Abstract

TPACK menjadi syarat implementasi pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. Integrasi TPACK pada model pembelajaran flipped learning dapat memfasilitasi pelaksanaan pembejaran secara online ataupun blended learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis integrasi TPACK dalaml Flipped Learning  terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Metro. Penelitian ini menggunakan quasi experiment dengan desain pretest- posttest nonequivalent groups design. Sampel yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 61 orang yang terbagi menjadi Kelas XI IPA 3 (30 orang) dan Kelas XI IPA 3 (31 orang) dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu purposive sampling. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa data kuantitatif dan data kualitatif. Data kuantitatif berupa data hasil berpikir kritis dari pretest, posttest dan nilai n-gain  selanjutnya dianalisis dengan uji Independent Sample t-test (α=0,05). Hasil penelitian meunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penerapan model Flipped Learning  terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik (Sig. p0,05). Data kualitatif berupa data nilai angket keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan skor 88,95% (kategori sangat baik) untuk hasil penilaian observer dan skor 64, 8 (kategori baik) untuk penilaian dari peserta didik. Sebanyak 67,4% peserta didik merasa dapat berpikir secara lebih kritis pada penerapan Flipped Learning. Dengan demikian, integrasi TPACK dalam Flipped Learning berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik dalam pembelajaran biologi secara daring.

Abstract

According to Unesco (2020) 21st Century skills are very important skills possessed by the younger generation in order to compete and successfully face challenges in the global era. One of the efforts to improve 21st Century Skills is to integrate the Discovery Learning model and the assignment of the IQF into the concept of an innovatively created interactive learning module in the form of Self-Discovery and Exploration (SDE). Therefore, this study aims to explore the potential need for developing SDE-based modules in the Taxonomy of Low-Level Organisms courses to improve students' 21st Century Skills. This research includes Research and Development (RD) research using the ADDIE model. The essence of this research specifically focuses on the Analysis stage in the ADDIE model series. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and interviews. The findings were analyzed descriptively qualitatively with the Miles and Huberman approach. The results showed that the lecturers admitted to agreeing and supporting the development of the SDE module to improve the quality of teaching materials in the Lower Level Organism Taxonomy course, as many as 60.40% of students from the Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, State University of Medan admitted that they needed to improve their twentieth century skills. 21 and as many as 94% of students in the major agreed to use the SDE-based Taxonomy of Low-Level Organisms module. Based on this, it can be concluded that the development of the SDE integrated Low Level Organism Taxonomy module is an important thing to do to improve students' 21st Century Skills.

Abstract

Professional prophetic character is religious values based on prophetic traits, including aspects of Siddiq, Amanah, Fathanah, and Tabligh characteristics. Biology education students as prospective biology teachers in secondary schools have the potential to develop themselves into prophetic teachers by equipping them with professional skills in pedagogical, professional, personality and social competencies. In implementing contextual learning, students can explore their potential constructively in a professional prophetic context. This study aims to determine the increase in the professional prophetic character of students in contextually oriented Project Based Learning constructivist learning. The research was carried out in the even semester of the 2021/2022 Academic Year. The subjects of this study were Semester 6 (six) students who took the Biology Development course in SMA. Learning activities carried out in the form of contextually teaching material development activities, contextual presentations, contextual discussions, doing assignments, and working together contextually. During the learning process students carry out good qualities as a manifestation of professional prophetic character which includes Shiddiq, Fathonah, Amanah, and Tabligh. The research results show an increase in professional prophetic aspects in constructivist learning contextually oriented Team Based Projects. This increase can be seen from the Shiddiq aspect which increased by 30.61%, from the Amanah aspect by 32.17%, from the Fathanah aspect by 44.92%, and from the Tabligh aspect by 24.63%. Based on this research, the researcher suggests that for constructivist learning the Project Based Learning can be integrated contextually to improve the student's professional prophetic aspects.

