Abstract

Lack of students 'social skills makes students' mathematics learning less optimal. The learning model that is carried out is often not maximizing the learning process-oriented towards mathematical communication skills. This makes the teacher strive for a learning method or strategy to foster students' social skills and mathematical communication skills. The Pair Check method is one of the learning methods expected to train and improve students' social skills and mathematical communication skills. The subjects of this study were 24 students of class VII B MTs Riyadlul Ulum Bendungan. The results showed that: (1) students social skills had a percentage of 74.05% with the "most" criteria, which means that most of the students had quite good social skills. At the same time, students' mathematical communication skills have a percentage of 49.55% in the less category. (2) the application of the pair check method can improve students' social skills and mathematical communication. This can be seen from the post-tests average value, which is greater than the pretest, namely pretest < posttest or 13.88 < 19.58. (3) the application of the pair check method has implications for the social skills and mathematical communication skills of students at MTs Riyadlul Ulum Bendungan. This can be seen from the results of the questionnaire and the test results after the pair check method was applied. It was better than the questionnaire results, and the test results before the pair check method were applied

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought changes in human life. The learning process that was originally carried out directly in the classroom, now has to be done at home by utilizing technology and internet networks. Online learning makes communication between students and their friends limited and students’ ability to work together is reduced. For this reason, as a teacher, you must be able to design learning methods that can make students still able to have good communication with their friends. The method of forming study groups for students is one of the effective methods used in the midst of online learning as it is today. Therefore, the purpose of writing this paper is to explain the importance of group formation methods in developing student collaboration from a Christian perspective. This paper was prepared using a descriptive qualitative research method. Christian teachers when dividing students into groups, must divide fairly and see students as valuable creations in the likeness and image of God. So that in the learning process in groups, Christian teachers must be able to guide students not only to learn about love but to be able to practice love itself in their groups. The existence of a group formation method is not only useful for developing student collaboration skills, but also allows students to appreciate every difference that exists in their group.Pandemi Covid-19 membawa perubahan dalam hidup manusia. Proses pembelajaran yang semula dilakukan secara langsung di kelas, kini harus dilakukan di rumah masing-masing dengan memanfaatkan teknologi dan jaringan internet. Pembelajaran yang dilakukan secara daring, membuat komunikasi siswa dengan temannya menjadi terbatas dan kemampuan siswa dalam bekerja sama menjadi berkurang. Untuk itu, sebagai guru harus bisa merancang metode pembelajaran yang dapat membuat siswa tetap bisa memiliki komunikasi yang baik dengan teman-temannya. Metode pembentukan kelompok belajar untuk siswa menjadi salah satu metode yang efektif digunakan di tengah pembelajaran daring seperti sekarang ini. Maka dari itu, tujuan penulisan paper ini untuk memaparkan tentang pentingnya metode pembentukan kelompok dalam mengembangkan kerja sama siswa ditinjau dari perspektif Kristen. Paper ini disusun dengan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Guru Kristen pada saat membagi siswa ke dalam kelompok, harus membagi dengan adil dan melihat siswa sebagai ciptaan berharga yang serupa dan segambar dengan Allah. Sehingga dalam proses pembelajaran di kelompok, guru Kristen harus bisa menuntun siswa untuk tidak hanya belajar tentang kasih tetapi mampu mempraktikkan kasih itu sendiri di dalam kelompoknya. Adanya metode pembentukan kelompok, tidak hanya berguna untuk menembangkan keterampilan kerja sama siswa, tetapi membuat siswa bisa menghargai setiap perbedaan yang ada di dalam kelompoknya.

