Abstract

A study of the use of language in society or the media needs to be done to see linguistic phenomena that are always dynamic. This research was descriptive-qualitative research that aimed to describe and analyze loanwords from foreign languages in BBC Arabic Instagram. The data were taken using the observation method with the uninvolved conversation observation technique (Simak bebas libat cakap) using the purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the absorption form in BBC Arabic Instagram is dominated by a direct absorption model by adapting phonological and morphological adaptations. The research also showed that social media preferred to use foreign language absorption words directly even though these words had Arabic equivalents. The excessive use of foreign terms and out-of-control was feared to cause the death of some words in Arabic and the collapse of the sovereignty of the Arabic language because it was colonized by other languages with more advanced civilizations. Abstract

The development of technology and the dynamics of virtual and non-virtual learning as a form of mixed learning also occurs in the practice of learning to speak Arabic. However, not all media can support learning. Thus, this study aims to determine the perception of PKPBA students of the Psychology Faculty of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang in Ps.2 class on the use of google meet and video calls in the practice of speaking Arabic. This type of research is descriptive and qualitative. The data was obtained from questionnaires via google form 35 research subjects, namely PKPBA students of the Psychology Faculty of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang class Ps.2 who have studied Arabic speaking skills in the first semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The data is processed using a Likert scale and is equipped with tables and pie charts. The result showed that (1) the use of video calls was easily accessible from google meet, (2) the use of video calls was easier to use during practice and get corrections from friends and lecturers than on google meet, and (3) video calls were more effectively used in the practice of speaking with a total number of a limited number of students while google meet is effectively used in the practice of group speaking in large groups/one class in a longer duration of time.

Abstract

The more Arabic vocabulary mastered, the easier it is to use Arabic because it can convey meaning to other people well. The use of media affects the suitability of messages received by students. One of the media that can be used in learning Arabic vocabulary is an animated learning video based on the Plotagon Story application. In observations made at SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Tanggulangin Sidoarjo, researchers found a lack of innovation in learning Arabic, especially in Arabic Vocabulary. The development of Arabic vocabulary learning media based on the Plotagon Story application in schools aims to provide innovation in Arabic learning media so as to help students understand Arabic vocabulary. In this study, researchers used the R&D development research method with the Addie model and with research instruments in the form of interviews, observations, questionnaires which were then analyzed using descriptive (qualitative) and quantitative analysis techniques. The result of this research is that the cumulative percentage of student responses to the Plotagon Story application-based vocabulary learning media is 82.4%. Utilization of technology in learning media aims to add student learning styles, not limiting the time and place for students to study, providing space for students to use technology for education.

Abstract

This paper aims to examine the style of language used by Nizar Qubbani in his poetry with the theme of modern life by describing the main idea or theme, elements of feeling or emotion, and style of language based on aspects of diction or choice of words, syntax or sentence structure, and rhetorical aspects or meaning. . This article is a literature study which is analytically descriptive in nature by referring to the text of Nizar Qubbani's poetry as the primary source. The method of data analysis is content analysis with a stylistic approach to examining and analyzing the style of the poem's language. The stylistic theory put forward by Gorys Keraf will be used in understanding the types of diction, and language style based on syntactic aspects and rhetorical aspects or meaning. Poetry with the theme of "life picture" with a diction that maintains aesthetic value is supported by a very strong style of language. The style of language in the poem is very strong in accordance with the characteristics of the neoclassical poetry school pioneered by Nizar Qubbani at that time, free but still strongly holding on to wazan and qafiyah. From the aspect of diction, the words chosen in this poem are quite easy to understand, with a popular word style.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the concept of the word Fasa>d in the Qur'an and the development of its meaning. The approach used is the semantic approach of the Qur'an proposed by Toshihiko Izutsu. The data sources of this research are the verses of the Qur'an which use the word fasa>d and its derivations as well as the verses of the Qur'an which have a similar meaning to the word fasa>d. The steps taken by the researcher in collecting data are as follows: First, collecting the verses of the Qur'an that contain the word fasa>d. Second, classifying verses. Third, analyzing the word fasa>d using focus word techniques, keywords, basic meanings, and relational meanings, synchronic and diachronic meanings, semantic fields, and weltanschauung, Fourth, drawing messages from the Qur'an. Fifth, drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the word fasa>d with its various derivations is repeated 50 times in the Qur'an. Syntagmatically It means disobedience, destruction, drought/ withholding of rain, murder, corruption, and sorcerers, while paradigmatically, fasa>d has similarities with the words Syarr, Halaka or ahlaka , 'As\a>, Bat{ala , Sa>'a and Z}alama . Words that are opposite to the word fasa>d are As}laha, Ah}sana, Khair and, al-h}aqqu. This study also shows that even though the word fasa>d has experienced a development or expansion of meaning, it still refers to a single meaning, namely deviating from the path and containing a negative meaning.

