Abstract

This study aims to find out the differences in the effect of the quantum learning model with the mind map method and the Jigsaw cooperative learning model on students with various levels of creativity. The subjects of this study were students of class X IPA 1 at SMAN I Subob - Situbondo and class X IPA 1 at SMAN 1 Besuki - Situbondo. This research is an experimental research. Data collection techniques through tests and observations. Data were analyzed using Two Way ANOVA. The results of the data analysis show that: (1) The learning outcomes of students who have high creativity are better than the learning outcomes of students with low creativity, (2) The learning outcomes of students with high creativity are better in quantum teaching learning with the mind mapping method than with the Jigsaw method, (3) There is a positive interaction between student creativity and learning models on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Research on the relationship between learning motivation and academic procrastination in class X students of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Jember for the 2021-2022 academic year involved 205 students out of a total of 432 students who selected by random sampling method. Based on the results of data analysis, it found that students' learning motivation was in the moderate category as much as 52%, while students' academic procrastination was in the moderate category as much as 61%. The results of analysis the Pearson Product Moment correlation show relationship between the two variables. The correlation coefficient is negative (r = -0.477), which indicates a non-unidirectional relationship. The result of comparison of the significant level (p value) is 0.00, which means p value is less than 0.05 (the specified level of significance). Therefore, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, which states that is a relationship between learning motivation and students' academic procrastination.

Abstract

This research is a causal study (correlation) with 33 students of class IX in the odd semester of the 2014–2015 academic year at Al Muttaqin Middle School, Kec. Patrang Jember. The following are the findings of this study: (1) Powerpoint media and learning motivation affect the learning achievement of class IX students of SMP Al Muttaqin because Fcount (14.529) > Ftable (3.32) and its significance value is 0.000. Considering that the coefficient of multiple determination (R2) is 0.492 (49.2%) and is influenced by other variables of 50.8%, the influence of PowerPoint media and learning motivation on improving student achievement is not too significant. (2) The importance of student motivation in determining academic success.

Abstract

After learning Indonesian sentences, it can be concluded that students are less focused on learning. When the researcher explained the material, some students were not interested in listening to the explanation. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the Cooperative Learning learning model using video media to increase learning motivation. This Class Action Research was conducted in 2 cycles. Based on The test results obtained at the end of each cycle, shows that there is a significant increase in Indonesian learning outcomes. Starting from the pre-cycle, initially 22.22% achieved completeness or above the KKM, then in cycle, I there was an increase of 66.67%, and in cycle II there was an increase of 88.89% in fulfilling the KKM. So it can be concluded that the use of cooperative learning models with video media can increase student motivation.

Abstract

This research aimed to show the impact of the Visual Image strategy on the students’ speaking skills at 10th grade at one of the private schools in Jember. The design of research used was quasi-experimental by forming 2 groups, Its Control, and Experimental group. To investigate the effectiveness of the visual image strategy, the researcher conducted an oral test with the first step is giving 2-3 treatments to the experimental group, then the researcher conducted a post-test to the control and experimental group which finally the scores of the two groups were compared through three steps (T-Table, T-test, and DRE). The results of this study can be input and motivation for teachers to determine students' speaking skills and can apply this strategy to learning English in the classroom.

Abstract

The researcher could analyse the student difficulties on reading comprehension of in advance level of English. The aim of this study is to explore student’s accounts and experiences to find difficulties which related to perceptions and experiences. The data gathered by interview and by in depth analysing showed that the difficulties were around improving knowledge content, building vocabulary, phrase, pronunciation, and getting the meaning or texts to contexts. There were various aspects influence this situation; the meaning of word of sentence, background knowledge, academic vocabulary, and finding of topic on text.

Abstract

The development of media technology has a significant impact on individual perceptions of LGBT, especially in the era of society 5.0. The development of LGBT deviant behavior is very worried by the community, considering that lately more and more young generations have been exposed to this deviant behavior. This study aims to get an overview of the impact of technological developments on the perception of LGBT individuals. This study uses library research.  Literature research involves theoretical research and reference references that are inseparable from scientific literature. Data collection uses the documentation method by reading related literature sources. The analysis uses descriptive analysis. The results of this study show that the development of media technology has a significant impact on the perception of LGBT individuals, especially in the era of society 5.0. The development of media platforms, such as social media platforms, has played a crucial role in shaping the perception of LGBT individuals and their experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to present a review of the literature on the influence of a humanistic approach in the development of children's learning. The humanistic approach emphasizes the importance of understanding and respecting individuals in learning contexts, which can influence various aspects of child development. Through analysis of various relevant literature sources, this study identified several positive impacts of a humanistic approach on children's learning development, including increased intrinsic motivation, active involvement, deeper understanding of concepts, development of social skills, and increased learning independence. In addition, a humanistic approach can also improve the relationship between teachers and students, create an inclusive learning environment, and increase learning satisfaction. The results of this study can provide useful insights for educators, parents and education practitioners in understanding the importance of a humanistic approach in promoting holistic and sustainable learning development in children.

Abstract

The transition period from childhood to adulthood is called adolescence. In determining the age of adolescents, there are still many opinions that are not relevant because there are so many differences of opinion. The physical, psychological, and psychosocial aspects at this age are used as a marker of changes in the age of children towards adulthood. Recognizing self-identity in the social sphere and the world of work is one of the tasks in the adolescent stage, namely at the age of 12-20 years. Abstract

Learning motivation is a key factor in the success of student learning at school. This study aims to examine the effect of reinforcement on students' learning motivation at school. This study uses library research and literature study methods, namely research that is the object of study using library data, analyzing journals, books, and studying previous research. This research provides recommendations for teachers and schools to pay attention to the use of reinforcement strategies in supporting student learning motivation. Teachers can provide constructive feedback, reward student achievements, and provide consistent positive encouragement to maintain and increase student learning motivation. Schools can support these efforts by creating policies and environments that support the application of reinforcement in the learning process
