Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of technological innovation, environmental awareness, and price on the purchase intention of electric motorcycles in Medan City. The research employs a quantitative approach with a causal research design. The population consists of residents of Medan City who use electric motorcycles, and the sample was determined using random sampling, resulting in one hundred respondents. Data were collected through observation and questionnaires. The data analysis includes validity testing, reliability testing, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, partial tests (t-tests), and simultaneous tests (F-tests) using IBM SPSS Statistics version 23. The results show that partially technological innovation has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention for electric motorcycles, environmental awareness also positively influences consumers’ intention to buy, and price is identified as a significant and positive factor that affects consumers’ purchasing decisions. Simultaneously, these three variables strongly influence the increase in purchase intention for electric motorcycles in Medan City. These findings indicate that technological innovation, environmental awareness, and price are essential components in developing strategies to expand the electric vehicle market in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study explores financial resilience strategies for integrated electricity service providers in navigating global turbulence, including regulatory pressures and energy transition, cyber threats, exchange rate volatility, and disruptions in primary energy supply chains. The analysis integrates the Risk Maturity Index (RMI) and Business Impact Analysis (BIA) based on ISO 22301 standards—commonly applied to operational aspects, but in this study extended to financial dimensions. The research employs a mixed approach: quantitative descriptive methods and qualitative inquiry through case studies, interviews, observations, document analysis, stress testing, risk heat mapping, and scenario sensitivity testing. The findings indicate that the company remains at a low level of risk maturity (RMI 2.4 – developing phase) and faces significant strategic risks in liquidity, tariff setting, infrastructure reliability, and cybersecurity. Applying financial BIA provides a clearer risk landscape, identifies crisis triggers, and formulates recovery strategies that enhance business continuity capabilities. The study recommends strengthening asset management, improving human resource capacity, and exploring financial instruments for risk mitigation. Overall, these findings contribute to the development of a comprehensive risk management model that is particularly relevant for strategic public service enterprises.

Abstract

This research aims to analyse the role of job crafting, work autonomy, and psychological empowerment in increasing innovative work behaviour among technology startup employees in Indonesia. The research population includes employees working in various technology startup companies, with a sample of 200 respondents selected using purposive sampling techniques to ensure representation of individuals directly involved in innovation-based work processes. Data was collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using quantitative methods with a Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) approach to test the relationship between variables. The research results show that job crafting and psychological empowerment positively and significantly affect innovative work behaviour. This research also confirms that work autonomy does not significantly influence innovative work behaviour. These findings confirm that when employees can adapt their tasks, gain autonomy in decision making, and feel psychologically empowered, they are more likely to generate new ideas that support organizational growth. Theoretically, this research enriches the literature regarding the determinants of innovative work behaviour in the context of startups in Indonesia.

Abstract

The development of the food, beverage, and tobacco processing industry represents a key indicator of regional economic dynamics. This study examines changes in industrial structure and performance in Kupang City during the 2021–2024 period. The research population consists of all 1,913 processing industry business units operating in Kupang City, employing a total of 5,616 workers. A census approach was applied to analyze the entire population. Secondary data were obtained from official publications of Statistics Indonesia (BPS), the Ministry of Industry, and regional economic reports. Data analysis employed a quantitative descriptive method using trend analysis, tables, graphical illustrations, and annual growth rate calculations. The findings indicate a substantial increase in the number of enterprises from 1,107 units in 2021 to 1,913 units in 2024, with the most pronounced expansion occurring in 2023. Employment absorption rose from 3,260 to 5,616 workers over the same period. Investment value reached IDR 148.56 billion, while production value amounted to IDR 164.69 billion, reflecting strengthened production capacity and heightened investor confidence. Sectoral growth was driven by supportive government policies, MSME expansion, technological adoption, and rising market demand, although constraints related to raw material availability and infrastructure remain. These results provide empirical evidence to support local government strategies aimed at reinforcing the processing industry in the future. Keywords: processing industry; industrial structure; industrial performance; economic growth; Kupang City.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of macroeconomic factors on the achievement of sustainability indices (Sustainable Development Goals/SDGs) in ASEAN countries. The data used is secondary data in the form of panel data from 10 ASEAN countries for the period 2000–2023. The independent variables include public debt (PD), exchange rate (ER), foreign direct investment (FDI), trade openness (TO), global inflation rate (GIR), and economic crisis (EC). The study uses panel data regression analysis with a fixed effects approach. The model selection is based on the Chow, LM, and Hausman tests. Then, the cluster-robust standard error method was used to overcome the problems of heteroscedasticity and autocorrelation. The results showed that public debt, global inflation rate, and economic crisis had a negative and significant effect on sustainability (SDGs index). Meanwhile, exchange rate, trade openness, and FDI had a positive and significant effect on sustainability (SDGs index).
