Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of the amoeba breeding context and to produce students' learning trajectories in learning rank numbers through a guided inquiry learning model using Google Jamboard. This research method uses Design Research (DR), which includes 3 stages: preliminary design), experimental design, and retrospective analysis. The research begins with a literature review and designing the HLT. The learning design was prepared based on the HLT which was then tested through 2 stages, namely the pilot experiment and teaching experiment. A retrospective analysis was performed at each stage by comparing the initial HLT with the actual learning trajectory. The data collection techniques used were observation, recording of learning activities during experimental design, giving LKPD, giving evaluation questions, and interviews. This research was conducted on students of SMP Negeri 5 Tasikmalaya class IX-B at the pilot experiment and IX-A at the teaching experiment. The results of this study indicate that the role of the Amoeba breeding context can help facilitate students to build basic concepts in finding the concept of exponent number material. In addition, a learning trajectory is produced that can help students understand the concept of rank number material, with the context of Amoeba breeding through guided inquiry using Google Jamboard.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan menunjukkan efektivitas model pembelajaran model Think Pair Share Berbantu E-LKPD pada materi Bangun Ruang Sisi Datar di kelas VIII-D SMP Muhammadiyah 15 Surabaya. Subyek penelitian ini merupakan peserta didik kelas VIII-D SMP Muhammadiyah 15 Surabaya yang terdiri dari 13 peserta didik perempuan dan 12 peserta didik laki-laki. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Think Pair Share Berbantu E-LKPD pada kelas VIII-D SMP Muhammadiyah 15 Surabaya efektif diterapkan. Hal ini berdasarkan (1) keefektifan aktivitas peserta didik tercapai karena tujuh dari delapan indikator aktivitas peserta didik pada pertemuan satu dan dua dalam rentang waktu ideal; (2) keefektifan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran oleh guru pada kedua pertemuan mencapai persentase yang ditentukan dengan rata-rata baik; (3) ketuntasan hasil belajar peserta didik menunjukkan bahwa 88% tuntas dengan mencapai KKM; (4) respon peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran menunjukkan respon sangat positif; dan (5) kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik setelah mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share Berbantu E-LKPD adalah cukup kreatif.Kata Kunci: Efektivitas; Think Pair Share; E-LKPD; Berpikir KreatifABSTRACTThis study aims to demonstrate the effectiveness of the E-LKPD Assisted Think Pair Share learning model on the material of Building a Flat Side Room in class VIII-D of SMP Muhammadiyah 15 Surabaya. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII-D of SMP Muhammadiyah 15 Surabaya which consisted of 13 female students and 12 male students. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative research. The results showed that the E-LKPD Assisted Think Pair Share learning model in class VIII-D of SMP Muhammadiyah 15 Surabaya was effectively applied. This is based on (1) the effectiveness of student activities is achieved because seven of the eight indicators of student activity at meetings one and two are in the ideal timeframe; (2) the effectiveness of the implementation of learning by teachers at both meetings reaches the specified percentage with a good average; (3) the completeness of student learning outcomes shows that 88% complete by achieving the KKM; (4) the response of students to learning shows a very positive response; and (5) the creative thinking ability of students after participating in learning with the Think Pair Share Assisted E-LKPD learning model is quite creative.Keywords: Effectiveness; Think Pair Share; E-LKPD; Creative Thinking

Abstract

Interactive multimedia works as an interactive media in learning. The aim of this research is to develop and determine the feasibility. The method used in this research is Research Development with quantitative research methods. This research creates an interactive multimedia assisted by Adobe Flash Professional CS6 that is geared towards understanding mathematical concepts then by whole material experts, mathematical concept comprehension experts, learning design experts and multimedia experts, the feasibility of the product under construction, until the final design is obtained in the form of an interactive model multimedia product developed on the basis of the ADDIE development model. Data analysis with ADDIE. The results of this research are interactive multimedia assisted by Adobe Flash Professional CS6, the development of interactive multimedia geared towards the understanding of mathematical concepts of students using the ADDIE development process which includes analysis, design, development, implementation implementation and evaluation. The design shows that the navigation structure did not work on all elements of interactive multimedia, the display is not yet colorful and eye-catching, the content of the presented material conforms to the user's specifications, the sound effects are complete. The feasibility of interactive multimedia geared towards understanding students' mathematical concepts by experts on the entire material, experts in understanding mathematical concepts, experts in learning design and multimedia experts on content validity and validity construction shows that the product is usable. The final interactive multimedia design is the result of the media feasibility test and the first review phase. The final design shows that the product is easy to use as it is configured with a simple navigation system, colorful and eye-catching screen, games and sound effects that make learning math more interesting and memorable. Face validity responses show that clarity of text, images, audio and animation gets a very understandable category, clarity of language gets a very understandable category, ease of use of multimedia gets a very understandable category and the ease of learning of the material gets an understandable category. Overall, the response from the students was very good and resulted in an interactive multimedia final product geared towards understanding mathematical concepts.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe the mind style of students in solving mathematics problem at trigonometry material. The research was conducted in one of high school in Karawang district for 33 students in class XI IPA 1. Data’s collection of this research was obtained by giving mind style’s delineator, mathematics problem’s test, and interview. The subjects of this research were 4 students whom selected by using purposive sampling technique as the representation of each type of mind style. The data analysis of this research was using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model through the stages of data’s reduction, data’s display, and verification. The results of this research showed that there were 7 students had Concrete Sequential’s mind style, 6 students had Abstract Sequential’s mind style, 14 students had Concrete Random’s mind style, and 6 other students had Abstract Random’s mind style. Therefore, it can be concluded that the dominant’s mind style of students in XI IPA 1 was Abstract Random’s mind style.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa E-module berbasis pendekatan Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang valid, praktis dan untuk mengetahui efek potensial e-module yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi, angket respon peserta didik dan tes hasil belajar. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI di SMA Negeri 2 Kikim Selatan. Objek penelitian ini adalah pengembangan e-module berbasis pendekatan Problem Based Learning (PBL). Hasil penelitian menunjukan e-module yang dikembangkan dinyatakan sangat valid, dengan skor 87. E-module dinyatakan praktis berdasarkan penilaian dari angket respon siswa dengan skor 78,47. Dinyatakan memiliki efek potensial dengan kriteria sangat tinggi berdasarkan hasil tes belajar siswa dengan persentase sebesar 85%. Maka disimpulkan bahwa E-module berbasis pendekatan Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi Persamaan Garis Singgung Lingkaran di Kelas XI SMA layak digunakan pada pembelajaran.Kata kunci : ADDIE, E-module, PBL, Persamaan Garis Singgung Lingkaran

