Abstract

Treatment of infectious diseases caused by bacteria has been carried out using antibiotics. However, the problem is resistance and even multi-resistance in bacteria. Preventive efforts are needed to anticipate, one of which is using soursop leaf extract scrub herbal products which contain gamma oryzanol compounds, flavonoids, phenols, and tannins as antimicrobials. This research is a pure experiment with one group pretest-posttest control design and positive and negative controls. The study aims to analyse the effectiveness of soursop leaf extract scrub products as antimicrobials on the skin of the respondents' arms before and after treatment. Antimicrobial counting uses the total plate count (TPC) method, with 118 respondents in-vivo, where the scrub is applied to the respondent's arm, measuring 10cm x 10cm for 10 minutes. The results of the data normality test with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test obtained non-normally distributed data. The trial continued with a non-parametric test in the Wilcoxon test to get a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, which means that the soursop leaf extract scrub effectively reduces total bacteria count. The research may be helpful for the community in efforts to prevent skin infections caused by bacteria, and researchers need to conduct antibacterial tests for scrubs without soursop leaf extract as a comparison and conduct further tests such as safety tests, expiration periods and aesthetic tests on soursop leaf extract scrub products.

Abstract

ESR (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate) is one of the parameters used for health checks. The ESR value is used to determine the presence of inflammation and infection and monitor disease. The reference value is an examination used to see a normal rather than a laboratory examination of a patient. The problem is that the current ESR reference values refer to lab parameter insert kits and WHO, where reference values may vary between geographic regions, age groups, gender and race. Based on the International Council for Standardization in Hematology (ICSH) and ISO 15189 Clause 5.2.2, the range of reference values must be stated based on the local area minimum of 120 samples. The population used in this research was Periuk sub-district, Tangerang City, is 191 and the sample was 126 people with a random sample. Determining the reference value range in this study used primary data using statistical calculations based on CLSI EP28-A3C guidelines, namely the 2.5 and 97.5 percentiles. The research results obtained a degree of ESR reference values of 0-39 mm/hour. Suggestions for further research are to determine reference values based on gender and racial distance.

Abstract

Nowadays, mental health is still an unfinished problem in Indonesia. Telemental health (TMH) exists as a form of adaptation toward technological developments that are expected to help address challenges in mental health services. There is a continuous increase in the number of Generation Z who suffer mental health problems. Meanwhile, the coverage of mental health services is still low even though the convenience of TMH has supported it. This study aims to analyse the factors that influence the utilisation of TMH among Generation Z based on Andersen's theory. This quantitative research collected 180 respondents and then analysed them using univariate, bivariate, and multivariate. Results showed a relationship between the needs factor, access to TMH, health worker support, and residence on the use of TMH. While the variables that aren't related are gender, education, occupation, marital status, and knowledge. The needs factor dominates the effect of using TMH among Generation Z in Indonesia, where a change in it can affect 15 times the utilisation of TMH. To develop TMH into sustainable services, providers can create the right strategy. It’s recommended to Generation Z to avoid self-diagnosis accompanied by enriching knowledge about maintaining mental health.

Abstract

The effectiveness of food delivery and service programs can be seen in the patient's leftover food. If excess food is not taken into account and left continuously for a long time, it can impact the patient's nutritional status, which decreases. Malnutrition in patients is closely related to the incidence of food waste in hospitals. This research aims to determine the relationship between the timeliness of serving food, the perception of the atmosphere of the treatment environment, the appearance of food, food from the outside, the taste of food and the attitude of the serving staff with leftover staple foods of ordinary and soft diets. This research used a cross-sectional design carried out in several treatment rooms, namely the Mina room (Class I), Marwah (Class II), and Safa (Class III). The sample in this study was 34 samples. The study's results found a relationship between the appearance of food and food consumption from outside with the remaining staple foods. At the same time, there was no relationship between the timeliness of serving food, the atmosphere of the caring environment, the taste of the food and the attitude of the serving staff with the remaining staple foods. Two variables are related to the six variables studied.

Abstract

Developing an outpatient reservation application is one of the efforts to fulfil the requirements of PMK RI Number 21 of 2020. Kaliwates General Hospital has an outpatient reservation application called APROMED. However, 7.3 more times patients made reservations manually than using APROMED, and the decrement in APROMED users is 3.2–5.6% monthly. Personally, the informant wanted an APROMED usage level above 50%, but it was only 13.6%. Based on these data, the problem is the low usage level of APROMED. This research aimed to evaluate the APROMED application based on an organizational assessment at Kaliwates General Hospital because a thorough evaluation had never been done. The method used was descriptive research with the cross-sectional study by measuring based on the success components of the DeLone and McLean systems using the ISO/IEC 15504 measurement scale. The results obtained were 76.9% 'L' largely achieved for system quality value, 52% 'L' largely achieved for information quality, 73.9% 'L' largely achieved for service quality, 32% 'P' partially completed for user satisfaction, and 51.8% 'L' largely achieved for net benefits. Kaliwates General Hospital must support APROMED application development based on evaluation, research, development, trial, and implementation activities.

Abstract

Aegle marmelos is a traditional plant with many therapeutic benefits; for example, it is used as an immunomodulatory agent. Literature studies reveal many functional and bioactive compounds, such as alkaloids, phenolics, coumarins, flavonoids, terpenoids, and other antioxidants. Based on its chemical content, Aegle marmelos could be an immunomodulatory agent because it can stimulate the production of antibodies against foreign antigens, increasing IgM and IgG. This study aims to determine the effect of Aegle marmelos filtrate on IgM and IgG titers in Rattus norvergicus induced (sheep red blood cells) SRBC 2%. In this study, 30 rats were divided into five groups: negative control received standard diets, positive control received SRBC 2% injection, P1 received SRBC 2% + Aegle marmelos filtrate 25%, P2 received SRBC 2% + Aegle marmelos filtrate 50%, and P3 received SRBC 2% + Aegle marmelos filtrate 75%. The results showed that administration of Aegle marmelos filtrate could increase IgM titers at the highest dose of 75%, although it was not statistically significant. Meanwhile, Aegle marmelos filtrate does not affect IgG titers in SRBC 2% compared to treatment groups.

Abstract

Coronavirus disease 2019 is caused by SARS-CoV-2 infection. COVID-19 causes increased levels of proinflammatory cytokines, so CRP and d-dimer levels in COVID-19 patients tend to increase. This study aimed to analyze the correlation between C-Reactive Protein (CRP) levels and D-dimer levels in COVID-19 patients. This research method is analytic observational by using cross-sectional secondary data. The population of this study were all COVID-19 inpatients at Budhi Asih Hospital, East Jakarta, with a sample of 338 patients and were taken by random sampling. The results of this study found that female and male COVID-19 patients had the same risk of being infected with female patients as much as 52,7% and male patients amounting to 47,3%. Most COVID-19 patients occurred at the age of ≥60 years, namely 32,2%. All patients, which is 100% patients had high CRP levels, with a mean of 76,06 mg/L. As for D-dimer levels, 47,9% of patients had normal D-dimer levels and 52,1% had high D-dimer levels with an average of 721,48 ng/mL. The results of the Spearman's correlation test obtained a p value = 0,000, so it can be seen that there is a correlation between C-Reactive Protein (CRP) levels and D-dimer levels in COVID-19 patients with a correlation strength of 0,300 (medium). An increase in CRP levels followed by an increase in D-dimer levels but evaluation of other laboratory examination parameters also needs to be considered.
