<![CDATA[This study aims to describe the forms of figurative language used in Dea Anugrah's Wet Paper poetry. This research uses descriptive analysis method. Data collection uses the technique of observing and noting. Before conducting the research, the first step is reading a collection of Wet Paper poems by Dea Anugrah to find out the style of metaphorical language contained in the poem, then the second step is to record the results of the language style contained in the metaphorical language style in Dea Anugrah's Wet Paper poetry, and after that describe or analyze the meaning. the appropriate metaphorical language style in the Wet Paper poem by Dea Anugrah. The results of the analysis of the research on metaphorical figurative language in the poetry of Kertas Wet by Dea Anugrah are 20 styles of metaphorical language from 13 collections of Kertas Wet poems by Dea Anugrah. <![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) pendeskripsian deiksis persona dalam novel Sebening Syahadat karya Diva Sinar Rembulan, 2) pendeskripsian deiksis penunjuk dalam novel Sebening Syahadat karya Diva Sinar Rembulan, 3) pendeksripsian deiksis tempat dalam novel Sebening Syahadat karya Diva Sinar Rembulan, 4) pendeskripsian deiksis waktu dalam novel Sebening Syahadat karya Diva Sinar Rembulan, 5) pendeskripsian deiksis wacana dalam novel Sebening Syahadat karya Diva Sinar Rembulan, 6) pendeskripsian deiksis sosial dalam novel Sebening Syahadat karya Diva Sinar Rembulan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode deskriptif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu novel Sebening Syahadat karya Diva Sinar Rembulan. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik studi dokumenter. Alat pengumpul data dalam penelitian ini yaitu peneliti sendiri sebagai instrumen kunci dan kartu pencatat data. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan deiksis persona terdapat 155 data, deiksis penunjuk terdapat 11 data, deiksis tempat terdapat 32 data, deiksis waktu terdapat 26 data, deiksis wacana terdapat 20 data, dan deiksis sosial terdapat 60 data. ]]>

<![CDATA[Cerpen adalah bagian dari karya sastra yang menggambarkan berbagai macam kehidupan dalam masyarakat, misalnya dalam kehidupan politik, ekonomi, agama, sosial dan budaya. Permasalahan yang dikaji dalam kedua cerpen ini adalah unsur intrinsik, kebahasaan dan aspek–aspek sosial dalam cerpen Lungun dan Nande Rudang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Metode deskriptif merupakan metode yang digunakan untuk pemecahan masalah yang tampak berdasarkan fakta atau kenyataan yang tampak sebagaimana adanya. Metode deskriptif digunakan peneliti adalah untuk menggambarkan atau mengungkapkan keadaan yang sebenarnya mengenai analisis cerpen yang berjudul Lungun dan Nande Rudang. Dalam cerpen Lungun dan Nande Rudang menggunakan bahasa Indonesia. Namun demikian, terdapat beberapa bahasa yang tampak digunakan dalam kehidupan sehari–hari masyarakat Batak Toba dan bahasa Batak Karo seperti Omak (Ibu), Rudang (Bunga).]]>

<![CDATA[This paper discusses how the identity of a group of students from the Indonesian Literature Study Program at Andalas University, Padang, is constructed through drinking coffee in a coffee shop. Drinking coffee is one activity that is being loved by young people, especially amidst the massive emergence of coffee shops in various parts of the city of Padang. The number of coffee shops in the city of Padang influences the people's culture of drinking coffee. According to Baudrillard's theory of hyperreality, drinking coffee does not only contain use and exchange values, but also contains sign and symbolic values. The activity of drinking coffee is not just quenching thirst and delaying sleepiness, but is also done for the purpose of having fun and strengthening identity. In addition, there is an act of looking at each other and being seen between male students and female students in their behavior drinking coffee in coffee shops. Through filling out a questionnaire conducted by a group of students, it was shown that visiting coffee shops did not necessarily give rise to coffee connoisseurs, but rather as a form of lifestyle for early subjects and popular cultural practices, visiting coffee shops was shown as a fun activity, as well as strengthening one's identity in the world. virtual and real world.]]>

<![CDATA[Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui proses peningkatan kemampuan menulis puisi dan hasil upaya meningkatkan kemampuan menulis puisi melalui Metode Pembelajaran Field Trip. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek dalam penelitian adalah siswa kelas X Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan SMK Karya Setia Pegajahan berjumlah 30 siswa. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah informan, dokumen, dan tempat peristiwa. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses peningkatan kemampuan menulis puisi melalui Metode Pembelajaran Field Trip meningkat setiap siklusnya. Hasil upaya meningkatkan kemampuan menulis puisi melalui Metode Pembelajaran Field Trip meningkat. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah upaya pembelajaran menulis puisi melalui Metode Pembelajaran Field Trip dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis puisi pada siswa kelas X Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan SMK Karya Setia Pegajahan tahun pembelajaran 2022-2023.]]>

