Abstract

Gizigo actively provides nutrition education on various scientific articles, webinars and posters through social media such as Instagram. Website-based education has been widely applied in Indonesia to spread nutrition information. The purpose of this community service program is to provide training and assistance for Gizigo in order to improve the quality of education so that they can develop more productive, innovative and adaptive education methods. The core activity is to increase the knowledge and skills to support improving the quality and productivity of partners by giving the training about Nutritional Education Content and Financial And Tax Management for Startup. The topic and case study provided were quite interesting and applicable in the education field. The result of of the activity are health education content material and pre-post test score. It is important to begin to capture and report on the cost and cost effectiveness on internet based health education

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic left many casualties. The virus attacks the human immune system, which has an impact on physical health, such as: (a) pneumonia, (b) respiratory failure, and (c) death. Hands are one of the parts of the human body that are susceptible to viruses and are the easiest medium for spreading them. Therefore, as a preventive measure to prevent the spread of the virus, hands must always be clean and sterile, which is done by using a hand sanitizer, so that the cleaning process is more effective and efficient. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide awareness to the community to prevent the spread of the virus through the habit of hand sterilization. The target of the service is the residents of the village of Kepuh with the stages of activity, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Preparations were carried out by conducting a preliminary survey to see conditions in the field and obtaining permits for routine mosque activities. Implementation is carried out by cleaning, spraying, and washing mukena. Evaluation of activities is carried out for each stage by collecting and concluding data from each stage of activity. The results of the activity are the washing of mukena, and the cleanliness of the mosque, as well as disinfecting the entire inside and outside of the mosque. The organizers of the activity are lecturers and students and are assisted by the mosque's cleaning staff.

Abstract

Behind the development of the city of Tasikmalaya, there are still several coastal areas of the city that require special attention. This inequality is often not realized so there is a continuous gap. Therefore, the purpose of holding the work program for the distribution of 1,800 iftar packages is to raise the profile of areas that can be categorized as leading, remote, and underdeveloped areas or what we call 3T areas, especially those in the city of Tasikmalaya. Apart from that, the purpose of holding this community service program is to be a solution to the problems of people living in the coastal areas of Tasikmalaya city who are less able to meet their food needs when breaking their fast. The scope of targets in this work program is children with disabilities, accident victims, orphans, the elderly, and people who have trauma. In carrying out this community service program, the method used is by using a participatory approach, meaning that the implementation of the work program this time involves directly with certain stakeholders, both partners, and donors in the direct distribution of the Iftar package to the seventeen predetermined target areas. The results achieved from this community service program are that the people who are the targets feel very helpful in meeting their food needs when breaking their fast, as well as for the social community it is useful in recording community records to follow up or create other work programs that target people with disabilities, accident victims, orphans, elderly, and people who have trauma. This can help those who need special assistance and attention from experts.

Abstract

The phenomenon of rampant acts of child prostitution causes children to lose their rights in relation to their protection, prostitution that makes children as victims is certainly an act that violates the law and decency, when children have to get education and study but instead get bad treatment and consequently hindered to live his life. In its development, prostitution which was originally a conventional crime became an unconventional crime where children can be victims or traded online through Facebook and Instagram in carrying out transactions or agreements through pimps or brokers. The impact of prostitution on children is that the child will be depressed, depressed and have a lot of daydreaming and not concentrating on learning while related to health can damage the reproduction of girls and cause infectious diseases such as AIDS/HIV. In addition, the factor of the occurrence of prostitution is due to economic factors where it is difficult to meet the necessities of life so that it justifies all means, and prevention can be done by increasing the family's understanding of the importance of child protection through an understanding of human rights, developing knowledge about the impact of prostitution on children and being consistent. to protect and supervise and guide children so as not to fall into the trap and also the need for the role and concern of the community to actively participate and be consistent and care about the government's efforts to provide guidance and supervision so that the practice of prostitution by minors does not occur again

Abstract

Maternal and Child Health (MCH) is one of Indonesia’s main priorities for health development. Toddlers are one of the populations most at risk of various health problems. Monitoring growth and development and prevention of disease in toddlers is essential to improve the health of toddlers. Using MCH Handbook is one of the strategies for community empowerment, especially for families, to maintain and obtain quality health services. Health services in Indonesia are currently still carried out by a single profession, quality health services can be achieved through collaborative practice. A program for developing an attitude of interprofessional collaboration in the practice of health services is needed. The provision on collaboration can apply from the educational stage through Interprofessional Education (IPE). This community service aims to determine the improvement of mothers' attitudes about the health of children under five after the implementation of IPE at the Integrated Healthcare Center Leuwigajah public health center area (RW 04, 11,13 and 15). This community service was carried out for 4 weeks involving as many as 50 mothers with toddlers, each class consisted of 10 mothers accompanied by facilitators, cadres, midwifery students, and nursing. In the first week before the class started, questionnaires were distributed to the mothers, and in the last week (4th) a questionnaire containing the mothers’ attitudes distributed again. The distribution of counseling materials every week is adjusted to the competence of each accompanied profession by a facilitator. The results of this community service found that before being given counseling materials to the class of mothers under five, most of the mother's knowledge was in the category sufficient (74%), and after being given counseling materials, mother's knowledge increased to a good category (70%). This community service concludes that applying IPE to the class of mothers of children under five can change the attitude of mothers about the health of children under five.

