Abstract

The advancement of technology and the impact of Covid 19 had led to student’s learning behavior shift from conventional to digital learning approaches. The utilization of technology in English language teaching played important roles in facilitating learning to suit the current student’s learning behavior. The study aimed to find out the features in language learning apps that might be suitable with the student’s learning behavior. A case study approach was employed to collect the data and reach the conclusion. Data was collected through e-surveys to 75 university students who experienced in using language learning apps to find out their learning behavior after pandemic and to investigate the features that should be developed to facilitate student’s learning. Result found eleven (11) expected features that should be available on English language learning apps. Yet, the result also revealed that the students still need the teachers and interaction to facilitate their learning activities.

Abstract

The research examines the development of the Cempaka SMART Elderly School in improving the welfare of the elderly in Bengkulu City focusing on the seven dimensions of resilient elderly. The research used descriptive qualitative methods. Informants were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research was analyzed using Talcott Parsons' Functional Structural theory. The results showed that Sekolah Lansia is a learning program designed for elderly people 60 years and over, namely elderly people who have potential in the family and community. This program aims to improve knowledge and behavior, covering the dimensions of elderly welfare in Bengkulu City. These seven dimensions are spiritual, physical, emotional, intellectual, social, vocational, and environmental. The development of Sekolah Lansia includes program and curriculum development, facilities and access, and learning methods. Research highlights the importance of spiritual well-being, social support, and participation in recreational activities for the elderly, as these aspects have an influence on the overall happiness and quality of life of the elderly. In addition, encouraging independence, life satisfaction and engagement in meaningful activities are key strategies to improve well-being and happiness for older adults.

Abstract

Technological advances and the increasing complexity of challenges in the world of work demand more effective and contextual leadership training designs. This study aims to explore the characteristics of the included study, the effectiveness of Case-Based Learning (CBL) in improving learning outcomes in basic leadership training, as well as the factors that affect the success of its implementation. Using the PRISMA approach, articles that met the inclusion criteria were systematically analyzed from the ScienceDirect database. The results showed that although many studies supported the effectiveness of CBL in improving training outcomes, there was a variation in findings that pointed to the need for further research to understand the contextual factors that influence its success. Evidence shows that CBL is effective in developing leadership skills, teamwork, and management abilities. However, elements such as organizational culture, participant characteristics, and implementation methods can affect the results achieved. Training design that includes simulation, feedback, collaboration, as well as gender inclusivity plays an important role in the successful implementation of CBL. This study emphasizes the need for more in-depth studies to identify specific variables that affect the effectiveness of CBL in basic leadership training. These findings provide valuable insights for future leadership training program designers and encourage further exploration of CBL success factors in various contexts.

Abstract

Case-based learning is one of the interactive learning methods that uses real case scenarios or simulations to involve students in the active learning process. This study aims to map and analyze publication trends related to using case-based learning (CBL) in online health education from 2014–2024. This study focuses on publication trends and author collaborations without directly assessing the effectiveness of CBL. Using bibliometric analysis methods on data taken from the Scopus database, this study analyzes the frequency of publications, emerging topics, and collaboration networks between authors, with tools such as VOSviewer for visualization of collaboration maps and topic trends. The results show that publications on CBL have increased significantly since 2018, with a peak occurring between 2020 and 2023. This increase is closely related to changes in education policies during the COVID-19 pandemic, which have encouraged the adoption of interactive methods in distance learning, especially in the health sector. In addition, integrating educational technologies such as digital simulation platforms and artificial intelligence (AI) has strengthened the adoption of CBL in online environments. This study also found a collaboration network between authors with Al-Omran Mohammed as a central figure in international collaboration. These findings provide implications for educators, institutions, and policymakers to expand the application of CBL methods and train educators in designing effective case-based curricula.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of the concept of surplus value in driving schools and explore its impact on the quality of education. this research was conducted based on the need to understand how government interventions can overcome the mismatch of measurable improvement in the quality of education. although previous research related to a structured framework but there are still few studies that discuss it. This study examines how driving schools implement the commitment of the Driving School Program (PSP) to achieve surplus value in the form of 5 interventions from the government. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach, There are 5 driving schools that are used as case studies in providing in-depth insights. Data collection using in-depth interviews, participatory observations, focus group discussions (FGD) and analysis of modified documents. The respondents were 5 principals of the driving schools and the learning committee as the main respondents, the Coaching Supervisor and other teachers from the 5 driving schools, which was carried out from January to December 2024. this research uses descriptive qualitative research. The data was analyzed using identification, classification and interpretation of the data from the research results. The results were obtained that the achievement of surplus value 3 among 5 driving schools in the range of 51 – 75 or the Developing According to Expectations (BSH) criterion means that the understanding, implementation and commitment of the driving schools have been carried out according to the existing schedule/mentoring timeline, have been consistently implemented, but have not been scanned. In addition, this study also contributed to the improvement of teaching and student engagement of the 5 schools that had performance differences with a surplus value of 3.

