Abstract

This study describes learning Arabic based on a communicative approach during the covid pandemic in four language skills and the obstacles faced in implementing a communicative strategy in learning Arabic. By using the research method used is the descriptive qualitative method with data collection through interviews and observation. The results of this study show that first, Arabic learning activities with a communicative approach can be implemented in four language skills by forming activities that refer to the teacher's principle only as a facilitator to provide direction and guidance to students to be more active during the learning process. Second, the obstacles in its implementation are the lack of quality of students' confidence in speaking skills, difficulty in finding materials that suit students' interests, and taking a long time to implement.

Abstract

This research is important to do because the effectiveness of learning in Indonesian informal educational institutions, especially Student's Education Parks is still quite low. This study aims to determine the effect of Total Physical Response (TPR) on improving Arabic vocabulary memory for TPQ students at the Nurul 'Ilmi Mosque in Semarang City and find new variations in learning methods for TPQ students who have various ages at each level. This research uses Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The participants in this study were 30 students at the TPQ Nurul 'Ilmi Mosque, Semarang City. The data analysis technique used is quantitative data analysis. The findings in this study stated that TPR was proven to be effective in improving the memory of Arabic vocabulary in the TPQ students of the Nurul 'Ilmi Mosque in Semarang City in terms of response indicators, processes and results. This can be seen from the difference in the results of the comparison test between the control class and the experimental class with an N-Gain of 3.86 which indicates a significant level of gain in the high category. This TPR method provides an alternative for TPQ teachers in providing activities in learning that are more interesting than usual so that they can spur the development of various student's abilities and the creativity of TPQ teachers in innovating in each lesson.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) method in improving the learning outcomes of Naḥwu for KMI Islamic Boarding School Darussalam Gontor Students. The research subjects were students of KMI class 4E. This research uses classroom action research (CAR) with Kemmis and McTaggart models. The research was conducted in three cycles, and each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results of the study showed that the application of theStudent Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) method couldimprove the learning outcomes of Naḥwu students of Kulliyyatu l-Mu'allimat Al-Islamiyah (KMI) Islamic Boarding School Darussalam Gontor for Girls campus onethe academic year 1440-1441 H. Although there was a decline at the cycle stage 2 after being developed and improved again, the Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) method can significantly increase the value of student learning outcomes. It can increase student activity in the learning process. Student learning outcomes in the first cycle with an average of 85, in the second cycle with an average of 83.1, and in the third cycle with an average of 90.45. These results indicate that the average cycle I to cycle II decreased and increased after the third cycle was held.

Abstract

Every educational institution is increasingly improving its quality as the Al-Yasini Islamic Institute Foundation Pasuruan with program in the Foreign Language Development Foundation (LPBA) that existsand continues forward along with other international institutions. This research had three purposes which are to know: 1) the arabic language planning model that are using at LPBA Al-Yasini; 2) the elements in planning the program; 3) the planning process of it’sprogram. The research method is evaluative analysis withinformation from interview, obervation, and documentation. Collected data are analyzed through three activities which are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The research results are: 1) Planning of the program uses the Long Range Planning type in micro amount with repeated use and Hybrid Planning process; 2) The planning included all the elements except the control element; 3) The planning program include in every step of the education program except the advanced planning step. Moreover, the research stresses to provide its planning by completing the monitoring component and implementing the  planning human resources such as directives for teachers until the program implementation is in accordance with planning and achieving goals effectively.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe the speaking strategies in strengthening character values at learning arabic at the independent learning’s era in Darus Salam Islamic Boarding School.This research was designed with a qualitative approach, with the type of case study. A method for collecting data by observations in teaching Arabic language, and documenting the teacher's speech act’s strategy, and interviewing the context of these teacher’s actsand is analyzed by interactive model analysis. The results of this research are, strengthening character values by the communication strategy with two strategies: A) the direct strategy with five functions, 1) the request, 2) the command, 3) the invitation, 4) The hope, 5) The advice; b) the indirect strategy has two functions, 1) The request, and 2) The command. The results of this study contribute to the teacher's communication strategy in using appropriate verbal verbs as an attempt to build students who have a moral character and become more interactive and communicative learning while teaching Arabic. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct the following research to understand moral values through the educational materials for writing skill that include moral values in them in Arabic learning.

