipients of influence but actively interpret and assign meaning to their political choices. To enhance women’s substantive participation, empowerment strategies must be holistic, addressing the transformation of family norms, the reinforcement of an inclusive religious identity, and the strengthening of social capacity. Consequently, the domestic sphere can be transformed from a restrictive space into a political power base for Muslim women.

Abstract

Over-The-Top (OTT) services like Spotify have transformed the way digital content is consumed in Indonesia, highlighting the urgent need for effective copyright protection. This study evaluates the effectiveness of copyright protection for digital content on OTT platforms, focusing on Spotify's policies and their alignment with Law No. 28 of 2014 on Copyright . The research questions addressed include the effectiveness of copyright protection for digital content on OTT platforms and the relevance of Indonesia’s legal policies with Spotify's policies. Spotify complies with UUHC through mechanisms such as the removal of infringing content, blocking user access, and implementing royalty policies involving Collective Management Organizations (LMK). These policies ensure fair compensation for creators and align with Indonesian regulations, reflecting a commitment to copyright protection and supporting creativity in the digital age.

Abstract

Climate change and ecological pressures such as forest fires, land conversion, and natural resource degradation have a significant impact on the sustainability of the lives of protected forest buffer village communities in East Kalimantan. This research aims to assess the social-ecological readiness of the community in facing these pressures and design an adaptive and contextual community-based strategic model, with a case study of the Sungai Wain Protection Forest (HLSW). The method used was a mixed-methods approach consisting of three main techniques: (1) household survey of 200 respondents from two villages (RT 38 Karang Joang Village (Sungai Wain Village) and Lamaru Village) directly adjacent to the HLSW area, (2) focus group discussions (FGDs) and in-depth interviews with 30 key informants from village government, customary, NGOs, and forestry agencies, and (3) social ecological mapping using a participatory approach with the help of GIS technology. The results identified three clusters of community readiness, namely: “strong adaptive”, “transition moderation”, and “ecologically vulnerable”. Villages active in social forestry programs and involved in initiatives such as ProKlim and Green Growth Compact showed better economic and institutional readiness than villages dependent on traditional agriculture. This research has led to the development of community-based adaptation strategies that can be adopted by other forest buffer villages in Indonesia. This approach can increase the effectiveness of policy interventions within the framework of locally-based natural resource management and disaster risk reduction.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of financial literacy, financial inclusion, and income on the financial behavior of MSMEs in the culinary sector in Sekadau Regency. MSMEs play a significant role in the economy, yet many struggle with financial management. The research uses an associative method to understand the relationship between these variables and the financial behavior of MSMEs. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 150 MSME owners in the culinary sector in Sekadau, with additional secondary data obtained from official documents. The results show that financial literacy, financial inclusion, and income all have a positive and significant impact on the financial behavior of MSMEs. Among these variables, income has the largest impact, followed by financial inclusion and financial literacy. The F-test results indicate that, collectively, these three variables have a significant effect on financial behavior. The t-test results also show that financial literacy and financial inclusion have a positive effect on financial behavior individually, with income having the greatest impact. Additionally, the normality test results indicate that the data is normally distributed, the linearity test shows a linear relationship between the variables, and the multicollinearity test confirms that there is no high correlation between the independent variables. Overall, the study suggests that improving financial literacy, increasing access to financial services, and boosting income can help MSMEs improve their financial behavior. These findings provide valuable insights for policymakers and financial institutions in designing programs that can enhance financial management among MSMEs.