Abstract

This article aims to collect, evaluate, integrate, and present the discussed articles to understand how professional development programs can enhance teachers' efficacy in implementing data-driven decision-making (D3M). Currently, many teachers have not applied D3M in their classrooms, even though D3M can help teachers develop effective teaching methods in class. One reason for this is the lack of teachers' efficacy in applying D3M. Therefore, this article includes several articles focused on professional development programs to improve teachers' efficacy in implementing data-driven decision-making in the classroom. This article uses a systematic literature review, specifically the PRISMA model, to select articles that meet the inclusion criteria based on the aforementioned topic. The findings show that the dimensions of efficacy, namely mastery experience, vicarious experience, verbal persuasion, and physiological and emotional states, are influenced when a program is designed with a focus on the content to be discussed, uses active learning methods, aligns with existing policies, offers sufficient duration, and fosters collective participation. Mastery experience can be enhanced through the content provided, active learning, and the appropriate duration of training. Verbal persuasion can emerge through the active learning process. Meanwhile, vicarious experience can be created through active learning methods, collaborative participation, and long program durations. When these three dimensions are met, individuals' physiological and emotional states will also improve. Learning through active learning and program duration are crucial aspects for enhancing teachers' efficacy after receiving a professional development program. Thus, professional development programs can be an effective way to increase teachers' efficacy in implementing D3M.

Abstract

Pengalaman santri dalam pengembangan karakter religius pondok pesantren ini merupakan bagaimana proses santri-wati mentransformasi nilai-nilai agama untuk menumbuhkan keperibadian santri-wati untuk menjadi suatu prilaku baik dan tata bicara santri wati dengan bagus ataupun baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengalaman santri dalam mengembangkan karakter religius dipesantren. Dengan melalui penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjelaskan pengalaman santri, dan upaya-upaya pengalaman santri dalam mengembangkan karakter religius ini, serta menganalisis sejauh mana indikator-indikator pengembangan karakter religius ini yang telah dicapai. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan fenomologi. Dari hasil penelitian yang saya dapatkan pada MTs.Hifzil Qur’an Islamic Centre Sumatera Utara, dengan strategi pengembangan karakter religius ini yang diterapkan antara lain: Dengan pembiasaan berdoa sebelum dan sesudah melakukan kegiatan apel pagi dan sebelum masuk kelas untuk berdoa bersama, atau mengajak santri membacakan sholawat sebelum pelajaran dimulai, pelajaran akidah akhlak: mengadakan memperingati hari besar islam, seperti peringatan maulid Nabi Muhammad, peringatan isro’mi’roj, hari raya idul fitri dan idul adha, yang kegiatannya sesuai dengan peringatan yang dilakukan: Pelajaran untuk hidup rukun dengan orang-orang sekitar dengan menyapa guru dan teman saat bertemu diluar kelas maupun sekolah; serta mengimpelentasikan ajaran-ajaran agama islam dalam terkaitnya konsep iman, islam, dan ikhsan,mulai muatan kurikulum yang direalisasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari baik dipesantren,sekolah,dan dimasyarakat. Hal tersebut menunjukan tercapainya indikator-indikator karakter religius. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengalaman pengembangan karakter religius di pondok Pesantren MTs. Hifzil Qur’an Islamic Centre Sumatera Utara sangat cukup efektif, sehingga strategi yang dapat dilakukan dengan mengimplementasikan pada lembaga pendidikan yang lain