Abstract

This study aims to explore Arabic textbooks by looking at four elements, namely selection (material selection), gradation (ordering), presentation, and repetition in Arabic textbooks for Class XI MA Curriculum KMA 183 in 2019 according to the theory of William Francis Mackey and explore Arabic language skills on textbook content according to the ACTFL standard perspective. This study uses qualitative research methods with descriptive analysis techniques and content analysis sourced from documentation data in Arabic textbooks for Class XI MA Curriculum KMA 183 in 2019, related books, articles, and journals. The results of the study show that the Arabic language textbooks for class XI KMA 183 in 2019 as a whole have met the criteria of Mackey's theory in four aspects. In the element of selection, the book has met three criteria for validity in the content and components of the book, including the parts of learning objectives, the level of students' abilities, and the type of language used. Furthermore, the gradation aspect of each subject matter in chapters 1 to 6 consists of listening, speaking, reading, writing, and tarākib skills, each related to and supporting one another with deductive and inductive sequencing methods. In the presentation aspect, three procedures are used in the book: differentiation, intensive and pictorial procedures. Each stage of the book presentation uses two languages, Arabic and Indonesian, utilizing the help of image object media to make it easier for students to understand the material. In the aspect of repetition, several tadribāt and materials are presented repeatedly with different themes in each chapter in the four Arabic language skills. The analysis of Arabic skills on Arabic books for class XI KMA 183 in 2019 according to the ACTFL standard perspective is divided into three levels: intermediate, low, mid, and high. Each group is classified according to the content of the material, indicators, and evaluation of learning in each of the four mahārah in six chapters, namely mahārah istimā', kalām, qirā’ah, and kitābah.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of the textbook "Aku Cinta Bahasa Arab" for grade 1 elementary school published by Tiga Serangkai in terms of the psychology of children's cognitive development. This research is library research with content analysis method. The data collection technique in this research is documentation. Sources of data used in this study are books, journals, documents, articles, and other scientific works relevant to the study's object of study. The main topics of this research are theories related to textbook assessment and cognitive development of elementary-age children. The data collection technique in this research is documentation. Furthermore, to process and analyze the data, the author uses the method of content analysis, which is an analysis of the content that focuses on interpretation in terms of assessing the feasibility of textbooks and reviewing theories of cognitive development for elementary-age children. The results of this study indicate that there is a suitability of the assessment of texts with children's cognitive development. However, there are still errors both in terms of technique and substance of the book. Various improvements are needed to be used as learning materials in accordance with the cognitive development of children in the grade 1  elementary school.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 telah menyebabkan pendidikan menjadi berlangsung secara daring. Hal ini membuat pendidikan karakter kurang maksimal. Oleh karena ituو penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas sejuah mana pendidikan karakter diterapkan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab pada era pandemi Covid-19 di XI-MIPA 2 Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Ummahtahunajaran 2020/2021. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif berupa lapangan (field research) dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Setelah data terkumpul lalu dianalisis dengan dua tahap. Tahap pertama menggunakan analisis sebelum lapangan serta tahap kedua menggunakan analisis model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan nilai-nilai yang diterapkan di MA Nurul Ummah berupa nilai sosial, nilai spiritual, nilai pengetahuan, dan nilai keterampilan. Dalam penerapan lapangan, pendidikan karakter belum terlaksana secara sistematis karena belum ada RPP, namun dalam pelaksanaanya guru mampu membimbing dan memotivasi peserta didik. Sedangkan untuk evaluasi, guru hanya melakukan observasi sikap peserta didik lalu menarik kesimpulan. Meski pendidikan karakter belum terlaksana secara maksimal, pendidikan tersebut mampu membuat peserta didik tetap semangat dalam belajar khususnya dalam pembelajaran kaidah bahasa. Peserta didik juga memiliki kesabaran, religius, kreatif, dan simpati.