Abstract

Dental health problems can have a negative impact and affect the quality of life for children, dental health problems such as cavities and dental caries will cause pain and discomfort. This will also interfere with children's activities at school, where children will experience a decrease in learning abilities, children with dental pain will not do their homework, and it is difficult to answer questions as well as children who are not bothered by dental health problems. Dental and Oral Health, Mouth is formed by 2 jaws, namely the upper and lower jaws. In this jaw there are teeth and gums. The teeth and mouth themselves function to chew, speak, and give a harmonious shape to the face. The purpose of education is to provide and improve students' understanding of the importance of preventing dental health problems and to identify the importance of early detection to avoid dental disease. The method used is the lecture method, question and answer, discussion and demonstration. The results of the health counseling activities were approximately 151 students. The counseling participants looked enthusiastic when the material was given. Participants participated in the counseling happily because the counseling was carried out in a fun way. The counseling activity was conducive because the participants paid attention to the material presented well. This is evidenced by the number of participants who are interested in answering questions during the question and answer session. Participants participated in the counseling happily because the counseling was carried out with a pleasant face-to-face method. The counseling activity was conducive because the participants paid attention to the material presented well about personal hygiene and dental and oral hygiene.

Abstract

Balanced nutrition in early childhood is very important in achieving optimal growth and development, because in this period children begin to learn what, when and how to eat either through direct experience or seeing other people which will have an impact on their developmental health.  Increased in health problems on children mainly caused by various factors including parent economic status, parenting patterns, and the level of knowledge and awareness of healthy and nutritious food on children. This will potentially lead to new health problems and will have an impact on children’s growth and development which will affect their productivity in the future. The purpose of this community service is to carry out mentoring for early childhood nutrition education for parents and teachers at PAUD Samratulangi in Manado City. The targets are parents and teachers at PAUD Samratulangi in Manado City. The activity was held on June 11th, 2022 with several stages including preparation stage, implementation stage, and evaluation stage. The preparation stage is carried out by conducting survey location and obtaining permits at the activity site. Implementation is carried out by providing balanced nutrition assistance to parents and teachers. Evaluation is carried out by collecting data from the impelentation activities, in this case by providing a knowledge questionnaire about balanced nutrition for early childhood. The result of this activity is the impelentation of balanced nutrition assistance to parents and teachers. The implementers of this community service activities are lecturers and undergraduate students form the Nutrition Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Muhammadiyah Manado

Abstract

Essential oil is a type of NTFP with a high economic value produced by plant parts such as leaves, fruit, seeds, flowers, roots, rhizomes, bark, and all parts of the plant. Kaffir lime (Citrus hystrix) is one type of essential oil-producing plant that can be cultivated in the surrounding environment (yard, garden) or less productive land so that it has added value. Kaffir lime is a spice or food flavouring with a distinctive aroma and taste due to the presence of citronellal and is used in the perfume and cosmetic industries. This plant can be an opportunity for the community, especially those near the forest, to improve their welfare by cultivating it as a source of essential oils. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide information on the potential of kaffir lime as an essential oil producer to open the insight of the Mandor village community to cultivate kaffir lime plants. The target of this activity is the Mandor village community. We conducted this from May to November 2021, including the preparation and production stages, the essential oil's chemical content and antibacterial analysis, and the delivery of socialization. The socialization activity was evaluated before and after the action by measuring the knowledge of the village community regarding essential oils and kaffir lime. The results of the action conveyed information on the potential of the kaffir lime plant as a source of essential oil, the process of making essential oil, the results of testing on the content contained in kaffir lime essential oil, antibacterial activity, the form of its use in various products of economic value as well as basic information on the cultivation of this plant.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country rich in cultural and tourist resources, one of which is the Kutai Kartanegara Regency, one of the regencies in East Kalimantan Province. Kutai Kartanegara Regency is rich in cultural and tourist resources. During the current epidemic, the tourist industry has had a catastrophic influence on business actors in the tourism sector, particularly in Kutai Kartanegara. According to sources, the tourism sector in Kutai Kartanegara has dropped by 80% due to the COVID-19 epidemic. The ease with which information is accessible is due to recent technology improvements that bring community convenience. One of them is the role of technical advancements, such as the existence of Digital Promotion in operating a business or business for the community, which may facilitate access to information and product marketing. Digital marketing is a beneficial method for promoting a product via information technology, with social media serving as an informational forum and chance for company actors and their consumers. The Mulawarman Museum Tourism Market was chosen as a service location based on field circumstances, business players' revenue level in the calm Mulawarman Museum Tourism Market, and a decline in income. It is intended that this service activity would give marketing solutions for MSME players in the tourist industry at the Mulawarman Museum Tourism Market.

Abstract

Tuberculosis is one of the infectious diseases that is the leading cause of death worldwide. In 2019, Indonesia was ranked 2nd with the highest number of tuberculosis cases in the world. Family is one of the most risky factors in tuberculosis transmission. However, family has crucial role in taking care for family members suffering from tuberculosis because a good care is able to speed up the convalescence and prevent the transmission to other family members. This can be influenced by several factors, such as family’s knowledge and roles. The Community Service activity carried out to family members taking care for people with tuberculosis is one of the strategies to increase knowledge in a Clean and Healthy Living with the aim to reduce the rate of tuberculosis transmission. Based on the results of the evaluation, participants were able to answer questions related to the knowledge material on Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS), and almost all participants provided correct answer related to hand washing with soap (95%). It is expected that participants as a family taking care for people with tuberculosis can implement the knowledge acquired during health education about PHBS
