Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has fundamentally transformed the learning ecology of primary school aged children, thereby generating new challenges in the development of character education. This study aims to analyze how the philosophy of Islamic education, through the philosophical frameworks of ontology, epistemology, and axiology, can serve as both a conceptual and operational foundation for character education development in the digital era within primary education in Pangandaran Regency. The research employs a qualitative approach with an interpretive critical paradigm, utilizing philosophical inquiry alongside contextual empirical analysis that includes social data, educational policy documents, and relevant findings from previous studies. The findings indicate that digital character education should not be understood merely as the addition of media ethics content, but rather as an inherent component of the fundamental aims of Islamic education in cultivating morally grounded and dignified human beings. Ontologically, learners are positioned as moral subjects who must be guided to responsibly manage digital freedom. Epistemologically, character formation requires authentic experiences, habituation, and reflective processes within real digital contexts. Axiologically, the use of technology must be oriented toward public benefit (maṣlaḥah), the protection of human dignity, and the strengthening of learners’ agency. These findings suggest the necessity of developing a model of character education based on digital ta’dīb that integrates Islamic values, digital literacy, school culture, teachers’ exemplarity, and collaboration among families and communities. This model is considered relevant for addressing the challenges of character education in the digital era in a contextual and sustainable manner

Abstract

The proposed plan to impose excise taxes on disposable diapers and wet wipes triggered strong public reactions after several media outlets, particularly Tempo, framed the issue as a potential financial burden on households and a strategy to boost state revenue. This framing heightened public sensitivity, especially among mothers and lower-income families. This study analyzes the Ministry of Finance’s response strategy through media framing analysis and crisis communication using secondary data from news reports and official statements. The findings show that the Ministry adopted diminish and instructing information strategies, emphasizing that the excise plan remains in an early policy review stage and will not be implemented soon. The prompt response helped contain the issue and redirect the public narrative toward the ongoing policy assessment.

Abstract

The development of students’ potential is not limited to academic aspects but also includes non-academic aspects that require systematic and sustainable student management. SD Muhammadiyah, as an educational institution that emphasizes holistic education, needs to implement effective student management to optimize students’ talents and interests. This study aims to analyse the implementation of student management in developing students’ potential at SD Muhammadiyah, covering the stages of planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, vice principal for student affairs, classroom teachers, and extracurricular instructors. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that student management is implemented in an integrated manner through four main functions. The planning stage is based on the school’s vision and mission, supported by budgeting through the School Revenue and Expenditure Budget (RAPBS) and the implementation of initial diagnostic assessments. The organizing stage includes grouping students into categories of academically gifted, talent-gifted, and interest-based students, as well as providing adequate facilities and infrastructure. In the actuating stage, students’ potential is developed through differentiated instruction, scheduled and intensive coaching, the formation of competition teams, and active collaboration with parents. The controlling stage is carried out through regular evaluation meetings, monitoring of students’ achievements, and follow-up actions to improve programs. Overall, the implementation of systematic and sustainable student management has proven effective in supporting the optimal development of students’ potential.

Abstract

Decreased student focus during the final period of class is a pedagogical challenge influenced by various factors, such as physical fatigue and mental saturation. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the consumption of Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) and student focus at SMAN 4 Kota Bima, and to identify factors that influence the effectiveness of this nutritional support. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews with educators and field observations. The results showed that the MBG program made a positive contribution to maintaining energy stability and cognitive responsiveness of students compared to students who did not consume it. Students who received MBG appeared calmer, more ready to learn, and able to maintain concentration longer during critical school hours. However, the effectiveness of MBG is not fully optimal because it is influenced by multidimensional variables such as nutritional menu variations, students' rest patterns at home, and the teaching methods used by teachers. The study concluded that although MBG provides a strong physical foundation, significantly improving learning focus requires a synergy between varied nutrition, a healthy lifestyle, and interactive pedagogical innovations in the classroom.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of FOMO and program benefits on students' motivation to participate in International Community Service Programs with financial literacy as a moderating variable. The research uses a quantitative approach with Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The research results show that financial literacy is the main factor influencing students' motivation to participate in the International Community Service Program. The FOMO variable does not have a significant effect on motivation, although financial literacy can change its influence in a positive direction. Initially, the program benefits had an impact on motivation, but it became insignificant when financial literacy was included in the model. The results of the moderation analysis show that financial literacy does not act as a moderating variable, but rather as a variable that directly influences students' motivation. These findings indicate that students' decisions to participate in the International Community Service Program are more influenced by considerations of their financial capabilities. Therefore, universities need to provide financial support such as scholarships, cost subsidies, and collaboration with foreign partners to increase student participation.

Abstract

This study aims to explore early childhood teachers’ understanding of the importance of physical activity in supporting young children’s concentration and learning readiness. Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach, the research was conducted from July to September in five kindergartens in Bekasi City, Indonesia. Data were collected through structured interviews with ten kindergarten teachers and direct classroom observations of physical activity practices. The collected data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns of meaning related to teachers’ understanding, perceptions, and instructional practices. The findings reveal that teachers generally perceive physical activity primarily as a means to support children’s physical health, while its pedagogical role in enhancing concentration and self-regulation is not yet fully understood. Although teachers observed that children tended to be calmer and more focused after engaging in physical activity, such perceptions were not consistently translated into planned and integrated classroom practices. The study also identified a gap between teachers’ conceptual understanding and the actual implementation of regular physical activity, influenced by academic pressures, limited time, and the absence of clear institutional policies. These findings are consistent with previous international studies while highlighting contextual challenges within Indonesian early childhood education. Furthermore, the results demonstrate strong relevance to current national education policies in 2025, particularly the 7 Habits of Great Indonesian Children program, which emphasizes healthy and active lifestyles as a foundation for character development and learning readiness. The study concludes that strengthening teachers’ pedagogical understanding and institutional support is essential for integrating meaningful physical activity into early childhood education practices.

Abstract

Curved-sided geometric shapes have a high level of abstraction, often leading to misconceptions and difficulties in visualizing threedimensional shapes. The Jigsaw cooperative model can enhance interaction and conceptual elaboration through the division of learning roles among students, while the guided discovery method helps students understand concepts and the origins of formulas more deeply. The use of teaching aids also provides concrete experiences that can strengthen visualization and reduce misunderstandings. The synergy of these three approaches has the potential to create more effective, active, and meaningful learning, while meeting the demands of current learning and curriculum that emphasize collaboration, exploration, and conceptual understanding. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach because the purpose of the study was to describe the application of the jigsaw cooperative learning model with the guided discovery method assisted by teaching aids on the surface area of curved-sided geometric shapes. The research subjects were grade IX students. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation. Based on the results of observations of student attitude assessments, the percentage of cooperative attitudes was obtained at85,29%, a responsible attitude of83,82%, a self-confident attitude of75%, and a meticulous attitude of75%. . Based on student learning outcomes, the average student score is69,41, and 71% of students met the Minimum Competency Criteria (KKM). These findings confirm that this learning strategy is effective in creating an active and meaningful learning environment
