Abstract

This study aims to analyze the peace concept of the Wahid Foundation and to analyze the application of the peace concept of K. H. Abdurrahman Wahid for youth. This research uses Ursula Martius Franklin's theory and binary logic law theory about peace. The method used is a qualitative research method with data collection through field observations, documentation, literature study, and interviews. The results obtained from this study were the Wahid Foundation peace concept, namely tolerance and respect for differences. Tolerance is characterized by accepting the existence of people or followers of different religions accompanied by respect for fellow human beings, the manifestation of this tolerance is an attitude of respect for plurality, respect for opinions. , an attitude of openness to differences, helping and defending as well as respecting people who are oppressed or treated unfairly, and upholding human brotherhood. Youth can also use some of the Wahid Foundation models in implementing this concept in the school environment through the peaceful school program, namely by means of dialogue, discussion, and simulation. Thus youth are trained to think critically, openly, and creatively and be able to position themselves when faced with situations that require tolerance to be applied.

Abstract

The spread of the Coronavirus has resulted in lecture activities that are usually carried out face-to-face to be carried out online. Therefore, students' perceptions of online lectures need to be known. The purpose of this study is to explain the perceptions of Mathematics Education student of Universitas Riau towards the implementation of online lectures during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach. The data obtained from students was the perception score of students. The results obtained indicated that the implementation of online lectures had received a positive response, which was in the medium, high, and very high category. Judging from the indicators used in each aspect studied, then: 1) in the aspect of students' perceptions of themselves during online lectures, 3 indicators were in the sufficient category and 1 indicator was in the less indicator; 2) on the aspect of perception regarding the ideal online learning process, 1 indicator was in the very good category, 1 indicator was in a good category, and 2 indicators were in the sufficient category; 3) on the aspect of perception related to online learning that occurs, 2 indicators were in the sufficient category and 2 indicators were in the very poor category.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are higher order thinking skills that should be developed in schools, in line with the objectives of the 2013 revised curriculum which prioritizes 21st century skills as a provision for future life. This study aims to analyze and classify the level of students in constructing critical thinking skills. The research1subjects1were 28 students of class VIII B SMP Negeri 6 Ngawi for the academic year 2020/2021. Data collection was carried out through interviews and critical thinking skills tests. The method used was descriptive qualitative. The critical thinking skills test instrument was 5 essay questions consisting of 5 indicators. The results of the critical thinking skills test were declared valid in terms of the1results1of1validation, level of difficulty, differentiation, and reliability. The analysis was carried out on the student test results on each indicator and categorized into five critical thinking categories consisting of very good (VG), good (G), medium (M), low (L), and very low (VL). The results1showed that1the highest percentage of indicators of critical thinking was obtained by 32% which were indicators of tactical strategy setting. Critical thinking indicators obtained by the lowest percentage of 8% were indicators of building basic skills. This proves that critical thinking skills need to be further trained so that they can be improved in science learning and advance in the field of education.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the errors and factors that cause student errors during working on the SPLDV. This research uses a qualitative with a qualitative descriptive type of research. The research subjects were all students of class VIII A MTs Persiapan Negeri of Tagor Island Village, and selected 3 students as interview subjects. The research instrument consisted of a written test and an unstructured interview. The results of the analysis were found, 4 students getting predicate B made a few mistakes with a value range of 84-92 fulfilling the KKM, it was found that 8 students getting predicate C and D made a lot of mistakes with a value range of 75-83 and <75 scores below the KKM. The conclusion of the study was that there were 95.65% conceptual errors and 86.95% errors in principle and operation. Factors that cause errors are: not understanding the concept, only focusing on the examples given by the teacher. do not master algebraic operations. careless in answering questions.

Abstract

Wayang as the only entertainment for the people is used as a media approach to convey Islamic teaching values. This is adopted by Sunan Kalijaga as a media approach. By including a new character which is The Punakawan in the middle of a popular character previously, Pandawa Lima, even though it is not in the original story. Wayang is so attached to Javanese culture and tradition although that story is taken from India. The punakawan figure becomes a differentiator in the wayang kulit story that is carried out with the Javanese punakawan's distinctive name having a prerequisite meaning with Islamic values. Punakawan also teaches moderation in religion that does not intersect with local culture. This study uses a literature study approach, data collected through books, notes, historical stories and others. Islamic education always puts forward a moral and moral approach, from this aspect, the Punakawan figures are raised. The Javanese people believe that the existence of Punakawan figures seems to have lived in the real world, for example Mount Tidar in Cilalap Regency is believed to be the place where Semar lives.