Abstract

Online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic is an alternative solution to keep the learning process running, including in universities. This study aims to find out what learning methods with group investigation (GI) methods are, which can improve the quality of the online learning experience and generate flow. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental design, namely between participant posttest only control group design. This study compares the effect of using two variants of the Group Investigation method on the flow experience felt by students when learning online. Participants in this study amounted to 27 people (96.3% women). The mean age of the participants was 21.4 years with a standard deviation of 1.12. The results showed that the use of two variants of the Group Investigation method gave the effect of flow with values that tended to be the same. The implication is that the two variants of the Group Investigation method can be used in online learning because they significantly produce student flow experiences in online learning.Pembelajaran daring selama Pandemi Covid-19 menjadi alternatif solusi yang dilakukan agar proses pembelajaran tetap berjalan, termasuk di perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui metode pembelajaran dengan metode group investigation (GI) seperti apa, yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas pengalaman belajar daring dan menghasilkan flow. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimental, yaitu between participant posttest only control group design. Penelitian ini membandingkan pengaruh penggunaan dua varian metode Group Investigation terhadap pengalaman flow yang dirasakan mahasiswa saat pembelajaran daring. Partisipan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 27 orang (96, 3 % perempuan). Rerata usia partisipan yaitu 21,4 tahun dengan standar deviasi sebesar 1,12. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan dua varian metode Group Investigation memberikan pengaruh flow dengan nilai yang cenderung sama besarnya. Implikasinya, kedua varian metode Group Investigation dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran daring karena secara signifikan menghasilkan pengalaman flow mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran daring.

Abstract

This writing is a report study for the development of a learner school management model as well as the acceleration of educational completion with the goal of achieving sustainable education development at the Sukma Nation School of Lhokseumawe. The research focuses on the profile of the school of learners in Sukma Nation, as well as the program’s achievement and problems in its implementation. The research is qualitative in nature and employs survey methods. In terms of data gathered through documentation and interviews with relevant authorities, including focused group observations. The study also presents various manifestations of the Sukma Bangsa School innovations. The results specifically show that institution management refers to the implementation of five primordial grades of learner schools, namely personal mastery, dividing vision, mental models, sitem thinking, and group learning. According to the system, the succession of implementations is seen in changes in individual behavior ranging from knowledge mastery, information distribution, interpretation, and knowledge reminder. Furthermore, the school of learners’ leadership model has become a critical component of achieving school effectiveness.Penulisan ini merupakan kajian laporan pengembangan model manajemen sekolah peserta didik sekaligus percepatan penyelesaian pendidikan dengan tujuan tercapainya pembangunan pendidikan berkelanjutan di Sekolah Bangsa Sukma Lhokseumawe. Penelitian ini berfokus pada profil sekolah peserta didik di Bangsa Sukma, serta capaian program dan permasalahan dalam pelaksanaannya. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif dan menggunakan metode survei. Dalam hal pengumpulan data melalui dokumentasi dan wawancara dengan otoritas terkait, termasuk observasi kelompok terfokus. Kajian ini juga menghadirkan berbagai manifestasi inovasi Sekolah Sukma Bangsa. Hasil penelitian secara khusus menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan lembaga mengacu pada penerapan lima nilai primordial sekolah peserta didik, yaitu penguasaan pribadi, visi membagi, model mental, pemikiran sistem, dan pembelajaran kelompok. Menurut sistem, suksesi implementasi terlihat pada perubahan perilaku individu mulai dari penguasaan pengetahuan, distribusi informasi, interpretasi, dan pengingat pengetahuan. Lebih jauh lagi, model kepemimpinan siswa sekolah telah menjadi komponen penting untuk mencapai efektivitas sekolah.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how teachers measure the value of togetherness, determine the form of the instrument to measure the value of togetherness, and determine the tendency of the value of the student’s friendly attitude. This type of research is research and development with a research sample of class IX students of SMP Negeri in Dukun District. Interview and observation techniques are used to find out how teachers measure the value of friendly attitude. The instrument development procedures are: a hypothetical model; Expert validation using Delphi technique, revision I, readability test, revision II, somewhat extensive experiment, revision III, extensive experiment, final instrument and final instrument implementation. The analysis includes: item validity using product moment correlation analysis, reliability testing using Cronbach’s Alpha formula, content validity, concurrent validity, and construct validity using factor analysis. The results of the study: the teacher used a journal to measure the value of students’ togetherness, the instrument of togetherness value was valid and reliable with 2 indicators containing 16 statement items, and the tendency for the value of friendly attitudes at SMP Negeri SMA in Dukun District was included in the very high category.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana guru mengukur nilai kebersamaan, menentukan bentuk instrumen untuk mengukur nilai kebersamaan, dan mengetahui kecenderungan nilai sikap bersahabat siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan sampel penelitian siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri di Kecamatan Dukun. Teknik wawancara dan observasi digunakan untuk mengetahui bagaimana guru mengukur nilai sikap bersahabat. Prosedur pengembangan instrumen adalah: model hipotetis; validasi ahli menggunakan teknik Delphi, revisi I, tes keterbacaan, revisi II, percobaan yang agak ekstensif, revisi III, percobaan ekstensif, instrumen akhir dan implementasi instrumen akhir. Analisis yang dilakukan meliputi: validitas item menggunakan analisis korelasi product moment, uji reliabilitas menggunakan rumus Alpha Cronbach, validitas isi, validitas bersamaan, dan validitas konstruk menggunakan analisis faktor. Hasil penelitian: guru menggunakan jurnal dalam mengukur nilai kebersamaan siswa, instrumen nilai kebersamaan valid dan reliabel dengan 2 indikator berisi 16 item pernyataan, dan kecenderungan nilai sikap bersahabat di SMP Negeri SMA di Kecamatan Dukun termasuk dalam kategori sangat tinggi.

