Abstract

In contemporary times, research on family resilience is crucial. This is because every family faces unique challenges and is required to adapt, cope with, and recover from various difficulties and obstacles. These challenges may include economic issues, health problems, technological advancements, social changes, and other various problems. Gradually, these issues can weaken the family's function in shaping character and facilitating child development. The objective of this case study is to examine how the communication process serves as a key factor in building family resilience among families with young children. This qualitative research employed a case study approach with three families with young children as subjects. Data was collected through interviews and observations, and analyzed using thematic analysis. The results indicate the presence of components of the communication process as a key to family resilience in the three participating families. All three participating families have established guidelines for communication, avoiding ambiguity, maintaining positive interactions, and having guidelines for resolving existing problems.

Abstract

Privatization and neoliberalism have significantly impacted educational policies, exacerbating inequalities in access to education, particularly for children from low-socioeconomic backgrounds. This study investigated the effects of these policies on access, quality, and character development at TK Cendani, Bandung. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through observation and interviews and analyzed using Grounded Theory. The findings revealed a paradoxical interplay between inclusivity and exclusivity within the education system. Children from disadvantaged backgrounds were often denied equitable opportunities, leading to discriminatory practices that hindered their development. Teachers' needs frequently took precedence over students', resulting in an imbalanced teaching and learning environment. Moreover, the proliferation of elite schools accessible only to children from affluent families further exacerbated educational disparities. These results underscore the necessity for a more inclusive educational policy that harmonizes academic achievement with the development of children's character.

Abstract

In this study, the author discusses teachers' perspectives on illustrated storybooks in introducing disaster preparedness to young children. This research employed a descriptive design. The objective of this study is to provide a detailed or systematic description of teachers' perspectives on the development of illustrated storybook learning media with a disaster theme to be introduced to young children, The data collection technique used by the author is an interview with a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) approach. The analysis technique used is by transcribing the results of interviews conducted with experts in detail. A transcript is a process of transferring data from audio recordings or field notes into a descriptive text. The research results can serve as a basis for researchers in developing illustrated storybooks on disaster themes for young children.

Abstract

Problem based learning model (PBL) has been implemented in the learning process in PAUD. The application of PBL in learning activities is carried out to develop children's abilities in identifying and finding solutions to problems that children are facing, such as in science play activities. One of the problems that occurs is related to the development of curiosity , especially those related to the ability to analyze and develop initiatives to describe problems faced by children when playing. This study was conducted to determine the extent to which the use of PBL learning models based on science activities can be used to develop the curiosity of children aged 4- 5 years in Kindergarten 'LSUPI' totaling 30 children. Data collection was carried out by using triangulation techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation studies , resulting in qualitative descriptive analysis techniques in the form of percentages and explanations . As a result, it is known that the application of the learning model PBL based on science activities is a tool for children to encourage and grow 8 indicators of curiosity when carrying out learning activities.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the efforts made in increasing children’s interent in early childhood literacy at TKIT Azzahroh. The research method used is descriptive qualitative methode with data collection techniques through observation while teaching at TKIT Azzahroh, as wall as interviews with teachers and parent of student from TKIT Azzahoh. Literacy in early childhood is an important foundation for children’s cognitive and emotional development. Literacy that begins at an early age plays a role in shaping effective reading, writing and communication skills in the future. Through literarute review and field observation, it was found that literacy interventions that involve active interaction between children and adults, as well as the use of interestingreading materials, can increase children’s interest in reading and literacy skills. The results show that various strategies implemented by teacher and support from parent contribute significantly to improving children’s literacy interest. The findings are analyzed in the context of early childhood development theory and are expected to provide guidance for educators and parents in desingning effective literacy programsfor early childhooh

Abstract

Considerable challenges, such as the underutilization of digital media for pre-literacy instruction, have prompted this study. Examining the efficacy of the Studycat app in teaching young children English vocabulary is the primary goal of this study. This study used a quasi-experimental design. In this research, 80 youngsters served as the population. Summarized in Indonesian. Various tests are used to analyze the data, including those for normality, homogeneity, hypothesis testing, and effect size. The comparison between the experimental and control groups' pre- and post-test averages revealed that the former had an average of 11.5 and 9.3, respectively, while the latter had an average of 11 after the experiment. This distinction arises because the Studycat app piques the attention of youngsters more than other learning tools since it allows them to play the app directly. The hypothesis test findings show this to be true since Levene's test of variance yields a significance value (sig) of 0.651 > 0.05. It follows that the control group and the experimental group have similar or identical variances in the N-gain data. Accordingly, it is reasonable to assume that instructors' approaches to teaching English to young students vary significantly from the impact of the Studycat app.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the problem of children's lack of speaking skills which have not yet developed optimally. There are various ways that can be done to develop children's speaking skills through telling stories using media that can attract children's attention, such as using pop-up book media using test and observation data collection techniques. The aim of this research is to find out how effective the use of pop-up book media is on children's speaking skills. This research uses quasi-experiment as a quantitative method. The population of this study was all children in the Pembina Padang State Kindergarten, while the sample was 14 children in each class B1 and B2. The average pre-test score of the experimental group was 9.57 and the average post-test score was 19.07. The average pre-test score for the control group was 10.50, while the average post-test score was 15.00. The final data set from the effect size test shows a value of d > 1.00, with a value of d=14.42 which is classified as strong, which means that the use of story-based pop-up book media is effective in improving the speaking skills of young children.

