Abstract

Genders in Speed Reading; A Comparative Study at the Forth Semester Students in Faculty of Culture, Management, and Business, Language Education, This study aimed to compare male and female students’ ability in speed reading. The population of this study were the forth semester students at Faculty of Culture, Management, and Business, Language Education Mandalika University of Education in academic year 2020/2021. There were 60 students as the sample of the study in which divided into class IVA for male consisted of 30 students and class IVB for female consisted of 30 students. Data was collected by using timed reading. The data were analyzed and interpreted statistically by using a comparative method. They study found that both students ability in speed reading male and female, was bad. They are very slow readers. The data showed 11 out of 30 male students (37%) are categorized to be low readers and-19 out of 30 male students (63%) was categorized as very slow readers. Similarly 8 out of 30 female students (27%) were categorized as low readers and 22 out of 30 female students (73%) are categorized as very slow readers. There were no significant differences between genders in speed reading. The study shows the t-test value 0.298 was lower than t-table values of 2.000 at confidence level 95% and 2.660 at confidence level 99%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan deskripsi sejauh mana  Implementasi  Program PAUD Holistik Integratif  di PAUD LSM Ampenan Kota Mataram yang mencakup perencanaan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan  tekhnik  wawancara, observasi dan dokumnetasi, subjek penelitian berjumlah 9 orang yang terdiri dari 1 orang kepala PAUD, 2 orang guru PAUD, 2 orang narasumber dari tenaga kesehatan dan tokoh masyarakat setempat dan 4 orang tua murid, dengan objek penelitian di PAUD LSM Ampenan Kota Mataram. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kepala lembaga PAUD LSM telah membuat program perencanaan sesuai dengan petunjuk teknis dan juknis  penyelenggaraan program PAUD Holistik Integratif, berdasarkan hasil observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi bahwa Kepala PAUD LSM telah membuat perencanaan yang di buktikan dengan adanya Dokumen program perencanaan PAUD holistic integrative yang memuat tujuan, proses, dan prinsip perencanaan yang di susun oleh Kepala lembaga dan guru PAUD LSM Ampenan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ability of mathematical literacy in solving mathematical problems in class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Woha. This research is a qualitative research using a descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out on class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Woha in the 2020/2021 academic year and the selection of subjects was based on the level of students' mathematical abilities. The research instrument used was a matter of students' mathematical literacy skills in solving mathematical problems. Data collection techniques were carried out by tests and interviews. The results obtained from students with high categories are able to carry out several stages of the student literacy process in solving mathematical problems well in the section formulating, applying concepts, facts, procedures, and reasoning but in the problem section, application, problem finding and drawing conclusions students have not maximum work and explain when to interview

Abstract

This research was aimed at determining the influence of work stress on the employees’ performance of PT. Surya Madistrindo Subsidiary, Marketing Unit, Palembang Area Operation.This research was conducted to 54 employees of the company. It treated work stress as the independent variable and the employees’ performance as the dependent variable. This is a quantitative research and it used a simple regression technique for analyzing the data. The data were collected through questionnaires.  The research results show that the regression computation pointed to this equation: Y =  26.083 + 0,400X. The X coefficient was 0,400 indicated that there occurred change in the work variable for one point, therefore, their performance increased as much 0,400.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki dua tujuan, yaitu Mendeskripsikan jenis penggunaan bentuk gaya bahasa pertentangan dan gaya bahasa pertatutan pada grup status super lucu dimedia sosial facebook dan mengidentifikasi modus penggunaan gaya bahasa humor yang terkandung pada grup status super lucu dimedia sosial facebook.Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu metode kualitatif deskriptif. Adapun objek dalam penelitian ini adalah gaya bahasa humor pada grup status super lucu dimedia sosial facebook. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah gaya bahasa humor pada grup status super lucu dimedia sosial facebook. bentuk penggunaan gaya bahasa dalam humor pada grup status super lucu di media sosial facebook. Hasil penelitian ini yang ditemukan dalam grup status super lucu di media sosial facebook sebanyak 32 data dari 7 jumlah penggunaan gaya bahasa. Data-data tersebut berupa kalimat yang mengandung gaya bahasa yang terdiri 2 jenis gaya bahasa, yaitu gaya bahasa yang mendominasi grup status super lucu tersebut. Gaya bahasa pertentangan yaitu gaya bahasa ironi yang terdapat 3 data, gaya bahasa sinisme terdapat 2 data, gaya bahasa sarkasme terdapat 19 data, gaya bahasa satire terdapat 3 data, gaya bahasa paranomasia terdapat 2 data, gaya bahasa epitet  terdapat 1 data, dan gaya bahasa pertautan yaitu gaya bahasa eufemisme terdapat 2 data.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative descriptive study that aims to determine the effect of using gadgets on the mindset of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Ulaweng, Ulaweng District, Bone Regency. The population in this study were all class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Ulaweng, Ulaweng District, Bone Regency and the sample was all students of class VIIIA SMP Negeri 2 Ulaweng, Ulaweng District, Bone Regency with a total of 30 students consisting of 17 male students and 13 female students. Data collection techniques were carried out using three methods, namely, questionnaires (questionnaires), documentation and interviews. Based on the data analysis, it was obtained an overview of the effect of using gadgets on students' mindsets, the percentage of several items including questionnaire item number 2 from 30 students, 8 people who answered "always" with a percentage of 26.67% and 12 students who said "sometimes". sometimes" with a percentage of 40.00%, questionnaire item number 3 of 30 students 24 of them answered "never" with a percentage of 80.00%, questionnaire item number 5 of 30 students 3 people answered "Yes" with a percentage of 10, 00%, 9 people answered "sometimes" with a percentage of 30.00%, and 15 students answered "never" with a percentage of 50.00%, questionnaire item number 8 of 30 students 19 people answered "no" with a percentage of 63 ,34 % of the questionnaire item number 10 of 30 students 19 people answered "Yes" with a percentage of 63.34% and 7 people who answered the category "sometimes" with a percentage of 23.33%. Thus it can be concluded that, the effect of using gadgets on students' mindsets can be said that the average of student answers per questionnaire item given explains that students tend to always use gadgets and consider gadgets themselves as a necessity, but on the other hand students also consider that the use of gadgets is a necessity. These gadgets can be one of the motivations for student learning and can divide the time between the use of gadgets.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian dan Pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk media pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran pendidikan jasmani olahraga dan kesehatan kelas III Sekolah Dasar Insan Mulya Driyorejo Kabupaten Gresik. Masalah dalam penelitian ini dirumuskan sebagai berikut: (1) Bagaimana proses pengembangan mobile multimedia learning mata pelajaran pendidikan jasmani olahraga dan kesehatan materi kombinasi berjalan berlari dan meloncat untuk siswa kelas III di di Sekolah Dasar Insan Mulya Driyorejo Kabupaten Gresik. (2) Apakah media mobile multimedia learning mata pelajaran pendidikan jasmani olahraga dan kesehatan materi kombinasi berjalan berlari dan meloncat layak digunakan untuk siswa kelas III di Sekolah Dasar Insan Mulya Driyorejo. Penelitian dan Pengembangan ini mengacu pada langkah-langkah model pengengembangan Lee & Owens, yang meliputi: (1) Assessment/analysis (penilaian/analisis), (2) Design (desain), (3) Development (Pengembangan Produk), (4) Implementation (implementasi), (5) Evluation (evaluasi). Sampel penelitian dan pengembangan ini terdiri dari dua ahli materi dan dua ahli media. Analisis pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini diambil melalui wawancara, observasi, dan kuesioner. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data diperoleh hasil uji validitas dari ahli materi sebesar 93,1% dan hasil validitas ahli media dari segi edukatif sebesar 100%, dari segi kualitas teknis sebesar 95,31% dan uji validitas ahli media secara keseluruhan sebesar 96,25%, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa multimedia pembelajaran sangat layak untuk digunakan.