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis determinan utama yang memepengaruhi keberlanjutan bisnis toko sembako konvensional di Kecamatan Medan Denai. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi linear berganda. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah toko sembako konvensional pada tahun 2024 di toko sembako kecamatan medan denai. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan Data primer diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 30 responden sembako konvensional di Kecamatan Medan Denai, sedangkan data sekunder diambil dari literatur terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Persaingan (X1) memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keberlanjutan bisnis dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,005 dan nilai t-hitung 3,120. Kondisi Ekonomi (X2) menunjukkan pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keberlanjutan bisnis dengan nilai signifikansi 0,005 dan nilai t-hitung 3,117. Pelayanan (X3) juga menunjukkan pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keberlanjutan bisnis dengan nilai signifikansi 0,028 dan nilai t-hitung 2,334. Kenyamanan (X4) memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keberlanjutan bisnis dengan nilai signifikansi 0,032 dan nilai t-hitung 2,276. Modal (X5) menunjukkan pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keberlanjutan bisnis dengan nilai signifikansi 0,008 dan nilai t-hitung 2,877. Uji F menunjukkan nilai F sebesar 17.529 dengan signifikansi 0.000, menegaskan bahwa model regresi yang melibatkan Persaingan, Kondisi Ekonomi, Pelayanan, Kenyamanan, dan Modal secara bersama-sama memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap keberlanjutan bisnis. Penelitian ini memberikan peluang untuk mengeksplorasi berbagai aspek yang dapat memengaruhi keberlangsungan UMKM.

Abstract

Membaca merupakan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan oleh siswa tingkat SD. dengan menggunakan media gambar siswa akan lebih mudah memahami dan lebih bersemangat dalam pembelajaran membaca. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kelayakan, kepraktisan dan keefektifitasan media gambar berbasis metode global guna meningkatkan kemampuan membaca dan menciptakan proses belajar yang lebih menarik dan menyenangkan siswa kelas I SD Negeri 101500 Batugana. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yaitu: Analysis (analisis), Design (desain), Development (pengembangan), Implementation (implementasi), dan Evaluation (evaluasi). Teknik pengumpulan data dengan lembar validasi, angket dan tes. Teknik Analisa data yang digunakan adalah analisis data kualitatif dan data kuantitatif. Analisa data kualitatif untuk mendeskripsikan pendapat, saran, dan tanggapan validator, sedangkan data kuantitatif digunakan untuk mengolah data hasil observasi penilaian produk dan tes kelas. Dari hasil validitas oleh ahli materi, ahli media serta uji coba lapangan yang dilakukan oleh guru dan siswa dapat diketahui masuk kedalam kategori sangat layak. Hasil tes pre test 57,5 dan post  test 87,9 menunjukkan  kenaikan  sebesar 30,4, sehingga  diperoleh  hasil  N-Gain sebesar 0,13 dengan kategori efektif. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa media gambar yang dikembangan sangat layak, sangat praktis serta efektif digunakan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa kelas I.

Abstract

For beginner learners of Arabic, morphology is difficult to master because of many changes in word form, so an appropriate learning method is needed to make learning more effective. This research intends to test the effectiveness of the eclectic method in learning Arabic morphology for beginners. This research uses a quantitative method, the design used is a quasi-experiment design with the type of nonequivalent control group design. The data comes from the pretest and the posttest outcomes. The data is analyzed using descriptive statistics and non-parametric statistics. The samples in this research are 42 students of class VIII A and B of Manāhij As-Sādāt Modern Boarding School. The results of this research show that the eclectic method average is 65.14% which means it is quite effective to be used in learning morphology for beginners. The results of this research are expected to provide more information about the variation of learning methods that can be used to learn Arabic morphology. Teachers are expected to apply the eclectic method by combining all language skills in one learning time; listening, reading, writing, and speaking so that learning becomes more effective.