Abstract

Based on the results of observations and interviews with 4th’s grade teacher at SDN 1 Sidorahayu Wagir that had been conducted on January 18, 2021, there was problem in the learning process, namely the number of students who were less enthusiastic in reading. This affected student’s learning outcomes so that the learning outcomes were less than optimal and there were many students who were not familiar with local wisdom in Malang. To see these problems can be overcome by developing a textbook to attract student’s interest in learning through the introduction of local wisdom. So it can increase the spirit of learning as well as maintain and preserve local wisdom in their area where they live. This research uses Research and Development (R&D) with ADDIE method, including Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The result showed that the use Local Wisdom of Malang textbooks in 4th grade of thematic learning at SDN 1 Sidorahayu Wagir could motivate students to learn, especially reading.

Abstract

Character education is an important provision in preparing early childhood in facing a future full of challenges, both academically and in the life of the nation and state, learning at Roudhotul Athfal Bina Ibsani Muslim in the current conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic is a challenge in efforts to manage education character even though the intensity of the encounter between teachers and students is reduced and moves to digital spaces. This study aims to describe the development of character education in RA Bina Insani during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research instrument uses observation, semi-structured interviews where the researcher tries to open the opinion and ideas of the informants so that the problem becomes clear. The technique used to analyze the data used a qualitative descriptive technique. The results showed that there are four models of learning model RA Bina Insani Muslimi during the Covid-19 pandemic; Online (online), offline (offline), Home visit (home learning once a week) and School Visit. The results show that the development of character education is outlined in daily and weekly programs and is still escorted by teachers by providing character control sheets, and providing appreciation and guidance for those who do not meet the criteria. The characters developed are the child's personality, independence, discipline, and responsibility.

Abstract

The difficulties of student in solving HOTS problems are caused by some factors. One of them is student learning style. Student learning styles are divided into three types, namely visual, auditorial, and kinesthetics. This research focuses on visual learning style. This research uses a qualitative method aiming to describe the difficulties of student in solving HOTS mathematic problems by visual learning style. The subject was taken using snowball sampling and purposive sampling technique. The data collection techniques were questionnaire, test, interview, and note range. Analysis techniques used on in this research were data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. The result of this research was student who had a visual learning style got difficulty in using concept at problem with C6 grade. That was because the students were not familiar with HOTS problems.

Abstract

In the current era of abundance, all learning activities have shifted to online, one of which is learning Bahasa at universities. Bahasa learning in universities discusses writing scientific papers. This writing is intended for sixth semester students in preparing themselves to write a thesis/final project. Meanwhile, writing scientific papers requires a lot of practice in writing so that it requires appropriate learning media in the current era of abundance. Therefore, the Quizizz device-based application was chosen as an online Bahasa learning medium. This study aims to describe the application of Quizizz as an online Bahasa learning medium. The application of Quizizz in Bahasa classes has made learning situations both fun and challenging. Quizizz is packaged in learning as part of the learning material. Learning using Quizizz not only explains the material being taught, but also evaluates students' understanding and skills in absorbing the material presented in the form of slides and evaluations that are fun and can be done anywhere. This paper is a literature review that explores from various library sources, both books and journals. This paper shows that Quizizz can produce creative, innovative, and fun learning media so that it needs to be applied as a learning medium in the current era of abundance.

Abstract

The corona virus has spread in the world, because of this situation, the teaching and learning process has also changed, from face to face learning process to a learning process carried out via video conference. Zoom with breakout rooms is one of the most widely used types of video conference in the teaching and learning process. In this study, zoom with breakout rooms was used to examine the application of the cooperative method in vocabulary building lesson. For this purpose, students who were involved in the teaching and learning process were divided into small groups to discuss with each other. The process was that after all 30 students were in the main room, they were divided into 6 groups where each group consists of 5 students. After that they were given the opportunity to discuss for 20 minutes to understand the material being studied. The research was held in Darma Persada University at even semester 2020-2021. The method used was qualitative. The result of this study was that the use of zoom with breakout rooms can be used as an alternative in applying cooperative learning method where the students were in small group consisting of 5 students in one group.
