Abstract

This research examines how machine learning techniques, specifically Random Forest and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) models enhanced by technical analysis indicators, can effectively predict stock price, particularly downturn to manage risks in government stock investment. Given the high-risk, high-return profile of stocks and their limited use in government strategies where legal complications is intense, it is essential to promptly identify potential declines in stock prices to mitigate losses and prevent legal issues. This research uses all stock during 2000-2022 from the Indonesian capital market and focuses on integrating predictive models with trading strategies such as active trading guided by predictions, delayed trading decision to account for administrative processes, and drawdown-based strategies to mainly minimizing risks while keeping potential returns optimum. The univariate LSTM model with a 7-day lag (n_lag 7) exhibited the best overall performance, followed by the Random Forest model. Daily active trading strategies were most effective when using LSTM multivariate models, with a 5% drawdown limit proving optimal for managing risks while maximizing returns.

Abstract

North Sumatra has demonstrated a strong commitment to efforts aimed at improving the welfare of its region. Various strategic steps have been taken to achieve that goal, including in the economic, social, and environmental fields.Global development has been referring to the goals, more popularly known as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), since 2015. This research is a field study using a qualitative descriptive research method with the parameters of the maqashid syari'ah index. The application of strategies in improving welfare and sustainable development in the context of maqasid sharia requires attention to several components. The preservation of religion, the preservation of life, the preservation of intellect, the preservation of lineage, and the preservation of property are included in this list of basic needs. This is because there are still communities where the five aspects of maqashid sharia have not been fulfilled, such as the preservation of religion, life, and lineage. Therefore, the people in North Sumatra have not achieved prosperity according to maqashid sharia. Here are some examples of government programs related to maqashid sharia. like the independent mosque movement program (hifdz al-din), strives to create inclusive businesses to achieve social welfare (hifdz al-nafs), innovates the Mapro program, provides Direct Cash Assistance (BLT), basic food packages, the Family Hope Program, and health insurance (Hifdz An-Nafs), innovates to support waste processing businesses (Hifdz Al-Aql), has policies to ensure transparency in public budget management (Hifdz Al-Mal), and Family Planning (KB) programs, Sexual Education in Schools, Reproductive Health Services. (Hifdz An-Nasl). Keywords: Improvement of Welfare, Maqashid Sharia.

Abstract

General elections are a very important pillar of democracy in a government system based on the will of the people. Elections are the primary way in which citizens participate in the selection of their representatives and leaders, and therefore, electoral integrity is of paramount importance to ensure that citizens have an equal opportunity to express their political preferences. However, elections do not always run smoothly and without problems. One of the main challenges in general elections is election violations, which can include various forms, such as negative campaigning, vote manipulation, and non-compliance with election rules. The qualitative research method applied in this research, as explained by Bogdan and Taylor, involves descriptive data collection procedures in the form of written or spoken words from people and observed behavior. Data was obtained through observation and interviews, then processed into words that were easy to understand. This approach provides a deep understanding of the context and nuances contained in North Jakarta City Bawaslu's qualitative data and also presents program innovations, such as supervision classes, supervision patrols, door to door, and road shows, to support electoral education. Although innovative, ongoing evaluation is required to ensure their effectiveness, involving collaboration with relevant parties and adequate allocation of resources. The supervisory models applied include widespread, limited and issue-based. Even though various model programs have been designed, evaluations show that community involvement is still low. Therefore, efforts are needed to increase public awareness, their role as informants and reporters, as well as preventive measures against election violations.

The data collection method uses a survey method with the research instrument being a questionnaire. The data analysis method used in this research is the Structural Equation Model (SEM) – Partial Least Square (PLS) with the Smart-PLS analysis tool. The population used in this research was BPR in DKI Jakarta and the sample size was determined using a saturated sampling technique. The research results show that leadership, business environment and organizational work culture have a significant influence on corporate governance. Therefore, BPR must pay attention to variables that are indicators of good GCG practices to support the achievement of company performance targets. This research contributes to producing a model that is able to explain 81% of GCG implementation for banking in Indonesia, especially BPR.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how the welfare of oil palm farmers in Labuhan Batu Regency is affected by prices, productivity, and Islamic financial behavior. The research employs multiple linear analysis and a quantitative descriptive approach. A total of 1,167 farmers participated, with a sample size of 80, determined using probability sampling. Primary data were gathered through a Likert-scale survey, while secondary data were sourced from books, journals, and prior studies. The results indicate that the F-test significance value is 0.000 0.05, and the independent factors explain 65.7% of the variance in farmers' welfare. The findings suggest that favorable prices and strong productivity improve income and ensure ample harvests. Islamic financial behavior supports sound financial management, allowing farmers to meet social obligations such as zakat while enhancing financial planning skills. In conclusion, the combination of price, productivity, and Islamic financial behavior fosters a positive environment for improving the welfare of oil palm farmers in Labuhan Batu.
