Abstract

This research investigates the impact of the Eco Harmony Seminar: Exploring the Potential of Bioporeen, Biopot, and Growing Media on participants' knowledge of the Go Green movement and environmentally friendly practices. Utilizing a one-group pretest-posttest experimental design, the study involved 39 high school students from SMA Negeri 8 Kota Serang. The data analysis revealed a significant improvement in participants' understanding after the seminar, despite the data not meeting the normality assumption. Participants acknowledged the importance of using Go Green-based biopot and growing media, although implementation challenges such as the availability of supplementary materials were noted. In conclusion, the Eco Harmony Seminar not only enhanced participants' knowledge but also motivated them to support environmentally friendly practices. This study highlights the urgency of education and training in advancing the environmental movement and creating higher environmental awareness among the public.

Abstract

Current technological developments provide many changes, especially in the field of education. The development of technology requires humans to be able to adapt to life in this era. One of them is by utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) in chemistry learning to open the way to a new era in chemistry education. Literature review was carried out using the narrative literature review method to identify the role of AI in chemistry learning in improving 21st century skills. The application of AI in chemistry learning not only has a positive impact on 21st century skills, but also changes the way students interact with chemistry concepts and opens up new opportunities for students to understand chemistry concepts in more depth through enhanced learning media, interactive simulations, and predictions accurate. The application of AI has been widely applied in chemistry learning and has shown positive results in improving 21st century skills.

Abstract

The development of science and technology has a spirit that does not necessarily need to be translated, indicating that science can be related to academic studies associated with physics, chemistry, biology, as well as other natural sciences such as geology and astronomy. Science also means looking closely at social, economic, psychological, humanities and even educational phenomena. Lokal wisdom which has the value of indigenous science is a traditional custom passed down from generation to generation in Indonesia which needs to be supported by educational experts to be researched so that it is hoped that it will become scientific science. In Gorontalo there are several studies regarding indigenous science becoming scientific knowledge, such as discussions about panggoba related to astronomy and agrotechnology; payango (in the field of house building engineering/architecture), yinthu tuluhe plant for the health sector (medicine for skin diseases). Other research has been carried out on the benefits of tubile (tuba roots) for fish poison (piscisida), mongubingo which has religious, cultural and health value. However, it is realized that the design of Gorontalo lokal wisdom as study material in science learning is still very poorly studied. Referring to these phenomena and real facts, it is deemed necessary to carry out research using the literature study method (library) with the topic "Gorontalo Lokal Wisdom Design as Study Material in Science Learning."

Abstract

This research was conducted to identify the level of students' conceptual understanding in acid-base titration material for class XI IPA MAN I Gorontalo City. This research is descriptive research, the instrument used in this research is a two-tier multiple choice diagnostic test consisting of 10 item questions. This instrument has been tested for validity with validation results obtained at 100%. The research respondents were 118 students of class XI IPA at MAN I Gorontalo City. Data collection was obtained by means of observation, giving tests and documentation. The results showed that students' understanding of the concept of acid-base titration material in the understanding category was 80%, in the category of misconceptions was 13%, in the category of guessing was 2%, and in the category of not understanding the concept was 5%. So it can be concluded that students' understanding of acid-base titration material tends to understand the concept.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the classroom environment using the My Class Inventory-Short Form instrument on learning outcomes. The research method used is a quantitative method with survey techniques using the My Class Inventory-Short Form (MCI-SF) instrument which consists of 5 dimensions, namely satisfaction, friction, competitiveness, difficulty and cohesiveness with a total of 25 statements. Based on the research results, the highest average was in the satisfaction dimension at 4.09 and the lowest was in the friction dimension at 1,50. This shows that in the satisfaction dimension, the average student agrees with a pleasant classroom environment. Meanwhile, in the friction dimension, the average student stated that they strongly disagreed that pupils are always fighting with each other. Based on the research carried out, the value of tcount = 13,267, so the value of tcount > ttable. This means that there is an influence between the classroom environment on the learning outcomes of class XI students at SMAN 70 Jakarta with a percentage of the influence of the learning environment of 85,4% which is included in the strong category.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the need for a Chemistry Entrepreneurship Learning Module on the Topic of Tilapia Fish Productivity for the Millennial Generation. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, with three stages of triangulation, there are questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The data questionnaire was taken from student respondents in the 5th semester of the 2023/2024 academic year of the Sriwijaya University Chemistry Education Study Program. Interview data was taken from (1) students, (2) lecturers teaching entrepreneurship courses, and (3) Coordinator of the Chemistry Education Study Program. Data documentation was retrieved in the archives of data documentation was carried out in the archives at the Sriwijaya University Chemistry Education Study Program and lecturers who taught entrepreneurship courses. The researchresult show that there is a great need for chemistry learning modules with a STEM approach for entrepreneurship courses on the topic of Tilapia Fish Productivity for the Millennial Generation.

Abstract

Socio Scientific Issues (SSI) is an approach that can be used to stimulate students' critical thinking in science learning, especially chemistry learning. This approach can be integrated in the students' worksheet to help students to think critically and achieve learning objectives. The purpose of this study was to determine the responses of chemistry teachers and students of twelve grade secondary school based on the needs analysis of the development of Socio Scientific Issues on Acid-Base topic. The research method used was a survey method using a questionnaire research instrument. This research instrument is filled in through a google form containing several questions or written statements that must be answered by the respondent. The subject of the research were chemistry teachers and XII grade high school students. The results showed that most teachers and students were not familiar with the socio-scientific issue approach in chemistry learning. However, most teachers and students agree to the development of students' worksheet on Acid-Base topic that supports to stimulate critical thinking skills and meaningful chemistry learning.

Abstract

Students who have a strong understanding of concepts, good use of terminology, and the ability to invent environmentally friendly products, they can become effective drivers of change. This will enable them to support Green Chemistry innovations and practices in the future. provides practical experience to students, allows them to use the ideas they learn in real-life situations, and encourages them to show greater concern for environmental sustainability. This survey study took a sample of 28 individuals. Students' understanding of the concept of Green Chemistry is still in the "fairly good" category, with an average of 1.83. However, this is a good result, and their understanding can still be improved with more in-depth learning methods and greater emphasis on this concept in the curriculum. A good understanding of Green Chemistry terminology was positive, with an average of 2.58. This shows that students can communicate well using relevant words in the field of green chemistry; this is crucial for participating in discussions and developing sustainable projects. In addition, students' ability to find environmentally friendly items is quite good, with a mean of 2.36. Improving this ability continuously can help them support more sustainable products and practices in their daily lives.