Abstract

This article discusses the metacognitive abilities of students in solving mathematical problem solving story problems. This study uses a qualitative approach by using the case study method. Research subjects were selected by purposive-sampling. The subjects were six people, taken from 38 students, to represent mathematics ability with low, medium, and high categories of 2 people each. This study uses a test instrument of mathematical problem solving story questions, a metacognitive ability questionnaire, and an interview guide. The data were collected using the technique of giving tests, giving questionnaires, and interviewing guidelines. The data analysis technique used consists of 3 stages, namely analyzing the results of students' answers, presenting the results of data analysis, and making conclusions from the results of data analysis of students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The results of this study indicate that based on the results of tests on students with high mathematical abilities, they are able to carry out the three stages of metacognitive abilities, namely planning, monitoring, and evaluating. The students with moderate mathematical abilities, the results of the study showed that they were able to carry out the planning, and monitoring stage but had not been able to carry out the evaluating stages. Meanwhile, students with lower category mathematics abilities have not been able to carry out the three stages of metacognitive abilities, namely planning, monitoring, and evaluating.

Abstract

Berpikir merupakan aktivitas manusia yang tak bisa dilepaskan. Kemampuan berpikir  salah satunya berpikir kreatif yang harus dimiliki dan dikembangkan siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan tahapan berpikir kreatif berdasarkan teori Wallas yang terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, inkubasi, iluminasi, dan verifikasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses berpikir kreatif siswa climber menurut tahapan Wallas. Subjek penelitian berasal dari siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Purworejo sebanyak dua siswa. Teknik pengambilan subjek pada penelitian ini menggunakan  purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu tes dan wawancara. Triangulasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu triangulasi teknik.. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa climber dalam proses berpikir hanya sampai pada tahapan iluminasi, tahapan verifikasi sering diabaikan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the communication skills of prospective teachers in learning mathematics to build students' reasoning abilities. The research was carried out in class X SMAN 1 Lawang with 38 students and SMAN 1 Singosari with 40 students. The subjects of this research were KPL students from the Mathematics Education Study Program, State University of Malang, consisting of 2 students. Mathematics learning for prospective teachers is Graph material and Quadratic Functions. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The instruments in this study were interviews, field notes, and video recordings. The results of this study are that prospective teachers are able to communicate theorems and procedures well, according to the concept map material on Graphs and Quadratic Functions. Functions can be demonstrated through writing and geometric shapes by using mathematical interpretations from real life, performing calculations and predictions, explaining reasons why an answer can be accepted as a truth, finding an answer so as to be able to reveal connections and provide insight into the underlying mathematical structure. The exposition activities of prospective teachers through generalization activities of proof - proving the problems given help students get a truth, so that in this case the prospective teachers have succeeded in building students' reasoning. Errors that occur from a small number of students when making conclusions are expected to be minimized through a deeper study of mathematical communication to build student reasoning.Keywords: Teacher candidates, Mathematical Communication, Student Reasoning

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the metaphorical thinking approach on students' mathematical critical thinking abilities and determine the percentage of students' mathematical critical thinking abilities who use the metaphorical thinking approach. The method used is the experimental method, namely Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population in the study was all students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya. The samples in the research were students in class VIII G as the experimental class and class VIII A as the control class. The sample technique uses random assignment. The instrument used is a description test of mathematical critical thinking abilities. Data analysis techniques include descriptive statistics and inferential statistics by analyzing and measuring students' mathematical critical thinking skills using IBM SPSS Statistics 24. Normality test using Shapiro Wilk, homogeneity test using Levene's, mean difference test (right side) using Independent Sample T- Test, and the Mann Whitney test. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the metaphorical thinking approach on students' mathematical critical thinking abilities. The mathematical critical thinking ability of students with a metaphorical thinking approach is in the high category 40.625%, medium 40.625%, low 18.75%, and the overall average score is 58% in the medium category.
