Abstract

Sterile pharmaceutical preparations such as eye drops, nose drops, and ear drops have specific uses and shelf lives. Currently, based on the information obtained, the community, especially members of Aisyiyah PCA Purwokerto Timur, can easily obtain these sterile pharmaceutical preparations. The community's ignorance in using and storing these preparations can endanger their health. This community service activity aims to describe the knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of the Aisyiyah group regarding the use and shelf life of sterile pharmaceutical preparations in PCA Purwokerto Timur before and after training. The study uses a cross-sectional design with a quantitative approach. The number of respondents used is the total population attending the training. Of the 35 training participants, 20 (57.1%) had good knowledge, attitudes, and behavior before the training, and 15 (42.9%) had fairly good knowledge, attitudes, and behavior. Furthermore, after the training, 35 (100%) had good knowledge, attitudes, and behavior regarding the use and shelf life of sterile pharmaceutical preparations. Knowledge can influence the attitudes and behavior of Aisyiyah PCA Purwokerto Timur members regarding the use and shelf life of sterile pharmaceutical preparations.

Abstract

Low digital legal literacy among high school students has led to high vulnerability to defamation charges. This community service initiative aims to mitigate such risks through a legal literacy dissemination method, specifically by producing scientific articles as a medium for independent public education. The primary focus of this study is to translate complex norms in the Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE) Law and the new Criminal Code (KUHP) into practical mitigation guidelines for students. The results indicate that providing a knowledge infrastructure through scientific writing offers an authoritative reference for both students and guidance counselors in distinguishing between freedom of expression and criminal defamation. In conclusion, this asynchronous dissemination strategy effectively provides a sustainable preventive solution, unrestricted by space or time. This article serves as a practical guide to building students' digital legal resilience and protecting future digital footprints.

Abstract

Biogas produced from cattle manure is a renewable energy source with potential use as an alternative fuel. BUMDes Sejahtera in Rek Kerrek Village, Palengaan District, Pamekasan Regency, manages an average of 20–30 head of cattle and faces problems related to the accumulation of manure that has not been optimally managed, resulting in environmental pollution. This community service program aimed to process cattle manure into biogas and use it as fuel for a generator to produce electricity. The program was implemented using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, which emphasizes the active involvement of partners in all stages of the activities. The implementation stages included focus group discussions (FGDs), socialization, training, technology application, assistance, and evaluation. The technologies implemented consisted of a Sistema.bio biogas digester installation and a biogas-powered generator (biogenset) with a capacity of 2400 W, utilizing biogas as a substitute for fossil fuel in electricity generation. The results show increased empowerment of BUMDes partners in the production aspect through the utilization of biogas and bioslurry fertilizer as new products, as well as the conversion of biogas into electrical energy. From a management perspective, the program contributes to improving partners’ capacity to manage cattle manure and to operate and maintain the provided equipment. The impacts of this program include preventing environmental pollution, reducing fossil-based energy consumption, and enhancing the productivity and managerial capacity of BUMDes in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

The Muhammadiyah Sejati Makassar Orphanage faces the complex task of achieving operational autonomy, especially given its significant dependence on external donations and the inadequate life skills of its foster children. This issue requires empowerment initiatives that realistically equip individuals with vocational skills. This initiative, through the community service program, seeks to empower foster children by providing training in ecoprint creative arts skills that have significant commercial value and support environmental sustainability. The implementation method uses the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach through a participatory training model, which includes socialization stages, technical training on ecoprint pounding using tote bags and local leaves such as balakacida leaves (Chromolaena odorata), red castor leaves (Jatropha gossypiifolia), and papaya leaves (Carica papaya), as well as product monitoring and evaluation. This activity successfully produced tote bags and scarf fabrics with aesthetically pleasing, commercially valuable motifs and significantly improved the trainees' hard skills in scoring, mordanting, pounding, and fixation. This program not only produces physical product outputs but also strategically develops soft skills by fostering an entrepreneurial spirit (ecopreneurship) and promoting awareness of the green economy, becoming an important asset for the economic independence of partners in the future. Abstract

