Abstract

Masalah utama dalam penelitian ini adalah kurangnya pemahaman orang tua dalam pengasuhan positif, yang berdampak pada optimalisasi perkembangan anak. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas pengetahuan dan keterampilan orang tua dalam pengasuhan serta menyelaraskan pendidikan di sekolah dan di rumah. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif metode studi kasus yang dilakukan di TK Penguin Family Islamic School Bekasi. Data yang diambil menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi yang dianalisis dengan cara pengumpulan data, kondensasi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menggambarkan bahwa adanya dampak positif yang dirasakan baik oleh guru maupun orang tua yaitu adanya perubahan dalam diri mereka berupa peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mendidik dan mengasuh anak usia dini sesuai tahapannya. Pelaksanaan Program Parenting dilakukan setiap bulan dengan metode online dan offline. Hambatan dalam pelaksanaan program ini mencakup kendala waktu dan biaya pada metode luring, serta masalah jaringan internet yang seringkali tidak stabil pada metode daring. Pola pengasuhan orang tua siswa mayoritas bersifat demokratis, meskipun terdapat kombinasi dengan pola otoriter pada aspek-aspek prinsipil, seperti nilai-nilai agama, serta pola demokratis pada aspek non-prinsipil seperti minat dan bakat anak. Dampak positif Program Parenting terlihat pada peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan orang tua dalam mendidik anak sesuai tahapannya, yang membuat orang tua merasa lebih percaya diri dan anak menjadi lebih ceria serta berkembang secara matang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis cara mewujudkan sekolah berwawasan Tri Hita Karana. Urgensi dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan referensi tentang gambaran lingkungan sekolah yang relevan untuk membangun karakter yang sesuai dengan profil pelajar Pancasila. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan. Sumber data dari penelitian ini adalah segala referensi yang berkaitan dengan Tri Hita Karana. Syarat referensi yang digunakan adalah berupa jurnal, makalah, prosiding dan literatur lain baik skala nasional maupun internasional yang terbit dalam kurun waktu 10 (sepuluh) tahun terakhir. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui lima tahapan penelitian mulai dari pengumpulan literatur, seleksi literatur, analisis literature yang terpilih, sintesis dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa sekolah berwawasan Tri Hita Karana dapat diwujudkan dengan cara menerapkan berbagai program pendidikan yang sifatnya rutin dan terencana serta dimulai dari tahapan pembiasaan hingga pembudayaan. Peran keluarga dan masyarakat juga sangat dibutuhkan untuk mensukseskan sekolah berwawasan Tri Hita Karana.

Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian setelah dilakukan hasil pra observasi dilapangan, diperoleh keterangan bahwa siswa kelas II SDN 47 dumbo raya masih banyak siswa-siswi yang belum memperoleh hasil yang maksimal dalam membaca, masih ada siswa yang kurang konsentrasi saat pembelajaran, masih terdapat beberapa siswa yang belum pandai dalam membaca, kebanyakan siswa-siswi masih kurang percaya diri dalam mengungkapkan idenya atau berbicara di depan kelas, dan dalam kegiatan menulis, siswa masih menulis berdasarka teks dan membaca juga masi melihat isi teks.Tujuan peneilitian ini adalah untuk meningkatakan kemampua membaca siswa melalui media bundaran Bahasa Sulawesi pada siswa kelas II SDN 47 Dumbo Raya Kota Gorontalo. Jenis penelitian yang dipakai adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dua siklus, siklus I dna siklus II. Metode penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan melalui empat tahap yakni: tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, tahap pemantauan dan evaluasi serta tahap analisi dan refleksi, dengan jumlah 20 siswa. Hasil observasi awal menunjukan kemampuan membaca siswa masi rendah dengan 6 orang siswa yang mampu atau 30% sedangkan siswa yang tidak mampu 14 siswa atau 70%. Hasil penelitan ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan membaca siswa dapat ditingkatkan melalui media pembelajaran bundaran bahasa sulawesi, pada siklus I pertemuan 1 meningkat menjadi 9 orang yang mampu atau 45% yang tidak mampu 11 orang atau 55% dan pada pertemuan 2 meningkat menjadi 13 orang yang mampu atau 65% yang tidak mampu 7 orang atau 34 % sedangkan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 18 orang yang mampu atau 90% yang tidak mampu 2 orang atau 10%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan media bundaran bahasa Sulawesi kemampuan membaca siswa di kelas II SDN 47 Dumbo Raya Kota Gorontalo meningkat.