<![CDATA[The era of globalization which is marked by the development of progress in all things, including technology and information has made social media an effective and unique means of communication for people in cyberspace. Language as a communication tool is an important and inseparable tool in human life, so it is interesting to study further. The use of language in social media is currently a concern of linguists, ignorance of language use on social media is caused by technology itself and the influence of foreign languages on social media. The facts show that Indonesian words can take on new meanings on social media, besides that a lot of vocabulary is found on social media because of the cause and effect of foreign languages, the purity of the Indonesian language is fading. Therefore, this study aims to describe adolescent language attitudes towards Indonesian in the realm of social media and describe the efforts that can be made to maintain the Indonesian way of speaking in the realm of social media. This study used a quantitative approach, sampling was done using google form and the results of the questionnaire were calculated using the Likert scale method. The results of the study indicate that the attitude of adolescents' language towards Indonesian in the realm of social media is in the positive category. However, awareness of adolescent Indonesian norms still needs further attention. The positive attitude of adolescents shown in the results of this study needs to be maintained and the low level of language attitude in the aspect of norm awareness needs to be improved so that Indonesian language in the digital era is maintained.]]>

<![CDATA[Semiotics is the study of signs (sign). According to Ferdinand De Saussure's semiotic theory, the most important subject of Saussure's theory is the principle that language is a system of signs, and each sign is composed of two parts, namely the signifier and the signified. This study focuses on analyzing the meaning contained in the song lyrics of Soegi Bornean's singles entitled "Semenjana", "Samsara", and "Pijaraya" using descriptive qualitative methods with the aim of describing the meaning contained in the lyrics of the singles. songs by Soegi Bornean entitled "Semenjana", "Samsara", and "Pijaraya". Based on the results of the research, the lyrics of Soegi Bornean's singles entitled Semenjana", "Samsara", and "Pijaraya" contain a very deep meaning of life. The song entitled “Semenjana” teaches us that in life we must instill a simple attitude. In the song "Samsara" there is a message that we must include sincerity in our lives, because sincerity is a symbol of maturity. Whereas the single song entitled "Pijaraya" teaches us to instill goodness and always make calm as a foothold, then happiness will come. In researching the song lyrics of Soegi Bornean's singles, Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotic analysis is used. Saussure's theoretical model focuses more on direct attention to the sign itself.]]>

<![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui instrumen evaluasi yang dapat mengukur kemampuan siswa dalam menerapkan, menganalisis, dan mengevaluasi informasi yang disajikan dalam teks eksplanasi berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) di tingkat SMA pada Kurikulum Merdeka. Penelitian ini terbatas pada analisis instrumen evaluasi untuk materi teks eksplanasi dan tidak mencakup implementasi langsung di lapangan. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif. Langkah-langkah analisis penelitian meliputi 1) Identifikasi standar kompetensi terkait teks eksplanasi pada Kurikulum Merdeka. 2) Penentuan taksonomi Bloom untuk tingkat HOTS yang sesuai dengan materi teks eksplanasi. 3) Pengembangan indikator soal yang mencakup kemampuan menganalisis, mengevaluasi, dan membuat kesimpulan dari teks eksplanasi. 4) Penyusunan soal berdasarkan taksonomi Bloom dan indikator yang telah dikembangkan. Data yang dikaji mencakup proses analisis soal, termasuk identifikasi standar kompetensi, dan pembuatan indikator soal. Hasil temuan dari penelitian ini adalah bank soal materi teks eksplanasi berbasis HOTS terdiri dari 20 soal dan diharapkan guru dapat lebih mudah mengukur dan mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa dalam memahami teks eksplanasi, sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum yang lebih menekankan pada aspek HOTS.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the effect of students' ability to identify language styles on the ability to write inspirational stories. Factors that cause low students' writing skills are due to the lack of students' vocabulary, the difficulty of conveying ideas in writing. and less able to understand the style of language. This study used a quantitative experimental method, with class IX research subjects at SMP N 4 Laguboti T.A 2022/2023, with a total population of 194 students and a sample of 32 people. Determination of the sample using the lottery technique. This type of research design is a pre-experimental design, namely the One Group Pretest-Posttest design which only uses one class for learning. The data collection technique is to give test assignments to students. The results of this study indicate that the activity of identifying language style influences the ability to write inspirational stories, this is evident from the Hypothesis Test which has been carried out with Fcount Ftable or 11.59 2.03. So that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this study is to describe the politeness deviations contained in the speeches of the judges and presenters in the D'academy Asia contest. Therefore this research is descriptive qualitative. The data of this study are in the form of the speeches of the judges and presenters in the D'Academy Asia contest which indicate deviations from the maxim of politeness. The data collection method uses recording techniques, note-taking techniques are followed by transcripts and classifying. The technique of presenting the results of data analysis using informal methods.The results of the study showed deviations from the politeness maxims carried out by the jury including: deviations from the maxims of tact, generosity, modesty, agreement and sympathy. Deviations from the politeness maxim by the speaker include the maxims of wisdom, generosity, appreciation and sympathy.
