Abstract

Class management is one of the supporting aspects of the good learning process. Good management produces a conducive learning environment for both students and teachers. The new learning paradigm in the Merdeka Belajar curriculum means that teachers, as learning leaders, must be able to create safe, comfortable, and enjoyable classes. The problem with partners is that classroom management still needs to be optimal because teachers' knowledge and understanding regarding effective classroom management are not optimal. Teacher's understanding of effective classroom management is arranging students' seats. The psychological approach of students still needs to be fully understood and implemented by teachers in classroom management. The Universitas Tidar community service team is trying to solve problems at the two partners through an effective classroom management training program. Class management is physical and managing students and their social learning environment. Therefore, training is needed to improve classroom management skills effectively. The subjects of this training were teachers at SMP Negeri 3 and SMP Negeri 9 Kota Magelang. The approach used is a classical approach. The method of implementing service activities is through lectures and discussions. The results of service activities are that teachers gain new knowledge regarding effective classroom management, and teachers' skills increase in managing classes according to student's needs.

Abstract

Stunting is a serious health issue because it has short-term and long-term impacts on public health. NTT Province is the province with the highest stunting cases in Indonesia. Baadale Village, which is in the Rote Ndao Regency, NTT, is also not immune from the problem of stunting in toddlers and targets to be stunting-free by 2023. The problems found are the lack of knowledge of pregnant women and mothers of toddlers regarding environmental sanitation, inconsistent implementation of environmental sanitation and clean and healthy living behavior, poor parenting patterns for toddlers, and limited knowledge and practice of serving varied food menus in improving toddler nutrition. This community service activity is carried out to increase the knowledge and abilities of mothers of children under five years old regarding implementing environmental sanitation, parenting patterns, and serving a variety of food menus to reduce stunting rates. The activities include health education and providing animal protein assistance. The activity results showed an increase in knowledge of 60% in pregnant women and mothers of toddlers after the counseling. Participants were also willing to apply and pass on the knowledge gained to other pregnant women and mothers of toddlers in Baadale Village. Continuous assistance and education need to be carried out to continue to encourage the will and ability of the community, especially pregnant women and mothers of toddlers, to maintain a healthy environment and implement good parenting patterns in terms of feeding, health care, and personal hygiene for children under five years old.

Abstract

Lack of understanding of financial records can cause owners to have poor asset management skills. Apart from that, taxes for MSMEs are another problem for business actors. The existence of demands from the government regarding halal certification also means that business actors who sell food and drinks are required to obtain halal certification. The aim of this activity is that business actors can compile simple records of the business carried out, know their tax obligations, and be able to calculate the amount of tax paid themselves. Participants are expected to be able to have halal certification for their businesses, especially businesses with food and beverage products. Community empowerment was carried out in Madiun Regency on 26-27 July 2023. Participatory Action Research (PAR) is used in this community service. Community empowerment is carried out through skills training, counseling, and development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). In this method, participants will make and learn from changes made in the training process. Simple bookkeeping training, MSME taxation, and submission of halal certification are the three sessions that make up the activities. In conclusion, MSME owners still need financial records written on paper, and most still need to try to record them. Most participants have small gross receipts or businesses with gross receipts of less than Five hundred million per year, so companies are not subject to MSME tax. Participants' enthusiasm grew when they helped apply for halal certification.

Abstract

Catfish breeding using an automatic feeding system involves four crucial stages to achieve success in this endeavor. The first stage in this process is the survey stage, which involves a field survey by visiting the Aisyiyah Children's Social Welfare Institution (LKSA). The second stage is the tool preparation stage. This process begins with purchasing the necessary equipment based on the results of the survey that has been conducted. The third stage is the tool installation stage. This stage begins with the land preparation, including leveling the land where the catfish ponds will be installed. As a further step, bricks are used around the perimeter of the catfish pond to support the pond foundation and prevent collapse. Then, an automatic feed device was installed to support the automatic feeding system according to a predetermined schedule. The last stage is the equipment handover stage. This stage marks the completion of the installation and preparation process and signifies the start of the active phase in catfish farming using the automatic feed system. Success in the implementation of each of these stages has direct implications for the success and sustainability of the catfish farming business at LKSA Aisyiyah.

Abstract

Posyandu volunteers (cadre) have an essential role in the early detection of stunting in children under two years, achieved through routine weighing and monitoring of children's growth. This community service activity helps Posyandu volunteers in their role of recording and reporting. Posyandu volunteers use the SIP Book (Posyandu Information System) to record and report the results of activities at Posyandu and monitor maternal and child health, including children's nutritional status. Manually recording the nutritional status of children registered in Posyandu by the volunteers creates time inefficiencies in organizing the Posyandu. For this reason, an information system was built to precisely meet the needs of Posyandu volunteers in their role to monitor stunting in their work area. This information system is website-based and manages nutritional status data for toddlers at Posyandu. This system was tested on Posyandu volunteers in Nisombalia village, Maros Regency, South Sulawesi. Evaluation through questionnaire shows an improvement (from bad to very good) in terms of ease of recording and monitoring the nutritional status of children registered with Posyandu.
