Abstract

The research aims to find out the influence of using interactive learning media on students’ higher order thinking skills. This research use a type of quasi experimental with a time series design form. Research objects were students from class XII IPA SMA Yapis Manokwari and numbered 19 people. Data analysis requirements show that the data are normally distributed but not homogeneous so the research data is tested using the wilcoxon test. The decision making results were based on Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) in the amount of 0,014 < α = 0,05 so that the hypothesis of H0 was rejected or Ha was accepted. This means that there is the influence of the used of interactive learning media on students’ higher order thinking skills. The result of the N-gain test calculation show that there is an effect of increasing higher order thinking skills which are at intervals g < 0,3, which is equal to 0,2 that include in low category. The acquisition of an effect size value in the amount of 0,06 which is in the interval d < 0,2 indicates that the effectiveness of interactive learning media in improving higher order thinking skills is in a small category. Students’ higher order thinking skills can be seen from the average score in completing higher order thinking cognitive tests, which amounted to 32,64 (posttest 1) in the low category, 37,58 (posttest 2) in the low category and 38,97 (posttest 3) in the low category. This value means that the use of interactive learning media has a low influence on improving students’ higher order thinking skills. This is also supported by the results of the perception questionnaire analysis which shown the P2b statement is difficult to approve with the highest logit value of +2. This means that students assume that interactive learning media is difficult to use and less flexible.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine "The Effect of Quantum Teaching Learning Model on Physics Learning Outcomes of Class X Students of SMK Negeri 3 Lubuklinggau in 2018/2019 Academic Year". This research is motivated by the low student physics learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the pre-test post-test group design model. The population in this study were all grade X class of SMK Negeri 3 Lubuklinggau in the 2018/2019 academic year. Two classes were chosen by random sampling, namely class X TKJ II as an experimental class and class X TKJ I as a control class. Data collection techniques using test techniques. Student test score data were analyzed using the t test. Based on the results of post-test data analysis of the experimental class and the control class with a 0.5% confidence level obtained tcount = 6.9 and ttable= 2.00 because tcount>ttable, means the average score of the experimental class is greater than the control class, then it was concluded that there was a significant effect of the Quantum Teaching learning model on physics learning outcomes of class X students of SMK Negeri 3 Lubuklinggau in the 2018/2019 academic year.

Abstract

The aim of this research  were to develop and determine the attractiveness, convenience, usefulness, effectiveness of student worksheets based on guided inquiry on heat material. The research development method used in this study refers to the method development by Sugiyono, namely: Potential and problem analysis, Information collection, Product Design, Design validation, Design revision, Product testing, Product revision, Usage trial, Product revision, Mass production. This step was started by conducting questionnaire filling addressed to the  science teachers and students of VII class at SMP Negeri 1 Bandar Sribhawono. The product’s design validation evaluation was conducted by the design experts and content / learning material experts. Furthermore, product trial were conducted on 7 students using one by one test, that states this product has excellent quality of attractiveness, the quality of convenience is very good, and the quality of usefulness is good. The usage trial was conducted in one sample class consisting of 34 VII students in SMP Negeri 1 Bandar Sribhawono. The results of testing the attractiveness got an average score of 3.19 in the attractive category, the convenience got an average score 3,20 in the convenience category, and the usefulness got an average score 3,38 in the very usefulness category. The result obtained from the use of this trial is the post-test score, so that the percentage of students' mastery of learning fulfilled the Minimum Passing Grade by 85%. Based on this analysis, the worksheets developed can be used effectively in the learning process.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum requires student-centered learning. The teacher as a facilitator needs to prepare student-centered learning. The teacher prepares learning that emphasizes the thought process. Creative Problem Solving (CPS) models can develop students' thinking abilities. Teachers are expected to be able to develop teaching materials that are appropriate to the character of students. Teaching materials developed improve students' thinking skills. Teaching materials provided should also be able to increase student awareness of the nation's problems. One of Indonesia's big problems is corruption. Learning in schools is expected to instill anti-corruption character, one of which is integrating learning. This research is research and development. In this article is a part of the design of the teaching material that was developed. The data collection technique used is a prototype review of teaching materials developed. Analysis of the data used descriptive analysis. The results of this study are in the form of instructional material design based on the CPS model. The science teaching materials developed are based on the syntax of the CPS which consists of: identifying objectives, collecting data, sharpening questions, collecting data, formulating solutions, and implementing solutions. In addition to the teaching material developed it is also integrated with the anti-corruption character in each step of the problem solving that is displayed.
