Abstract

Security and safety on campus are significant aspects of creating a conducive environment for the learning process. Pakupatan Untirta Campus, as a place inhabited by students, lecturers, and staff, has potential risks that can threaten safety. Therefore, socialization regarding safety induction is needed to equip the academic community with knowledge regarding preventive measures, evacuation procedures, use of safety equipment, and emergency steps that must be taken in various risky situations. This study aims to provide comprehensive knowledge to the academic community regarding safety and to create a safe campus. The methods used in this study include four steps: identifying safety risks, determining gathering points, creating evacuation routes, and creating safety induction videos as a means of socialization. The results showed that of the 11 buildings on the Pakupatan Campus, only six were equipped with light fire extinguishers (APAR). The designated gathering point is on the sports field, an area of 1,215 m². The layout for the evacuation route has also been clearly described. In addition, a safety induction video was crafted to support the socialization of safety on campus. In conclusion, this community service program was successfully implemented and presents a significant contribution to increasing understanding and awareness of safety on the Pakupatan Untirta Campus.

Abstract

Regulations and laws in Indonesia strongly support learning using teaching aids. Teaching media or aids are essential in the process of knowledge transfer for students. Students will find it easier to understand the lesson material if assisted by teaching aids, even if they are in a simple form. Teachers can introduce teaching aids made from recycled waste materials. Therefore, the aim of this community service activity is to introduce the development of teaching materials made from waste materials. A community service activity utilizing waste materials (cardboard, sticks, etc.) as classroom learning media will be conducted at SDIT Nurul Fikri, Bengkulu City. The target audience for this community service activity is teachers and some students. The method used consists of theory and practice. The service team will train teachers and students to create science teaching aids, particularly on the themes of pressure and energy. As a result of this activity, several examples of science teaching aids made from waste materials were produced. These teaching aids will certainly help enhance students' understanding and create their own appeal toward science subjects.

Abstract

Infant massage training is a community-based intervention that aims to improve infant health through empowering village cadres. Infant massage has been shown to have many benefits, such as improving infant sleep quality, accelerating weight gain, reducing stress, and strengthening emotional bonds between infants and parents. However, community understanding of correct infant massage techniques is still limited, especially in rural areas. Village cadres as public health agents have an important role in disseminating this information and skills to mothers in their communities. Therefore, infant massage training for Kadujaya village cadres is a strategic step to improve their competence in performing and teaching infant massage with safe and effective methods. This study used a participatory-based training method that included theory and practice sessions. The theory session covered the benefits of infant massage, basic massage techniques, and safety and contraindication aspects, while the practice session was conducted with direct demonstrations by experienced instructors, followed by independent practice by participants with instructor guidance. The results showed a significant increase in the knowledge and skills of cadres after training, with knowledge scores increasing from an average of 60% before training to 90% after training. In addition, observations showed that 85% of participants were able to perform infant massage with the correct technique after attending the training. With this training, village cadres are expected to be able to implement and disseminate the benefits of infant massage to the community, so that they can contribute to improving infant health as a whole. In the future, periodic monitoring and evaluation are needed to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of this training program.

Abstract

The Pasar Tumpah Pringgodani Tourism Village, located in the Gunung Binjai area, Teritip Village, East Balikpapan, has become one of the unique tourist destinations that attract public attention.  This market offers a variety of local products, especially traditional foods, that tantalize visitors' appetites.  Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are a common term in the economic landscape that refers to productive economic ventures owned by individuals or business entities in accordance with the criteria set by Law No. 20 of 2008.  The presence of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia is indeed very significant.  Financial statements are information that contains the financial records of a company.  This report can serve as valid evidence to monitor the company's financial condition.  SAK EMKM stands for Standar Akuntansi Keuangan Entitas Mikro Kecil Menengah Makro, which is specifically designed as a benchmark for financial accounting standards for MSMEs.  This community service activity is conducted under the title "Socialization of Financial Statement Preparation Based on SAK EMKM in Pringgondani Tourism Village, Balikpapan."  This community service activity is expected to help MSMEs in organizing their financial administration in a more structured manner, so that MSMEs can accurately understand their financial condition.  The availability of periodic financial reports for MSMEs will facilitate their access to funding from banks, which will ultimately encourage the development of MSMEs.