Abstract

The research departs from the problem that the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Mengajar (MBKM) curriculum requires the principle of independent learning to be implemented in the management of education and learning. Meanwhile, the position of the Arabic subject at SMP Takhassus Al-Qur'an Wonosobo includes local content, the school's particular scientific core. In addition, the Arabic at the school has a specific orientation and learning outcomes. The paper aims to discuss and describe the management of the MBKM curriculum for the Arabic subject at Takhassus Al-Qur'an Middle School including planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the curriculum, and obstacles and efforts to overcome the barriers in the implementation of the curriculum management. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with case studies—data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. The research subjects were deputy head 1 of curriculum and Arabic teachers. The results of his research stated that the implementation of the Merdeka Learning curriculum for Arabic subjects had carried out an educational management flow that was by its stages, namely planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising. Even so, the obstacles in the implementation of the curriculum as the quality of education still encounter obstacles. These constraints require schools to apply the Free Learning curriculum with the principle of adaptation.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the use of the Internet and its advantages and disadvantages in teaching Arabic. The method used is the qualitative. The results of the research were the use of the Internet in teaching the Arabic language through 1) search for materials and science sources, 2) a distance learning device, and 3) the assessment method in education. The benefits of the Internet in teaching Arabic appeared as follows: 1) the distribution of education to all students across country, 2) the learning process is not limited by time, 3) the possibility of choosing subjects or materials according to desires of teachers and students, 4) the duration of study was effective, 5) the materials are accurate and up-to-date. The disadvantages of the Internet in teaching Arabic are 1) the difficulty in controlling and monitoring students, 2) addiction addiction and 3) a high cost to access internet.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and investigate Arabic and grammar learning at the Darussakinah Batu Bersurat Islamic Boarding School from 2005 to 2017 and from 2018 to now and to compare aspects of progress in learning Arabic from the two periods. The method used is the descriptive qualitative method, with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the progress of learning Arabic at the Darussakinah Batu Bersurat Islamic Boarding School is contained in several aspects; namely, aspects of the purpose of Arabic learning objectives, the textbooks used, the learning process, and the learning methods used. The purpose of learning Arabic at the Darussakinah Batu Bersurat Islamic Boarding School today is receptive and expressive. The Arabic language textbook uses the target language to accelerate language acquisition. The language of the Arabic grammar textbook uses the students' mother tongue so that Arabic grammar learning is effective and efficient. Teachers use varied learning methods to make learning not boring. The process of learning Arabic grammar in this Islamic boarding school is theoretically applicable by analyzing Arabic texts with the theories studied. Learning like this makes students understand and feel the benefits of learning grammar. The Arabic language learning process emphasizes more aspects of oral and written communication so that students feel the meaning of their lives from the learning carried out; with this meaning, students are active and enthusiastic about learning Arabic.

Abstract

In addition to generating a health catastrophe, the Covid-19 epidemic altered the educational landscape from face-to-face instruction to online learning. University-based online learning also raises stress levels and student enrollment levels. As a result, it appears as though learning is less effective and does not immediately help pupils react to pandemic circumstances. The goal of this study is to determine if Qur'anic Arabic education online may enhance students' worship experiences as well as their Arabic language proficiency. By using a quantitative paradigm and analytical methods including the Paired Sample t-test, Confirmatory Factor Analysis, and Descriptive Analysis, This study demonstrates that online Qur'anic Arabic instruction is efficient in raising students' Arabic proficiency and offers the worship experience student tangible advantages.

Abstract

وجد العديد من مشاكل التعلم في مركز ترقية اللغة العربية، حيث شعر الطلاب بالملل والملل في عملية التعلم. ويهدف هذا البحث إلى معرفة أثر اسخدام طريقة العصف الذهني في ترقية مهارة الكلام. واستخدم هذا البحث النهج الكيفي بالمدخل الوصفي بهدف استكشاف المعلومات حول كفاءة الطلاب المركز في ترقية مهارة الكلام من خلال طريقة العصف الذهني هناك. وتم جمع البيانات باستخدام الملاحظة والمقابلات والوثائق. وقد دلت نتائج هذا البحث هي أن استخدام طريقة العصف الذهني في مركز ترقية اللغة العربية يساعد للطلاب في ترقية مهارة الكلام، بحيث يمكن للطلاب فهم ما يتحدث عنه الشخص الآخر بشكل أفضل، ويتم التحدث بشكل منطقي ومنهجي، ويمكنهم التحدث بوضوح وعلى وجه خاص كمال يمكنهم من التحدث بطلاقة وثلث لأنهم يمارصون الكلام باستخدام طريقة العصف الذهني. الكلمات المفتاحية: طريقة العصف الذهني، مهارة كلام
