Diarrhea is a disease that we often encounter in society and in developing countries and is a cause of death in children under five which is usually caused by contaminated food and drink. for drinking habits. poor clean living. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between maternal knowledge and attitudes and the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers in the pediatric inpatient ward at Immanuel Hospital, Bandung. This research is a quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique for this research was accidental sampling with a total sample of 64 mother respondents. The research instrument used a questionnaire. The results of univariate analysis show that almost all respondents (71.9%) have good knowledge and almost all respondents (69.7%) have a supportive attitude (Favorable). The results of the bivariate analysis obtained a p-value of 0.03, which is smaller than 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between mother's knowledge and attitudes and the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers in children's inpatient rooms. It is recommended that hospitals can further improve the promotion of disease prevention health services. diarrhea in mothers of toddlers, to increase understanding about diarrheal disease so that recurrent diarrhea does not occur in toddlers which can lead to death.

Abstract

A hemorrhagic stroke occurs when a blood vessel in the brain bursts, causing bleeding in the brain tissue. A hemorrhagic stroke can have a significant impact on the patient. Family support has been shown to influence the success of treatment for hemorrhagic stroke patients. Therefore, Family support is substantial and linked to achieving patient independence. Homeless stroke patients typically receive minimal care and have high mortality rates. This paper aims to review the implementation of care for homeless patients with hemorrhagic stroke in a public hospital in Jakarta. This article is a case report of a homeless 65-year-old man with decreased consciousness who was diagnosed with hemorrhagic stroke. The data were obtained by physical assessment. Several diagnostic tests were performed, including CT scan, MRI, and blood tests. A student nurse working one shift per day provided nursing care for three days. The patient had limb paralysis and drowsiness. The priority diagnoses were ineffective cerebral tissue perfusion, impaired physical mobility, and deficits in self-care. Nursing care focuses on the patient's consciousness and fulfilling basic needs. After 3 days of care, the patient was still unconscious. However, there were no symptoms of increased intracranial pressure. Family participation is necessary for the care of patients with hemorrhagic stroke. The nurse's role as a caregiver becomes primary and crucial for homeless patients who have no family.

Abstract

The anxiety of mothers who have children with hemophilia can be overcome in various ways, including daily journal writing therapy. The research aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing a daily journal in reducing the anxiety of mothers who have children with hemophilia at HMHI Riau: quantitative research type, quasi-experimental design, one group pre-test post-test—carried out the research from January to June 2023. Samples were taken using a total population technique of 25 respondents. The research instrument used the HARS (Hamilton et al.), which consists of 14 items. This research has passed ethical test no. 067/STIKES PN/KEPK/V/2023. Before the intervention, respondents filled out personal and anxiety data questionnaires. Then, respondents were given a notebook to write down what they felt every day, and their anxiety level was measured again. The research results showed that the average level of maternal anxiety decreased by (7.56%) before the intervention (27.00) and after the intervention (19.44), p-value 0.000 < 0.05. So, H0 was rejected, which means that the daily journal is effective in reducing the anxiety level of mothers who have hemophilic children at HMHI Riau. The research results showed that the majority of respondents had the same anxiety both before and after the intervention, namely feeling afraid about their thoughts about their children; they are worried that their child will experience injury or bleeding during their daily activities. It recommended that future researchers create a digital program to overcome anxiety in mothers with hemophilia.

Abstract

One of the therapies used in wound care is the betadine plant to accelerate wound healing. It contains active substances, including flavonoids, tannins, saponins, and alkaloids, which act as antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, and antimicrobials. The type of research carried out was a literature review type. Literature search regarding the potential of betadine plant leaf extract (Jatropha multifida L) for wound healing using Google Scholar, Pubmed, Sci-Hub, and Science Direct. Articles were selected based on exclusion and inclusion criteria, resulting in a sample of 7 articles in Indonesian and English. The research results show that using betadine plants can heal cuts, post-tooth extraction wounds, and chemical burns. Administration is carried out two times a day with a treatment time of 1 to 4 weeks, and evaluation is done twice during the intervention. Wound treatment uses the betadine plant as an alternative therapy, which is helpful for wound healing. It is hoped that the betadine plant can be used as an alternative in wound care and can be applied by the community, especially for DM sufferers.
