Abstract

Caries are still a significant problem in oral and dental health worldwide, including Indonesia. Various efforts must continue to be made to reduce the incidence of caries, both promotive and preventive, as well as curative and rehabilitative. Based on the Riset Kesehatan Dasar 2018, 36.71% of the people of Padang City have cavities/injured/toothache. Of the youth aged 15-24, 37.45% had cavities/injured/toothache. This program aims to get an overview of caries classification and provide appropriate treatment. The overview of caries classification can become data on the pattern of caries development so that strategies for dealing with earlier caries can be carried out appropriately, effectively, and efficiently. The implementation of the present program was carried out through a thorough and comprehensive examination of the oral cavity; then, treatment was carried out according to the complaints and cases found. The post-treatment evaluation was carried out by distributing questionnaires to participants afterward. Based on the depth of caries treated, 57.14% were dentin caries. Caries classification based on G.V. Black showed that Class I cavity was the highest incidence (64.29%). Mount and Hume's classification presented class 1.3 (39.28%) as the highest, while based on the ICDAS classification, it was class D3 (46.44%). The post-treatment evaluation showed that all participants (100%) stated that the condition of the teeth improved and that there were no complaints/discomfort after treatment.

Abstract

Jenggala Village is one of the villages in North Lombok Regency that was affected by the 2018 Lombok earthquake. Most damage to buildings and houses was caused by noncompliance with earthquake-resistant building standards. As the lower structure, the foundation is essential to distribute the structure's load, preferably given a layer that dampens vibrations. Used tires are an alternative material that can reduce seismic vibrations and be used as an earthquake-resistant house foundation. This community service project aims to raise public awareness about earthquake-resistant houses by using used tires as a foundation to reduce seismic vibrations. The methods used in this service activity are the lecture approach, discussion, question-and-answer sessions, and demonstrations with the foundation model made from used tires. The approach used is a participatory approach that is oriented towards efforts to increase community participation. The preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage are the activity stages. Based on the results of the community service activities, it was shown that the participants understood the training material for making earthquake-resistant foundations from used tires because the material was easy to obtain and very easy to manufacture. Partners have high motivation to participate in training. They are willing to share the training results with other community members so that using used tires as earthquake-resistant house foundations can support the post-earthquake rehabilitation and reconstruction process in all earthquake-affected areas in North Lombok Regency.

Abstract

The partner who is the subject of this service program is RA Al-Amin. RA Al-Amin is a kindergarten located on Jalan Haji Muhammad Yamin No.482, Pahlawan, Medan Perjuangan, Sei Kera Hulu, Kec. Medan Perjuangan, Medan City, North Sumatra. RA Al-Amin is in the same yard as the AL-Amin Mosque. The Pk Mini program was carried out to build the 21st-century skills of RA AL-Amin teachers. This is done based on an analysis of the problems experienced by partners: the teacher's experience in participating in training related to media development is low, learning is monotonous, media availability is very lacking, media availability is very lacking, media that available are less effective, and the playing field is inadequate. The solutions offered are based on partner problems: organizing Loose Part media training for RA Al-Amin teachers, organizing assistance in making and using Loose Part media for RA Al-Amin teachers, and providing Loose Part media Part to RA Al-Amin. The results of this service found that teachers have skills in managing learning to the demands of the 21st century and can effectively organize learning using Loose Part media.

Abstract

Banjar Tegeh Sari, Tonja Village, North Denpasar District, is one of the banjars or groups of residents who have sufficient social capital in waste management. Banjar Tegeh Sari has several activity units directly and indirectly related to waste management, such as waste bank groups, empowered gardens (including bio pore and infiltration wells), and cooperatives. The main problem in waste management at Banjar Tegeh Sari is the need for digitalization and integrated management between the five waste bank groups in Banjar Tegeh Sari and the Manik Galih Cooperative. The aim of integrating and digitizing waste banks is to combine the five groups of waste banks so that recording the amount of non-organic waste becomes more valid and practical while recording the nominal amount of waste in cooperatives. The solution provided is a conceptual model for designing and digitizing waste banks in an integrated manner with cooperatives which will later be called the Tegeh Sari Integrated Waste Management System (SiMaSaDu Tegeh Sari). The target is to integrate and digitize the five waste bank groups into the waste bank management cooperative to make it more efficient and effective.
