Abstract

The field of science that is considered an important basis for everyone is mathematics, because of its widespread application to various disciplines of knowledge. However, many students experience obstacles in following math lessons. Therefore, this study aims to examine the effectiveness of math learning with the "gasing" method using flashcards and number blocks for students with dyscalculia. This article is written using quantitative methods with a single subject experimental design using data collection techniques through purposive sampling techniques. The data collected are scores in the form of percentages. Data validity was tested using pretest and posttest. Data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. This study involved five students who were not in the same class, but still underwent the same intervention. The results showed that learning "spinning tops" using flashcards and number blocks in Baseline Phase A1 with a standard deviation of 10.95 and a standard error of the mean of 4.90. Then in Phase A2 it was seen to increase with a standard deviation of 8.94 and a standard error mean of 4.00. This is also seen in the bar graph which illustrates the increase in the average score of the A1 baseline phase pre-test and the A2 phase post-test after the experiment. The average pre-test score of 32 indicates the initial condition of students before receiving treatment then the average post-test score increased to 66 after students underwent learning with the "spinning top" method using flashcards and number blocks. Thus learning "gasing" using flashcards and number blocks has a significant effect in improving the math skills of students with dyscalculia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of firm size, Return on Assets (ROA), and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) on bond ratings with earnings management as an intervening variable in financial companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange from 2022 to 2024. Bond ratings are crucial for assessing the risk of bond defaults, and understanding the factors that influence these ratings can help companies, investors, and rating agencies make better decisions. Firm size, ROA, and DER have been identified as key financial indicators that affect bond ratings, but the role of earnings management as an intervening factor in this relationship remains underexplored. This study uses a purposive sampling method, focusing on 43 financial companies with investment-grade bond ratings. The data analysis includes financial ratio analysis, path analysis, and several classical assumption tests to ensure the validity of the regression model. The results of this study show that firm size, ROA, and DER do not have a significant direct or indirect influence on bond ratings. The coefficient of determination (R²) indicates that only 5.9% of the variation in bond ratings can be explained by these variables. These findings suggest that factors other than financial ratios, such as macroeconomic conditions or industry stability, may play a more significant role in determining bond ratings. The study recommends further research to explore additional variables and alternative methods for better understanding bond rating dynamics.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of Work-Life Balance and Burnout on Job Satisfaction among Civil Servants (PNS) at the UPT Puskesmas Gang Sehat, Pontianak City. Using a quantitative approach and associative method, data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires to 38 civil servants at the health center, along with in-depth interviews with the Head of Administration. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that Work-Life Balance has a significant positive effect on Job Satisfaction. This indicates that the better the balance between work and personal life, the higher the level of job satisfaction among employees. Conversely, Burnout showed a non-significant negative effect on Job Satisfaction. The results of the simultaneous test (F-test) indicated that both variables, Work-Life Balance and Burnout, simultaneously have a significant effect on Job Satisfaction. These findings emphasize the importance of attention to work-life balance among employees, which has been shown to enhance job satisfaction. Meanwhile, Burnout, although it affects performance, does not significantly contribute to job satisfaction in the context of this study. This research provides insights for Puskesmas management to consider implementing policies that support work-life balance among employees as part of efforts to improve job satisfaction and productivity.

Abstract

Zam-Zam water has a special position in Islamic teachings and is mentioned in various hadiths of the Prophet as water that is full of blessings, a cure for diseases, and in accordance with the intentions of the drinker. This article aims to explore the meaning of Zam-Zam water in the hadith through a multidisciplinary approach, especially a scientific approach. Using a qualitative method based on literature studies, the author analyzes a number of authentic hadiths and scientific studies on the composition and characteristics of Zam-Zam water. The findings show that spiritually, this water has strong symbolism in the theological construction of Islam, while from a scientific perspective, the mineral content, pH balance, and hygienic properties of Zam-Zam water show relevance to its claimed health benefits. This study concludes that an integrative approach between revelation and science not only strengthens understanding of religious texts, but also opens up space for constructive dialogue between Islam and modern science.

Abstract

The 2024 legislative election in Jakarta is an important moment in the dynamics of Indonesian politics, especially for the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) which won a significant victory. This study aims to analyze the winning strategy of Abdul Aziz, the PKS legislative candidate in the 10th DKI Jakarta Electoral District (Dapil), as well as the factors that contributed to its success.. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study examines the effectiveness of political and marketing strategies applied, including community-based approaches, the use of social media, and political communication strategies. The results showed that the strategy carried out by Abdul Aziz focused on the utilization of a loyal mass base, campaigns based on social welfare issues, as well as direct involvement in social and religious activities. In addition, digital communication strategies through social media and the involvement of local leaders also play an important role in improving its electability. This research provides insight into the dynamics of political campaign strategies in the digital age as well as their implications for voter trends in metropolitan areas. The PKS as a moderate Islam-based party also has challenges in extending support beyond its loyal voters. Therefore, the campaign strategy applied is not only based on religious issues, but also emphasizes concrete programs that are relevant to urban problems such as education, health, and infrastructure, which of course is in line with the theory used in this study, namely the theory of political strategy by Peter Schroder, which specifically discusses 3 types of political strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of school image, facilities, and price on parents’ decision in choosing educational services at SMA Karya Sekadau. This research uses an associative quantitative method with a sample of 158 respondents determined using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews, while data analysis was carried out using instrument validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, as well as simultaneous F-test and partial t-test. The F-test results show that the variables of school image, facilities, and price simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on parents’ decisions. The t-test results also indicate that school image, facilities, and price each have a positive and significant partial effect on parents’ decisions. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.523 indicates that 52.3% of parents’ decisions are influenced by these three variables. The implication of this study is that SMA Karya Sekadau needs to continuously strengthen its school image, improve the quality and adequacy of its facilities, and maintain transparency and affordability of costs to enhance competitiveness and public trust. This study recommends that future research expand the object of study, add other relevant variables, and use a mixed-methods approach for more in-depth results.