Waste management remains a major concern in various countries, including Indonesia. Improperly managed waste can negatively impact not only the environment but also the community's health, economy, and social well-being. Therefore, more effective and sustainable waste management is essential. The activities carried out included optimizing waste bank management through community outreach. The stages in implementing these activities include preparation, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. The preparation phase aimed to identify the problems faced by residents of Penggarutan Village regarding the rampant unprocessed organic and non-organic waste. Offline activities were conducted, with the first stage being the registration of new customers. Prospective customers must register as waste bank customers before proceeding to the deposit stage. Deposits occur when waste is stored at the waste bank. Meanwhile, online waste bank operations are conducted through a web system, thereby minimizing errors in data recording, data loss, and damage to the paper used for recording. The outreach activities included explaining the waste bank system and the supporting waste bank website. Through these outreach activities, the community was equipped with the skills to separate organic and non-organic waste. By sorting and creating economic opportunities for the community, it is hoped that this waste bank will continue to operate as a way to reduce waste, a major problem. This program also represents a first step.

Abstract

The Kusuka Silken Tofu (Tofu Sutra Kusuka) MSMEs in Sleman, Yogyakarta, face challenges in achieving sustainable production due to dependence on a single soybean supplier and the lack of raw material quality acceptance standards. This condition often results in production delays and decreased product quality. This community service activity aims to optimize supplier relationship management through diversifying raw material sources and implementing simple soybean quality control standards. The methods used include field observations, interviews with MSME owners, participatory discussions, and the development of recommendations to improve supply chain management. The results indicate that implementing supplier diversification and soybean quality acceptance standards reduces supply noise, minimizes the risk of production delays, and maintains consistent silken tofu quality. Thus, this activity helps strengthen the sustainability of soybean-based MSMEs and can serve as a model for developing similar MSMEs in other regions.

Abstract

Indonesia faces major challenges in the agricultural sector, such as dependence on inefficient traditional methods and vulnerability to climate change. Kembaran Wetan Village, Purbalingga Regency, as an area with high population density and a large proportion of the community dependent on agriculture, has been affected by drought and has limited land and knowledge of modern agricultural technology. Therefore, this community service activity aims to empower the community through the introduction and training of a simple hydroponic system as a solution for agriculture in limited land areas, as well as a driver of the village economy. The methods used are participatory, including coordination with village officials, identification of needs, theoretical and practical training in wick-system hydroponic cultivation, establishment of demonstration plots, and mentoring and evaluation. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in participants' knowledge, as evidenced by an increase in the average evaluation score from 33.75 to 80.75. Participants, consisting of housewives and young people, were able to independently assemble hydroponic systems, sow pakcoy seeds, and care for plants. In addition, a demonstration plot was built to serve as a medium for continuous education. This activity successfully fostered motivation and changed the community's attitude towards the use of appropriate technology. In conclusion, hydroponic training has proven effective as a first step toward empowering the community to improve food security and expand economic opportunities. For sustainability, further assistance, institutional strengthening of the group, and integration of the program into village policies are needed to ensure optimal, independent economic impact.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to strengthen teachers’ understanding and awareness of character education through the Islamic Action Theory (IAT) approach, particularly in developing action awareness, perseverance, and moral resilience in professional practice. The program was initiated to reinforce teachers’ internal dimensions in interpreting values, professional ethics, and the consistency of intention in pedagogical activities. The activity was conducted in the form of a socialization program designed to provide conceptual reinforcement regarding Islamic Action Theory, professional reflection, and their relevance to moral awareness in educational actions. The methods included material presentation, interactive discussions, and exploration of participants’ professional experiences. The implementation indicated that the program provided a reflective space for teachers to reexamine their professional practices, particularly in self-reflection, intention alignment, and the interpretation of values in pedagogical actions. Teachers began to perceive reflection not merely as an evaluative activity but as an essential mechanism for strengthening professional awareness, perseverance, and moral resilience in responding to the dynamics of educational practice. This program represents an initial step toward supporting the reinforcement of character education, based on action awareness and integrated with moral and spiritual values. The program is expected to serve as a foundation for further practical and sustainable activities.