Abstract

The text book Al-’Arabiyyah Baina Yadaik is one type of Arabic learning book that is still often used in the world of Arabic language education in Indonesia. This book presents many topics about elements of Islamic and Arabic culture with interesting presentations and has a very high educational value. Therefore, this book is very interesting to study and analyze whether each topic presented is in accordance with language competence and whether the contents of the material listed are relevant to the correct textbook standards. This type of research is literature research with data collection techniques in the form of documentation techniques. The analysis technique uses content analysis techniques. Al-’Arabiyah Baina Yadaik is devoted to non-Arabic learners. Compiled by presenting several competencies such as:language skills (Kifayah al-lughowiyah), communication skills (Kifayah ittisholiyyah), and cultural skills (Kifayah tsaqofiyah). Served with a language maharoh which consists of two things, namely language skills (istima’, kalam, kitabah, and qiro’ah) and three elements in language, namely sound (al-aswat), sentence structure (al-tarakib) and vocabulary (al-tarakib). -mufradat). And has met CEFR standards at level B1 and B2.Buku teks Al-‘Arabiyyah Baina Yadaik merupakan salah satu jenis buku pembelajaran bahasa Arab yang masih sering digunakan dalam dunia pendidikan bahasa Arab di Indonesia. Buku ini menyajikan banyak topik tentang unsur-unsur budaya Islam dan Arab dengan penyajian yang menarik dan memiliki nilai pendidikan yang sangat tinggi. Oleh karena itu, buku ini sangat menarik untuk dikaji dan dianalisis apakah setiap topik yang disajikan sudah sesuai dengan kompetensi bahasa dan apakah isi materi yang dicantumkan relevan dengan standar buku teks yang benar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kepustakaan dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa teknik dokumentasi. Teknik analisis menggunakan teknik analisis isi. Al-’Arabiyah Baina Yadaik dikhususkan untuk pembelajar non-Arab. Disusun dengan menghadirkan beberapa kompetensi seperti: keterampilan berbahasa (Kifayah al-lughowiyah), keterampilan berkomunikasi (Kifayah ittisholiyyah), dan keterampilan budaya (Kifayah tsaqofiyah). Maharoh disajikan dengan bahasa yang terdiri dari dua hal, yaitu keterampilan berbahasa (istima’, kalam, kitabah, dan qiro’ah) dan tiga unsur dalam berbahasa yaitu bunyi (al-aswat), struktur kalimat (al-tarakib) dan kosa kata. (al-tarakib). -mufradat). Dan telah memenuhi standar CEFR pada level B1 dan B2.

Abstract

Intrinsic motivation in doing academic tasks were important psychological aspects for improvement of students’ learning. However, intrinsic motivation in reading research articles was observably low among Cambodian undergraduate students. Therefore, developing or sustaining their intrinsic motivation was a needed treatment to enhance students’ learning. Self-Determination Theory (SDT) posited that intrinsic motivation could be increased when students are satisfied with Basic Psychological Needs (BPNs) which may be cultivated through learning environments that make them feel competent, autonomous, and relative to the others while doing an academic task. This study intended to examine whether BPN supportive learning environment is salient to increase intrinsic motivation in reading a research article. 27 participants who were undergraduate students and enrolled in a course of community psychology were purposively selected to fill in a self-administrative questionnaires of Intrinsic Motivation Inventory before and after attending the reading activity. As a result, level of intrinsic motivation in reading was increased in 10 units (64.74 to 74.44) after the activity finished. It was concluded that BPN supportive learning environment was important to increase or at least sustain intrinsic motivation among these particular students. The implication of this study result in the classroom practices was discussed under the SDT perspectives.