Abstract

Penertiban Pedagang Kaki Lima yang ada di Kota Padang merupakan permasalahan yang tak kunjung terselesaikan. Dalam penerapannya dilapangan kebijakan serta strategi penertiban Pedagang Kaki Lima masih banyak permasalahan dan kendala seperti ketidak patuhan PKL terhadap aturan yang ada pada masa Pandemi Covid-19 pada saat sekarang ini dan pelaksanaannya yang masih kurang efektif membuat hasil dari kebijakan serta strategi itu sendiri tidak sesuai dengan apa yang diharapkan dan tidak berdampak positif bagi masyarakat. Teori yang peneliti gunakan yaitu menurut Dwiyanto pada aspek perumusan masalah, formulasi kebijakan, rekomendasi kebijakan, implementasi kebijakan, dan evaluasi kebijakan. Metode yang peneliti gunakan dalam sebuah penelitian ini yaitu penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, adapan instrumen dan teknik pengumpulan yang peneliti gunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan pengumpulan data melalui dokumen dan teknik analisa data dalam penelitian ini yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi dan analisis dilapangan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa ke-6 strategi dan kebijakan di atas telah dilakukan oleh Satpol PP sudah mulai cukup baik, walaupun ada beberapa kebijakan dari Satpol PP yang di langgar oleh Pedagang Kaki Lima di Pasar Raya Kota Padang. Sikap dari anggota Satpol PP sudah mulai membaik dari yang sebelumnya terbukti dengan hasil observasi yang penulis lakukan di lapangan, walaupun ada beberapa orang saja yang masih arogan.

Abstract

Learning style is one of the important elements in the learning process of students. Information about student learning styles will help teachers design appropriate learning so that students can more easily absorb, organize, and process information during the learning process. Learning in accordance with the character of students in the class will create joyful learning and influences student learning outcomes and abilities, including scientific literacy. This study aims to investigate the relationship between learning styles with student learning outcomes and scientific literacy. This research is descriptive-experimental research. The population of this study was MTs students in Mataram and the subjects of this study were 55 students. In order to determine the tendency of student learning styles, the VARK learning style questionnaire (Visual, Auditory, Read/Write, and Kinesthetic) was developed. In order to assess the scientific literacy that consisted of scientific literacy multiple-choice test and to assess the learning outcome, the final score was employed. Analysis of the relationship between learning styles and the scientific literacy using bivariate correlation, while the effect analysis of learning styles on learning outcomes and scientific literacy using MANOVA and effect analysis of students' scientific literacy on learning outcomes using ANACOVA. The results of the study indicated that the trend of auditory and kinesthetic learning styles correlated significantly with students' scientific literacy (p <0.05), whereas visual and reading/writing learning styles did not significantly correlate (p> 0.05). The type of learning styles does not have a different effect on student learning outcomes and scientific literacy, but scientific literacy has a significant influence on learning outcomes (p <0.05).