Abstract

Students need to have 21st-century skills in learning to face various global demands and challenges. Reflective thinking skills are fundamental skills that are important for students to have in 21st-century learning. Reflective thinking is the ability of individuals to be directed and precise in realizing, analyzing, evaluating, and motivating their learning process. This study aimed to see the students' critical thinking skills at SMA Negeri 3 Wajo. The research method used in this study is the qualitative descriptive research method. The sample of this study was students of SMA Negeri 3 Wajo. The number of samples in this study was 100 students. Students' reflective thinking skills were measured using questionnaire instruments. The indicators used to measure students' reflective thinking skills consist of four: Habitual Action, Understanding,  Reflection and Critical Reflection. Based on the results of the analysis that has been done, the reflective thinking skills of SMAN 3 Wajo students are still in the low category with a percentage of 37.95% and need to be improved for each indicator of reflective thinking skills. Reflective thinking skills can be trained and improved through appropriate learning models and methods.

Abstract

Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan artikel ilmiah yang sejenis terkait dengan e-modul interaktif berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) kemudian menganalisisnya. Perkembangan dunia pendidikan yang semakin pesat, terlihat dari semakin beragamnya metode pembelajaran yang digunakan, dan pemanfaatan berbagai media yang berguna untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses dan hasil  pembelajaran. Dari hasil analisis data diketahui beberapa jurnal Beberapa jurnal telah dilakukan pengembangan e-modul baik di bidang Pendidikan maupun di bidang lain. e-modul interaktif berbasis e-learning memang sudah banyak yang mengembangkan bahkan ada yang sudah mengembangkan E-modul interaktif pada materi Sistem Ekskresi berbasis PBL tetapi modul tersebut berbentuk cetak, tidak interaktif. Berdasarkan analisis beberapa jurnal sudah ada yang mengembangkan Multimedia Interaktif Berbasis (PBL) untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis pada tingkat Mahasiswa di Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta pada materi Sistem Gerak Manusia. Namun berdasarkan hasil analisis peneliti dari beberapa jurnal belum ada yang mengembangkan e-modul Interaktif berbasis PBL pada materi sistem Ekskresi untuk meningkatkan berpikir kritis siswa SMA. Analisis beberapa jurnal e-modul Interaktif  termasuk kategori layak di gunakan karena e-modul interaktif merupakan penyajian konten pembelajaran dengan memadukan gambar, suara, dan desain yang menarik sehingga diharapkan siswa mengonstruksikan pengetahuan  serta memanfaatkan media pembelajaran, karena sangat penting bagi siswa agar dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar, motivasi dan  pemahaman siswa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritisnya.

Abstract

Digital literacy is critical in the current era of digitalization. However, several studies show that digital literacy in Indonesia still needs to be improved and strengthened. Less than optimal digital literacy can impact low student learning outcomes. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the effect of the Reading Concept Mapping Think Pair Share (Remap -TPS) learning model assisted by the Xmind application to improve digital literacy and student learning outcomes. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 9 Malang, Lowokwaru, East Java, Indonesia, in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. This research is a quasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest non-equivalent design. Respondents in this study were classes X Science 3 and X Science 4 with 70 students. Data was collected through questionnaires to measure digital literacy and essay questions to measure learning outcomes. The research results show that the Remap-TPS learning model significantly affects digital literacy and student learning outcomes. This indicates that the Remap-TPS model, assisted by the Xmind application, can be an alternative solution in designing learning processes to empower digital literacy and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Minimnya bahan ajar mikrobiologi yang mengangkat potensi lokal khususnya mengenai pengelolaan limbah organik secara mikrobiologi. Hal ini berdampak pada kesulitan memahami materi yang menyebabkan kurangnya pengaplikasian materi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan dan menganalisis kelayakan serta respon pengguna bahan ajar mikrobiologi berbasis potensi lokal dalam mengelola limbah organik yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan atau dikenal dengan RnD (Research and Development). Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu model 4 D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan angket (validasi ahli materi dan validasi ahli media). Hasil uji kelayakan ahli materi diperoleh persentase rerataan skor 95% dengan kategori sangat layak tanpa revisi. Hasil uji kelayakan ahli media diperoleh persentase rerataan skor sebesar 96,7% dengan kategori sangat layak tanpa revisi. Data hasil uji coba kelompok kecil terkait respon mahasiswa menunjukan respon yang positif terhadap bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dengan rerata persentase sebesar 90,3% dengan kategori sangat baik.  Berdasarkan hasil uji kelayakan dan uji coba kelompok kecil maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar mikrobiologi berbasis potensi lokal (pengelolaan limbah organik) dapat digunakan sebagai bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran mikrobiologi.