Abstract

The teacher community in an educational unit is needed by teachers, because it is a place for learning to organize in teaching materials and improving the quality of teaching carried out in the classroom which automatically has an impact on increasing the compe- tence of the teachers themselves. Sharing information about the latest things in the world of education will increase the knowledge of teachers in this group of organizations. This study aims to obtain information about the role of the Subject Teacher Consultation (MGMP) in improving the competence of teachers in the field of English studies in the teaching and learning process in the classroom. This study is a descriptive analysis of the number of English teachers in the West Jakarta I MGMP as many as 133 people who are the pop- ulation in this study. Sampling using random sampling technique so that the number of samples obtained as many as 54 teachers. Primary data is used in this study, which means that data are obtained directly from the respondents. The results of the study for data analysis used the average formula (mean). The research instru- ment used a Likert scale. The results showed that with the involvement of teachers as members of the English Subject Teacher Consultation community, it was very useful  to  improve  the  competence  of  teaching  English in the classroom, with the aim that students could un- derstand and master the teaching material presented by the teacher.

This paper tries to show how objectification tends to occur in family, community and school education. Theoretically, objectification is opposed to subjectification. Objectification means positioning children, students or individuals as objects of education. On the other hand, subjectification is their positioning as subjects or active agents of learning. For this reason, a ‘middle way’ conceptualization is needed so that a conception of education in families, schools and communities is obtained that is oriented towards facilitating the natural development of students’ potential or nature

Abstract

In this modern era, the use of ICT-based technology in education is increasingly widespread. Likewise, online learning facilities are widely available, ranging from free to payable. The government and educational institutions also try to provide these facilities for the advancement of education, but the facilities provided have not been able to cover the complexity of the scientific clumps being taught so that in some cases appropriate innovations and platforms of online learning facilities are needed. In learning English, for example, facilities or platforms are needed to accommodate the needs to improve four English skills, namely speaking, reading, writing, and listening. Therefore, this study aims to develop an online laboratory platform that facilitates the teaching of 4 English skills.This research uses the R&D method with several stages commonly referred to as the R&D cycle including: 1) Assessing products that are similar to the product to be developed, 2) developing products based on previous findings, 3) Testing products in real conditions, and 4) revising the shortcomings of the product. This cycle is repeated until the product meets the desired standard. Starting with designing the initial design of the e-learning platform, it is adjusted to the approach to the English learning process based on the skills to be developed. The product of this research is in the form of software for language laboratories that can be accessed both online via internet or in the local network (intranet) without internet access.Di era modern ini, penggunaan teknologi berbasis TIK dalam pendidikan semakin marak. Begitu juga dengan fasilitas belajar online yang banyak tersedia, mulai dari yang gratis hingga yang berbayar. Pemerintah dan lembaga pendidikan juga berupaya menyediakan fasilitas tersebut untuk kemajuan pendidikan, namun fasilitas yang diberikan belum mampu menutupi kompleksitas rumpun keilmuan yang diajarkan sehingga dalam beberapa hal diperlukan inovasi dan platform yang tepat untuk fasilitas pembelajaran online. . Dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris misalnya, diperlukan sarana atau platform untuk mengakomodir kebutuhan peningkatan empat keterampilan berbahasa Inggris, yaitu berbicara, membaca, menulis, dan mendengarkan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan platform laboratorium online yang memfasilitasi pengajaran 4 keterampilan bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode R&D dengan beberapa tahapan yang biasa disebut dengan siklus R&D diantaranya: 1) Menilai produk yang mirip dengan produk yang akan dibuat. dikembangkan, 2) mengembangkan produk berdasarkan temuan sebelumnya, 3) Menguji produk dalam kondisi nyata, dan 4) merevisi kekurangan produk. Siklus ini diulang sampai produk memenuhi standar yang diinginkan. Dimulai dengan merancang desain awal platform e-learning, disesuaikan dengan pendekatan proses pembelajaran bahasa Inggris berdasarkan keterampilan yang akan dikembangkan. Produk dari penelitian ini berupa perangkat lunak untuk laboratorium bahasa yang dapat diakses baik secara online melalui internet maupun dalam jaringan lokal (intranet) tanpa akses internet.