Abstract

The main issue in this research is how to determine the dominant type of motivation perceived by junior high school students in learning English, and how the factors of self-satisfaction and obligation shape students' intrinsic and extrinsic motivation in the process of learning English. The research aims to know the dominant motivation type perceived by junior high schools in learning English and how self-satisfaction and obligation shape the students’ intrinsic and extrinsic motivation to learn English. This research employed a mixed method that combines the quantitative and qualitative data. The researchers used a closed-ended questionnaire and semi-structured interview to gather the data. The data from the questionnaire were analyzed by calculating the mean of each statement. The Likert scale was applied to assess the level and type of student's motivation to learn English. At the same time, the interview data were analyzed. The participants of this research were 60 students of SMP N 1 Selopampang Temanggung. The findings showed the students’ extrinsic motivation to learn English is at a high level, while the students’ intrinsic motivation is at a moderate level. Moreover, intrinsic motivation is influenced by self-satisfaction and excitement. However, extrinsic motivation is a combination of control regulation style and self-satisfaction. Hence obligation is the factor that can drive the individual to self-satisfaction. The finding of this research would impact the teacher in teaching media, material, and strategies selected to increase the student's learning motivation and reduce the students' learning loss.

Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu strategi pembelajaran yang tidak mempertimbangkan karakteristik materi dan peserta didik menyebabkan rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Penelitian ini ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dampak penerapan model pembelajaran project based learning yang diintegrasikan dengan pendekatan Science, Enviroment, Technology and Society (SETS) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa SMK pada tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Penelitian ini mengadopsi desain eksperimental semu (Quasi Experimental Design) dengan menggunakan The Matching-Only Posttest-Only Control Group Design. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMK N 1 Sidayu Gresik, melibatkan dua kelas XI APHPi sebagai sampel. Kelas XI APHPi 2 berfungsi sebagai kelompok eksperimen yang menerapkan model project based learning dengan pendekatan SETS, sementara kelas XI APHPi 1 bertindak sebagai kelompok kontrol yang hanya menerapkan model project based learning. Setiap kelas terdiri dari 30 siswa. Analisis data meliputi uji prasyarat (normalitas dan homogenitas) serta uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa penggunaan model project based learning dengan pendekatan SETS memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dalam konteks materi olahan produk diversifikasi hasil perikanan. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil uji-t yang menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,00 < 0,05. Kelompok eksperimen menunjukkan tingkat kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok kontrol, dengan rata-rata skor 88,87 berbanding 80,18. Berdasarkan temuan ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model project based learning dengan pendekatan SETS merupakan alternatif yang efektif bagi pendidik untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan.

Abstract

The main issue in this study is the lack of comprehensive understanding and mapping of the patterns and progress in ethnoscience research within the context of chemistry education in Indonesia. Investigating the patterns and advancements in ethnoscientific research in Indonesian chemistry education is the aim of this study. This study uses a bibliometric technique and is quantitative descriptive in nature. he stages include Selection of Topic and Research Objectives, Data Collection, Data Cleaning and Processing, Data Analysis, Data Visualisation, Interpretation and Discussion. Data collection was carried out by searching for journal articles indexed by Google Scholar through Publish or Perish (PoP) with the keyword ‘chemical ethnoscience’. Data from Publish or Perish (PoP) was filled in and completed in the author's keywords section manually using Mendeley desktop software then integrated into VOSviewer software for mapping. The results of the analysis of keyword mapping in Google Scholar indexed scientific articles from 2014-2024, it is known that in the last 10 years, there are 137 keywords that are interrelated. The top 7 keywords with the strongest links include: ethnoscience (40), chemical literacy (9), chemistry learning (6), chemistry (4), problem based learning (4), local wisdom (3), STEM (3). Recent keywords in chemistry education that are still rarely discussed in scientific articles are podcast-based ethnoscience, common knowledge construction, chemical bonding, CKCM learning model, Flipped Classroom, knowledge, references, implementation, culture, character values, ethnoscience-based chemistry, need analysis, independent curriculum, 4-D development.