Abstract

Anak usia dini sedang dalam masa usia emas (golden age) yang memiliki potensi yang cukup besar untuk dikembangkan. Sikap, tindakan, perilaku, berbahasa, seseorang akan dipengaruhi oleh kepribadiannya. Kepribadian anak usia dini perlu dibangun dari sejak awal, karena kepribadian akan berkembang secara bertahap. Salah satu yang membangun kepribadian anak usia dini, yaitu dengan membelajarkan anak tentang etika. Pendidikan etika berartimembelajarkan anak tentang norma-norma yang berlaku dalam kehidupan manusia, seperti norma agama, norma susila, norma sopan santun, dan norma hukum, atau norma-norma lainnya yang terkait dengan hidup bermasyarakat. Berbicara etika dan kepribadian merupakan suatu bagian yang tidak terlepas atau berpengaruh kepada sikap dan perilaku manusia itu sendiri. Penerapan etika yang tepat tidak muncul dengan sendirinya, tetapi akan dipengaruhibagaimana bimbingan, pembinaan, pendidikan, arahan atau stimulan yang diberikan oleh orang-orang yang ada di sekitarnya baik orang tua, guru, dan orang lain yang ada di sekitarnya. Hasil dari pendidikan etika ini sebagai salah satu yang akan mempengaruhi kepribadianseseorang, dengan demikian antara etika dan kepribadian memiliki hubungan yang erat, karena implementasi akan dipengaruhi kepribadian.Kata kunci : Pendidikan Etika, Kepribadian Anak Usia Dini. Early childhood was during the golden age (golden age) who has a huge potential to be developed. Attitudes, actions, behavior, language, someone will be influenced by his personality. Early childhood personality needs to be built from the beginning, because thepersonality will develop gradually. One that builds the personality of early childhood, with lesson children about ethics. Lesson ethics education means children of norms applicable in human life, such as religious norms, moral norms, norms of courtesy, and legal norms, orother norms related to social life. Speaking of ethics and personality is a part that can not be separated or affect the attitudes and behavior of the man himself. Application of proper etiquette does not appear by itself, but will be influenced by how the guidance, coaching,education, referrals or stimulant given by the people around him better parents, teachers, and others in the vicinity. Results of this ethics education as one that affects a person's personality, thus between ethics and personality have a close relationship, because implementation would be influenced by personality.Keywords: Ethics Education, Early Childhood Personality.