Abstract

High school students must comprehend the notion of viruses since the application of principles found in virus content is tied to everyday conduct. Pupils continue to have misconceptions regarding viruses because they mistakenly believe that they are cells. This study aims to investigate the causes of misconceptions about virus material among Malang high school students by analyzing the misconceptions depending on gender. A four-tier diagnostic multiple-choice test was the tool utilized. The five decision categories on a four-tier diagnostic multiple-choice test are scientific conception, ignorance, false positive, false negative, and misperception. In this study, purposeful random sampling was combined with a survey method. Four hundred and seventy-seven Malang high school students who have studied virus material made up the sample for this study. Using an independent sample T-test, descriptive quantitative data analysis was the method employed. The four-tier diagnostic multiple-choice test was found to be reliable (0.835) and valid (0.411-0.767) in terms of value range. The findings indicated that male and female students had different percentages of misconceptions 56.1% and 43.9%, respectively. Independent sample T-test findings yielded a significant value of 0.017(0.05) suggests that there is a substantial discrepancy in the beliefs held by male and female students.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 telah mempengaruhi domain pendidikan dalam skala global. Tantangannya adalah bagaimana menyesuaikan pelaksanaan microteaching agar dapat dilaksanakan secara daring dan luring terbatas pada Era New Normal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kesesuaian perencanaan, proses pembelajaran dan penilaiannya, serta hasil belajar mahasiswa pada pembelajaran microteaching. Evaluasi dilaksanakan dengan Model Countenance Stake. Pembelajaran microteaching berhasil dilaksanakan dengan baik di era new normal. pada tahap anteseden (perencanaan pembelajaran dan fasilitas) diperoleh persentase sebesar 91,3%, tahap transaksi (pelaksanaan pembelajaran) diperoleh persentase 86,2%, dan pada outcome (penilaian hasil belajar) diperoleh persentase 100% lulus. Penggunaan tiga metode yaitu daring, luring dan asinkronus mendapatkan respon positif dari mahasiswa. Yang menarik, sesi microteaching yang paling dipilih mahasiswa adalah daring, sedangkan secara luring menempati urutan kedua. Pada pembelajaran microteaching selanjutnya, pasca pandemi pembelajaran luring, disarankan menggunakan dua metode yaitu luring dan daring. Mahasiswa perlu disiapkan untuk transformasi preferensi pembelajaran daring di masa depan dengan teknologi yang lebih maju. Walaupun praktik luring akan tetap memegang porsi yang lebih besar.

Abstract

Procedural knowledge is one dimension of knowledge that has an important role, which is to help students acquire conceptual knowledge. Procedural knowledge helps students understand concepts in the Genetics Course, including "Molecular-Based Population Genetics." This topic discusses the molecular structure and function of DNA markers in population genetics research and the procedures carried out by scientists in conducting molecular-based population genetics research. This study aims to describe students' procedural and conceptual knowledge of molecular-based Population Genetics and analyze these variables' correlations. This study used a quantitative descriptive research method with Pearson Product Moment correlational design. The study sample amounted to 101 randomly selected students. The collection of student procedural knowledge data is carried out using test techniques. Test questions are essay questions developed based on students' procedural knowledge parameters. Students' conceptual knowledge is measured using short-fill, actual false, and essay questions. Data analysis was performed using correlational descriptive analysis using the SPSS program. Students' procedural and conceptual knowledge are in the deficient category. Students' procedural and conceptual knowledge has a reasonably strong positive correlation. Procedural knowledge contributes to students' conceptual knowledge with a determination score of 21.3%. Based on these findings, lecturers must create a learning process that empowers students' procedural knowledge to improve conceptual knowledge, ultimately improving learning outcomes in the Genetics course.