Abstract

The main issues in this research are how to integrate local wisdom into chemistry learning, its impact on students' understanding and skills, the challenges faced in its implementation, and the potential of local wisdom as a resource to improve the quality of chemistry education. The purpose of this study is to analyse the implementation of ethnoscience in chemistry learning at school. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method with a literature review approach to examine local wisdom in learning chemistry through an ethnoscience approach. The steps taken in this research are determining the topic and problem formulation, data collection, literature analysis, synthesis of findings and preparation of conclusions. The results showed that the integration of local wisdom into chemistry learning has shown a positive impact on students' skills and understanding. Several studies have highlighted the importance of incorporating local wisdom as it has the potential to increase students' interest and motivation in learning chemistry. Students become more engaged and active in the learning process when they see the relevance of chemistry materials to their daily lives. The implementation of ethnoscience in chemistry learning in schools has many potential benefits, but still faces various challenges. Teachers face various challenges in implementing ethnoscience, including lack of resources and supportive teaching materials, lack of training and support from the school, as well as difficulties in adapting the existing curriculum to the ethnoscience approach.

Abstract

The main issue of this research is to explore students' perceptions of the key strengths of Universitas Terbuka in implementing distance education, specifically related to flexibility, affordability, interaction, accessibility, and distance learning skills in the Selayar Islands Regency. The present study aims to delve into student perception of the key strengths of Universitas Terbuka that become the standards by which its endeavors of distance education are carried out. Adopting a descriptive quantitative method, the study gathered data using a questionnaire in which five variables were measured, i.e., flexibility, affordability, interaction, accessibility, and distance-learning skills. The 5-point scale questionnaire was created in Google Forms and was distributed to the whole student population of Universitas Terbuka in Selayar Islands Regency through Study Groups. The data from the student questionnaire was assessed using a descriptive statistical method in SPSS 20. Based on the descriptive statistic findings from a total of 48 questionnaires, the mean that stands for the student perception of the five variables is 4.37 for flexibility, 4.34 for affordability, 4.35 for interaction, 4.45 for accessibility, and 4.31 for distance-learning skills. These findings lead to a noticeable conclusion; Universitas Terbuka has mobilized education and reached out to remote learners in small islands in an effective manner. In turn, this potentially informs policy discussions as to improve the roles of Universitas Terbuka in extending educational opportunities and services for underprivileged rural communities that particularly suffer from low educational attainment.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of the Picture and Picture learning model on student engagement and academic performance in Social Studies among Grade IV students at SD Inpres Paccinongan, Gowa Regency. Low student engagement in the learning process and suboptimal academic performance are key issues faced in primary education. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a Nonequivalent Control Group methodology. The study population consisted of Grade IV students from two classes, with a total sample of 48 students selected using random sampling techniques. Data were collected through observations and tests, then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The results indicated that the Picture and Picture learning model had a significant positive effect on student engagement and academic performance. The significance values for student activity (p = 0.040) and learning outcomes (p = 0.016) were both below the standard alpha level of 0.05, indicating the effectiveness of this model in enhancing student engagement and their academic results. These findings provide evidence that the application of a visual-based learning model, such as Picture and Picture, can be an effective solution to address low student engagement and learning outcomes in Social Studies education at the primary school level. The adoption of this learning paradigm is recommended to be expanded in Social Studies education at primary schools to improve the overall quality of education and academic performance of students.

Abstract

The main issue in this study is that many students still have difficulty integrating theory with practice, particularly at the stages of data visualization and interpretation. This study aims to explore students' understanding of data collection and analysis techniques in research statistics courses through the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PJBL) method. A qualitative descriptive approach was used in this study, involving 22 students from the Chemistry Education Program. Students were applied to each stage of PJBL, namely: (1) Determining the Main Question, (2) Compiling a Project Plan, (3) Collecting and Analyzing Data, (4) Compiling Results and Interpretation, and (5) Project Evaluation. The results showed that students demonstrated a good understanding at the initial stages, such as Determining the Main Question and Compiling a Project Plan, which reflects their ability to understand and design the data analysis process. At more complex stages, such as Data Collection and Analysis and Compiling Results and Interpretation, it was found that some students had difficulty connecting the analysis results with the research context. Students' reflections during the Project Evaluation phase indicated that they were aware of the challenges they faced, such as the in-depth understanding of data visualization and interpretation techniques, as well as the importance of applying theory to practice. This study highlights the importance of the PJBL approach in supporting experiential learning to enhance students' understanding of research statistical techniques. Through in-depth exploration, this study provides insights into the learning challenges and the potential of project-based learning strategies to enhance students' research skills in higher education.
