Abstract

Previous studies have shown a relationship between secure attachment and marital quality in married couples. However, the correlation between secure attachment and marital quality shows varying results. This meta-analysis aims to evaluate the relationship between secure attachment and marital quality for married couples by revealing how true r is and the effect size of the correlation between the two variables. This meta-analysis research identified 15 studies that he considered eligible, with a total sample of 4.840. The results of the analysis confirm that there is a positive correlation between secure attachment and the quality of marriage in married individuals at a strong level with 95% CI [0,401; 1,053]. The heterogeneity test showed good results, and there was no publication bias.

Abstract

Women have options and opportunities to improve perinatal conditions. This scoping review aims to explore studies related to the personal growth of women during perinatal as a baseline for determining the focus for further research. The search found 10 publications met the inclusion criteria. The identified themes include three main themes, namely: 1) the developmental period of personal growth; 2) influencing factors; and 3) measuring tools used. Perinatal can be viewed as both a normative and a stressful event, in which both conditions have the opportunity to develop personal growth. The characteristics of the subjective experience associated with the event play an important role in the development of personal growth, not the event itself.

Abstract

Intellectual disability is a disorder during a period of development characterized by deficits in conceptual, social, and practical aspects of daily life. The forward chaining technique is a chaining method in which each activity is arranged coherently and becomes a small series by teaching the first steps to success. The study aims to investigate the effectiveness of forward chaining technique in improving the teeth-brushing ability in children with mild intellectual disability. The hypothesis is that the chaining technique with forward chaining method is effective in improving the teeth-brushing ability in children with mild intellectual disability. The research method was a quasi-experiment with one group pretest-posttest design, using the purposive sampling technique with the criteria of children with mild intellectual disability, aged 6-11 years, experiencing barriers to intellectual functions, being adaptive, and unable to brush their teeth. Data was collected using assessment, observation and interviews. The assessment test tools were the CPM and Binet tests. The instrument was an observation sheet. Data were analyzed using the Paired Sample t-Test with a result of 0.04, so the Ha was accepted. It is concluded that the forward chaining technique is effective in significantly improving the teeth-brushing ability in children with mild intellectual disability.

Abstract

The Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ) is a scale to measure a person's level of mindfulness. FFMQ has been used extensively in other countries. In multi-construct research, a scale with fewer items is needed but with a qualified psychometric value. The purpose of this study was to obtain a short version of the Indonesian FFMQ which has good psychometric properties. The research was carried out in three stages, namely the adaptation stage, the long form test stage and then the short form test. The sample of this study is Indonesian people who are over 15 years old. The results show that the short form has shown good results. This indicates that the short form version of FFMQ Indonesia has good psychometric properties.

Abstract

Students who migrate and do not migrate have significant differences in characteristics in the fulfillment of early adult tasks. In this case, Perceived Social Support (PSS) plays an important role in helping students overcome stress, strengthen independence, and improve psychological well-being. The researcher then felt compelled to conduct research on this phenomenon in active students in the Yogyakarta area, where the city is a center for students with varied backgrounds. The purpose of this study is to find differences in perceived social support in overseas & local students, measure the level of PSS of overseas students, measure the level of PSS in local students, and identify low scores on PSS scale items as material for self-development training. The type and design of the research used is a quantitative approach using a comparational method. There were 105 respondents involved, all of whom were active students in Yogyakarta. Data collection contained 2 types of questionnaires, namely: 1) Open questionnaire to determine the regional origin of the respondents, and 2) A closed questionnaire in the form of a Likert Scale that serves to measure PSS items. Because the assumption results were not met, the researcher used the Mann Whitney non-parametric t-test. The results of this study are: 1) There is no significant difference in PSS between groups of overseas and local students; 2) The average PSS level of overseas students tends to be in the high category; 3) The PSS level of local students tends to be in the high category; 4) There are 4 questionnaire items with low scores identified, so the guidance topic that can be proposed is themed “Me & Them: Social & Personal Boundaries

This research is a quantitative research type, the research subjects were 105 student respondents. Data collection tools are self-control scale, nomopobhia scale and cyberslacking scale. Data analysis has been done with Moderated Regression Analysis technique. The results showed that self-control has a direct effect on cyberslacking, while nomophobia does not moderate the effect of self-control on cyberslacking.

Abstract

Based on data from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Social Service in 2020, in the Jakarta Capital Region, there were around 221 street children. The current condition of street children tends to be negative, they are familiar with violence, crime, bullying, theft, and harassment. This condition shows a low level of self-control in street children. Low self-control is the effect of the harsh street environment, where street children are required to provide for and defend themselves in street life, which makes it difficult for them to exercise control over themselves. This research was conducted using a questionnaire aimed at 92 street children, aged 10-12 years, who live in the Jakarta area. The scale of aggressiveness refers to Buss & Perry (agression questionnaire), and the self-control scale refers to the scale developed by Tangney, Baumeister & Boone, which states that there are five scopes of self-control. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a role for self-control towards aggressiveness in street children aged 10-12 years in Jakarta. The results showed that self-control has a low negative correlation to aggressiveness (correlation value: -0.243). Then the results of the regression analysis show the role of self-control on the aggressiveness will see from R-value at 0.059 or 5.9%. This score shows that the variation of the self-control variable used in the model can explain 5.9% of the variation in the aggressiveness variable, and the rest is explained by other variables not included in the research model.

Abstract

The first year of college is a transition period from secondary education to higher education. The demand to be an independent learner, as well as the transition from distance learning to face-to-face meetings, can certainly cause academic stress. On the other hand, some factors influence the extent to which students can survive in the face of stress, one of which is self-efficacy. This research aims to look at the relationship between academic self-efficacy and academic stress in first-year students during the pandemic transition period using quantitative methods. The total number of participants in this research was 210 active first-year students. The research instruments used were the Academic Self-Efficacy Scale and the Academic Stress Inventory. The results of research using Spearman's rho correlation test technique show that the variables academic self-efficacy and academic stress (rs = -.667, p < .001) have a significant negative correlation. Thus, the higher the academic self-efficacy, the lower the academic stress experienced by students.