Abstract

Pemerolehan morfologi (verba) Pada anak usia 3, 4 dan 5 tahun (suatu kajian neuro psikolinguistik). Kajian teoritik Penelitian ini mencakup: Pengertian Psikolinguistik Perkembangan, Pengertian Psikolinguistik Perkembangan Anak, Pembagian Psikolinguistik Perkembangan, Karakteristik Anak Usia Dini, teori morfologi dan teori kelas verba. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian mini riset ini adalah kualitatif, merupakan suatu penelitian untuk mendeskripsikan secara narasi peristiwa, perilaku orang orang atau suatukeadaan tertentu secara rinci dan mendalam. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah penelitian Kualitatif Etnografi. Data yang diperoleh dari hasil penelitian mini riset, serta grafik siatas dapat terlihat bahwa konsep universal yang dipatuhi oleh anak dalam pemerolehan bahasa ini tidak merata, tampak sangat nyata bahwa dalam pemerolehan Verba, faktor masukan dari lingkungan sangat berpengaruh pada anak. Alifia Septima Zahra yang berusia 3 Tahun terlihattelah banyak memiliki perbendaharaan kata benda atau Verba dasar yang merupakan verba yang berupa morfem dasar bebas. Sedangkan untuk Verba turunan, afiksasi sudah mulai dilakukan meskipun baru ―ke‖ dan ―nya‖. Pada kata pengulangan yang terlihat, Alifia masih banyak melakukan pengulangan yang bukan memiliki makna pengulangan. Pengulangan yang dilakukan sepertinya berupa penegasan agar mitra bicaranya mengerti apa yangdimaksudkannya. Sedangkan pemajemukan yang diperoleh Alifia masih berupa pengulangan kata yang didengarnya dari mitra bicara, belum dari hasil kata yang dipahami. M. Rizky Rahayu L yang berusia 4 tahun bulan terlihat semakin banyak memiliki Verba dasar yang tidak hanya berada didekat sekitarnya saja. Pada Verba turunan, untuk Verba berfiks sudah terlihat kalau Rizki sudah dapat mengucapkan dengan penambahan sisipan ―pe‖ ―me‖ ―an‖ ―nya‖. Pada Verba bereduplikasi yang diucapkan Rizki sebatas mengulang untuk memperjelas kegiatannya, dan sudah mulai pada pemaknaan pengulangan. Sedangkan untuk verba majemuk, Rizki juga telah memiliki pengucapan majemuk melalui kegiatan bermain. Annisa Nur Sturaya usia 5 Tahun pun terlihat semakin memiliki perbendaharaan verba dasar yang semakin luas, baik dari benda yang ada di dekatnya maupun yang ada di lingkungan sekitarnya,termasuk dari hasil pemahamannya dari buku dan televisi. Pada verba turunan, serta untuk verba berafiks sudah semakin banyak penambahan sisipannya: -ke; nya; an; pe-nya., per-kan, per-I, me, di, ter, ke, ke-an. Pada verba reduplikasi yang diucapkan annisa sudah pada pemahaman pengulangan kata dalam makna sebenarnya. Sedangkan untuk verba majemuk annisa sudah memiliki cukup banyak kata-kata. Abstract

Isu kemandirian anak-anak dewasa ini mulai terkikis karena anak-anak sekarang memiliki kesibukan yang luar biasa dengan tugas-tugas sekolah, sehingga orang tua sering melayani anak-anaknya. Kenyataanya semua usaha untuk membuat anak menjadi mandiri sangatlah penting agar anak dapat mencapai tahapan kedewasaan sesuai dengan usianya. Orangtua danpendidik diharapkan dapat saling bekerjasama untuk membantu anak dalam mengembangkan kepribadian mereka. Akan tetapi beberapa orang tua tidak tahu bagaimana memberikan pola asuh pada anaknya sehingga dapat membantu dan mengembangkan kepribadian mereka yang mandiri. Karena kemandirian bukanlah sesuatu yang bisa diperoleh dengan tiba-tiba. Hal inimemerlukan proses panjang yang harus dimulai sejak usia dini. Kunci kesuksesan seorang anak menjadi individu yang mandiri sebenarnya dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor salah satunya adalah pola asuh orang tua. Oleh sebab itu orang tualah yang berperan dalam mengasuh, membimbing, membantu dan mengarahkan anak untuk menjadi mandiri. Maka terpikirkandalam makalah ini untuk menyusun materi yang memberikan pedoman menerapkan langsung bagaimana mengenal dan mengembangkan kemandirian anak melalui pola asuh orang tua dan guru di Taman Kanak-Kanak. Makalah yang berjudul Mengenal dan Mengembangkan Kemandirian Anak Usia Dini melalui Pola Asuh dan Orang Tua dan Guru ini diharapkan dapat membantu orang tua dan guru dalam membimbing anak-anaknya untuk menumbuhkan dan mengembangkan kemandirian anak-anak. Menurut Erikson tugas yang harus diselesaikan pada masa balita adalah kemandirian (otonomi) sekaligus dapat memperkecil perasaan malu dan ragu-ragu. Apabila dalam menjalin suatu relasi antara anak dan orang tuanya terdapat suatusikap/tindakan yang baik, maka dapat menghasilkan suatu kemandirian. Tetapi sebaliknya bila orang tua dalam mengasuh anaknya bersikap salah, maka anak dalam perkembangannya akan mengalami sikap malu dan ragu-ragu. Oleh karena itu kemandirian pada anak sangat diperlukan karena dengan kemandirian, anak bisa menjadi lebih bertanggung jawab dalammemenuhi kebutuhannya. Anak-anak yang memiliki kemandirian secara normal akan cenderung lebih positif di masa depannya. Anak yang mandiri cenderung berprestasi karena dalam menyelesaikan tugas–tugasnya anak tidak lagi tergantung pada orang lain. Sehingga anak bisa lebih percaya diri. Rasa percaya diri (adequacy) atau self esteem merupakan perasaandimana anak mempunyai keyakinan tentang dirinya sendiri bahwa ia mempunyai konsep tentang diri sendiri. Perasaan ini dikembangkan dari interaksi dengan orang lain, yakni dari respon orang lain terhadap dirinya. Keyword: Kemandirian, pola asuh orang tua dan guru
