Abstract

As a reflection of tourist behavior in online spaces such as live streaming on social media, there has been an increase in engagement with stickiness behavior. Stickiness describes the level of user attention in participating in live streaming services through the creation of trust transfer. Based on a social system approach and trust transfer, this study develops a research model to understand how live streaming services influence user stickiness. This study collected data from 263 valid respondents and analyzed it using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that social factors, namely interaction and identification, each have a significant influence on trust in the streamer. Additionally, trust transfer was found to enhance user stickiness in the form of visit duration and retention in live streaming on social media. However, trust in the streamer does not have a significant relationship with increasing user retention. These findings expand the theoretical framework by integrating a social system approach with trust transfer and its impact on tourist stickiness behavior in live streaming platforms. This study contributes to the advancement of tourism development by providing insights into live streaming platforms, emphasizing the importance of features that can enhance engaging experiences for both viewers and potential tourists. This study has several limitations that can serve as guidelines for future research, particularly in further exploring the crucial role of the socio-technical approach in investigating user behavior, specifically tourist stickiness.

Abstract

The sandwich generation refers to working-age individuals who simultaneously bear financial responsibilities for both their aging parents and their children. This phenomenon is increasingly prevalent in Indonesia, particularly among private sector employees, due to rising costs of living, education, and healthcare. Low levels of financial literacy further exacerbate the challenges, making effective financial planning increasingly urgent. This study aims to analyze the influence of income, expenses, and savings on financial planning effectiveness among the sandwich generation in Medan City. A quantitative approach was applied through the distribution of questionnaires to respondents aged 23–50 who qualified as part of this demographic. The results indicate that income and savings have a positive and significant effect on financial planning effectiveness, whereas expenses show no significant influence. These findings emphasize the importance of income management and saving habits in achieving household financial resilience. The study recommends strengthening financial literacy and leveraging digital financial technologies as strategies to enhance long-term economic stability for the sandwich generation.

This study applies a descriptive qualitative approach in exploring the crucial stages of the land acquisition process, which includes the planning phase, the preparation stage, the implementation of activities, and the final handover process. In addition, the study also explores the application of the policy in the context of infrastructure projects, particularly in terms of managing the public interest, handling operational obstacles, This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach to analyze the stages of land acquisition, from planning to handover. The study results show that proper implementation of land acquisition policies can accelerate the infrastructure development process. Therefore, a review of the Land Acqusition Planning Document Dokumen Perencanaan Pengadaan Tanah/ DPPT) is needed as mandated by Government Regulation No. 39 of 2023. In addition, solid inter-agency coordination and in-depth understanding of applicable regulations are key to successful implementation. The recommendations from this study are expected to strengthen the government's role in the provision of land for the public interest and support sustainable development for the welfare of the community.

Abstract

The phenomenon of high rates of driver-partner migration from one platform to another is an important concern for application-based transportation service providers. This study aims to analyze the impact of work-life balance, organizational commitment, and rewards on turnover intention in online transportation driver-partners in Indonesia. Quantitative methods were used in this study by collecting data through questionnaires to 150 driver-partners from various major cities in Indonesia. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques to determine the effect of each independent variable on turnover intention. The results of the study indicate that work-life balance, organizational commitment, and rewards have a significant positive and significant effect on turnover intention, meaning that the better the balance of work, organizational commitment and personal life and the incentives received by drivers, the lower their desire to leave the platform. These findings provide practical implications for online transportation service providers to design driver-partner retention strategies with a focus on improving work welfare and providing appropriate rewards, in order to create a more stable and sustainable working relationship

Abstract

MSMEs are the backbone of the national economy, but many still face obstacles in financial management, access to funding, and innovation competitiveness. Therefore, understanding the factors that drive improved MSME performance is very important to support inclusive economic growth. This study aims to analyze the effect of financial literacy, utilization of financial technology (Fintech), and innovation capabilities on the performance of MSMEs in Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative approach using survey data collected from MSME actors in various regions and sectors in Indonesia. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to test the direct and indirect relationships between constructs. The results of the study indicate that the three independent variables have a positive and significant effect on MSME performance. This finding implies that increasing financial literacy, adoption of financial technology, and strengthening innovation are crucial in increasing the competitiveness and sustainability of MSMEs in the digital economy era. The government and other stakeholders are advised to develop integrated training programs and policy support that encourage the integration of technology and innovation in the MSME ecosystem. Thus, MSMEs in Indonesia can be more adaptive to market dynamics and contribute more optimally to national economic development.

Abstract

In today's digital era, marketing strategies that rely on the power of rapid message dissemination through social media and consumer networks play an important role in shaping customer perceptions and behaviour. This study examines the relationship model between viral marketing, electronic word-of-mouth (e-WOM), and customer trust towards customer loyalty on the Lokaloka platform, a digital marketplace operating in the creative industry sector. A quantitative approach was used in this study by distributing questionnaires to 200 respondents who are active users of the Lokaloka platform. Data analysis used the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method to test the direct and indirect relationships between variables. The results of the data analysis show that viral marketing, e-WOM, and customer trust have a significant influence on customer loyalty. The implications of this study indicate that creative industry platform managers such as Lokaloka need to strengthen community-based marketing strategies and content that is easily shared virally, as well as encourage positive interactions between users through e-WOM. In addition, building and maintaining customer trust is key to creating long-term loyalty. These findings are expected to contribute to developing a more effective digital marketing model in the Indonesian creative industry sector.

Abstract

This research examines Indonesia's strategic reaction to global value chain (GVC) disruptions via export tariff reforms under President Prabowo Subianto's administration. This research utilises a narrative literature analysis to combine findings from peer-reviewed journals, policy documents, and institutional reports published from 2014 to 2024. The study reveals that whereas tariff liberalisation seeks to improve export competitiveness, its efficacy is limited by non-tariff barriers, deficiencies in digital infrastructure, and institutional fragmentation. Compared to regional counterparts like Vietnam and Thailand, Indonesia's inward-oriented trade policy may restrict its inclusion into high-value areas of global value chains. The investigation is confined to secondary sources, providing conceptual insights instead of causal assertions. It underscores the necessity for synchronised reforms, including logistical modernisation, digital preparedness, and conformity with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria. This study enhances the discussion on trade policy adjustment in emerging economies in the context of increasing global uncertainty
