Abstract

This study stems from the issue of the weakening use of mother tongue in Christian Religious Education, particularly amid the dominance of the national language and the tide of modernisation that has the potential to erode the depth of the congregation's faith. This study aims to analyse the role of mother tongue as a medium for the growth of faith among the congregation of GIDI Gudang Garam in Kerom Regency. The research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, based on a postpositivist paradigm. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, then analysed using an interactive model. The findings show that the mother tongue functions strategically as a pedagogical, relational, and spiritual tool in faith education. The use of mother tongue allows God's word to be understood in a more personal, contextual, and existential manner, as well as strengthening the integration of Christian faith with local cultural identity. In addition, mother tongue encourages active participation of the congregation and deepens personal relationship with God, especially in worship, prayer, and children's faith education. This study concludes that mother tongue is an important foundation for deep-rooted, inclusive, and sustainable faith growth in the context of Christian Religious Education.

Abstract

Utilization of Artificial Intelligence(AI) in learning demands teacher creativity so that learning media are more effective and appropriate to the characteristics of elementary school students. This study aims to analyze strategies for realizing teacher creativity in utilizing AI-based learning media in elementary schools. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study type conducted in one of the Muhammadiyah elementary schools. The research subjects consisted of four teachers who actively utilize AI in learning. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results show that teacher creativity is manifested through pedagogical understanding of AI as a learning tool, planning contextual AI use, implementing AI-based active learning, and continuous evaluation of student responses and engagement. The use of AI-based learning media has a positive impact on increasing student learning motivation, learning variation, and teacher work efficiency, although obstacles are still encountered, such as limited devices, internet networks, and teacher competencies. Therefore, school managerial support is needed through continuous training and the provision of supporting infrastructure so that the use of AI in learning can run optimally.

Abstract

Outcome-Based Education (OBE) emphasizes measurable competency attainment as the primary objective of higher education. In medical professional education, effective OBE implementation requires alignment between policy standards, student enrollment, and clinical training capacity. However, mismatches between these elements may generate structural constraints that affect the effectiveness of policy implementation. This study investigates how the structural imbalance between clerkship student numbers and hospital training capacity constrains the implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE). A qualitative case study was conducted at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Hang Tuah. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and institutional documentation, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña (2014). The analytical framework draws on the policy implementation model developed by Van Meter and Van Horn (1975). The findings indicate a significant imbalance between 490 clerkship students and the ideal capacity of the main teaching hospital, RSPAL dr. Ramelan (approximately 300 students). This disparity contributes to an extended average completion duration of 104 weeks (range 94–107 weeks), exceeding the normative standard of approximately 80 weeks. Although implementers demonstrate strong professional commitment, resource limitations emerge as the dominant determinant influencing policy performance. The study concludes that the effectiveness of OBE implementation in medical professional education is structurally dependent on the alignment between student intake and institutional clinical training capacity, rather than solely on the disposition of policy implementers.

Abstract

The decline in discipline, honesty, and responsibility among elementary school students demonstrates the need for a more focused approach to character education. This study examines the practice of character education management as an effort to address students' moral problems through the POAC management function approach. The study was conducted using a qualitative method using a case study design at Muhammadiyah Elementary School in the Colombo Complex. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and document reviews, then analyzed interactively using triangulation to validate the data. The research findings indicate that character strengthening is implemented through planning based on students' moral needs, organizing the roles of all school members, implementing value inculcation in learning activities and school life, and ongoing supervision through monitoring and follow-up of student behavior. The implementation of these management functions creates a more systematic and sustainable character education pattern, thus contributing positively to reducing students' moral problems in elementary schools.

Abstract

Father involvement in early childhood care plays a crucial role in supporting children's socio-emotional development, health, and well-being. However, father participation in parenting education activities is still relatively limited, partly due to the lack of practical, contextual, and character-appropriate learning media. This study aims to develop and test the feasibility of the Gaple Card educational game "Smart Fathers Raise Children" as a means of family parenting education based on local culture. The study used a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The media was developed by modifying the traditional Gaple game and incorporating parenting messages sourced from the BKB Emas Module of the National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN). The trial was conducted with groups of fathers in Depok City and North Central Timor Regency (TTU) with facilitator assistance. The evaluation results showed that the media achieved a feasibility level of 96.61%, categorized as very feasible, and reviewed in terms of appearance, message content, ease of use, and usefulness. These findings indicate that the Gaple Card “Smart Fathers Raising Children” is effective as an interactive, non-patronizing, and relevant parenting education media for fathers, and has the potential to be used in the BKB Emas program, PAUD units, integrated health posts (posyandu), and various community-based parenting activities involving fathers.
