Abstract

The purposes of this study are to describe the implementation of management of scientific writing learning in class XI at the SMA Negeri 1 Dewantara. Implementation of learning management is viewed from several main components, namely (1) lesson planning; (2) the learning implementing process; and (3) learning evalution. The approach uses qualitative, with a qualitative descriptive research type. Data collection techniques are observation (seeing and observing events), interviews (meeting directly with informants), and documentation. The validity of the data is tested by triangulation. The data analysis technique is carried out in stages (1) data reduction (summarizing the core data); (2) data presentation (coding of data that has been reduced); (3) conclusions (concluding the data obtained). The research result shows the following matters. First, the planning of learning to write scientific papers are prepared by the teacher is valued 98,4% and is categorized as very good. Second, the process of implementing learning to write scientific papers are carried out by the teacher is 92,9% and categorized as very good. Third, the evalution of learning to write scientific papers are done by the teacher is 77,7% and categorized as good. Because of that it can be stated that these three processes are related to one another. The integration of the three components will describe the readiness of the teacher before learning, the learning processes is directed, and the assessment (evalution) is accurate and will have an impact on aspects of knowledge, aspects of skills, and aspects of student attitude.

Abstract

The research test was carried out at the Biology Laboratory FKIP UISU. The study design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 treatment tests and five replications, as a comparison of each treatment test used control. This study aims to determine the content of pesticides in Brassica chinensis in Medan city markets, whether pesticides are contaminated or not, and to determine student learning outcomes in biochemical subjects in additives and contaminants in food.In this study, the mortality of C. binotalis larvae was observed in each treatment test, starting from observations on Brassica chinensis leaf samples taken from control, then on Brassica chinensis leaf samples taken from Sambas market, Simpang Limun market, Halat market, and market Like Crowded. Observations were made at 6, 12, 24, 48, and 72 hours after application. The area of leaf damage was observed after 72 hours of application in each treatment test. Likewise, larval weight gain was calculated after 72 hours of application. After 72 hours of treatment test, the highest larval mortality occurred in Brassica chinensis samples taken from the crowded market at 6.22%, with the lowest larval weight gain of 570 mg, and with the least area of leaf damage that was 1,169 mm2. While the lowest larval mortality after 72 hours of treatment test occurred in Brassica chinensis samples taken from the control at 0.89%, with the highest larval weight gain of 588.8 mg, and with the most extensive leaf damage area of 5,486.3 mm2.Before conducting biochemical learning on material additives and contaminants in food to students, a pre-test was made to students, and the average value of student learning outcomes during the pre-test was 60.26 with a standard deviation of 10.09. Whereas after the learning material has been submitted and conducted a post test the average value of student learning outcomes has increased by 74.85 with a standard deviation of 6.25.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the effect of Thinking Actively in a Social Context, Creative Problem Solving, and Direct Instruction learning models on students' divergent thinking skills. The quantitative research with a quasi-experimental method was used as the research approach. The research subjects include the fifth-grade students at the public elementary schools in Laweyan District, Surakarta, Indonesia. The data were collected using test and non-test techniques. They were then analyzed using the prerequisite test, hypothesis test and multiple-comparison test. The results show that the learning model has an effect on divergent thinking skills. The selection of TASC and CPS learning models has an effect on the students activeness in learning, so teachers can consider these models to be applied in learning with integrated thematic teaching materials in the 2013 curriculum.

Abstract

The provision of education provides a positive value for the development of the quality of Human Resources (HR), because global challenges and competition between nations in various aspects of life are increasingly competitive. This study aims to find the effect of learning models find the effect of discovery learning learning models with inquiry learning learning models to increase student learning outcomes; find the effect of student learning independence on student learning outcomes; and find interactions between discovery learning, inquiry learning and student learning independence models on student learning outcomes. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study, which is to examine student learning outcomes in food knowledge subjects using discovery learning and inquiry learning models. The research design used in this study is factorial design. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation and tests. Instrument of student learning outcomes. This study concludes that: (1) there is a significant difference in the effect of discovery learning models compared to inquiry learning models on improving student learning outcomes; (2) there is a significantly higher difference in high learning independence compared to students with low learning independence on student learning outcomes, and (3) there is an interaction between discovery learning, inquiry learning and student learning independence towards student learning outcomes. Based on the above conclusions as a whole shows there are differences in the application of learning models, the level of independence and interaction between the use of learning models, and the level of independence of student learning outcomes.

So in the current era of globalization, the world of education for the younger generation, especially students, requires character education that builds the nation's wisdom. Character education is through group study or discussion. The purpose of writing this research is to find out character education through discussion activities on STKIP PGRI Lubuklinggau students. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method, which uses observations, interviews, and literature studies to examine research studies. The results of the study note that innovative media in classroom learning in semester V students of STKIP PGRI History Education in Lubuklinggau is very necessary and very helpful in learning. Innovative media applied by lecturers in learning turns out to be able to shape the character of students who were previously passive and feel bored with the learning taught by the lecturer. Students feel there is a responsibility in participating in learning and trying to leave their laziness in the classroom. In addition, character education through discussion activities for STKIP PGRI Lubuklinggau students is very helpful in learning to respond to something and foster a high morale and foster a spirit of empathy.

Abstract

The object of this research is the influence of anxiety on the ability to write narration. Writing skill is an essential part of the language that must be internalized in elementary school students. In fact, there are still many students who find it is difficult to express their narrative ideas into a written language called writing. The difficulty is thought to raise anxiety in expressing language into written form. Students are afraid to start to write so that students, performance in writing affects the production of the resulting writing. Anxiety will produce a negative effect that adversely affects the student and hinders the writing activities undertaken. Therefore, the researcher raised this problem with respondents who were taken at grade V (five) level in the Public Elementary School in the Binaan III Region, Kebon Jeruk District, West Jakarta. The research method uses a quantitative approach with survey methods and path analysis techniques. Respondents used were 109 students from 3 elementary schools, namely SDN Kebon Jeruk 01, SDN Kebon Jeruk 08, and SDN Kebon Jeruk 10, by using the multistage cluster sampling technique. The research instrument was writing the narrative text for the variable narrative writing skill and a questionnaire for anxiety variables. The purpose of this study was to determine how much influence anxiety with the ability to write narration. The results of the study stated there was an influence between anxiety on the ability to write narratives of 202.
