Abstract

Digital transformation has brought about significant changes to the world of work, including how individuals balance their time between professional responsibilities and personal lives. The concept of Work-Life Integration (WLI) is becoming increasingly relevant, especially for Generation Z, who grew up in the digital era and have expectations of flexible work arrangements. This study aims to investigate the level of work-life integration (WLI) among Generation Z workers in Indonesia. A non-experimental, quantitative research method was employed, utilizing purposive sampling for data collection. This study used the Work-Life Limits Enactment Scale as an instrument. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 196 working Generation Z respondents. The results showed that the level of WLI among Generation Z fell into the low category, with a mean score of M = 3.79, which is lower than the hypothetical mean. In addition, the Work-to-Life dimension recorded a higher average score (M=4.04) compared to the Life-to-Work dimension (M=3.54). These findings suggest that Generation Z still faces challenges in integrating their work and personal lives amidst the demands of a flexible work system. This condition can be taken into consideration by companies when formulating policies aimed at improving WLI. In addition, a significant difference (t=2.00, p=0.047) was found between the level of WLI and the presence of household assistants, indicating that the level of WLI in Generation Z is higher than that of Generation Z.

The study employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The research subjects consisted of 75 students in Surabaya, selected through a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using the survey method with instruments Revised-Suicide Ideation Scale (R-SIS). Data analysis was conducted using a paired sample t-test. The analysis showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. This finding proves that the workshop "I have Grown Up! What Should I Do?" workshop is effective in reducing the tendency of suicidal ideation in college students.

Abstract

Qur'anic recitation has excellent potential as a psychological therapy method to address mental health issues such as stress, anxiety, and depression. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of recitation through a multidimensional approach in improving individual mental well-being. The method employed is a qualitative literature study involving the analysis of relevant national and international journals. The results showed that Qur'anic recitation contributes to lowering stress levels, improving mindset, and strengthening emotional resilience through spiritual closeness. However, challenges such as a lack of understanding of the verses' meaning and indiscipline in recitation practice are obstacles that need to be overcome. This study recommends a strategy of professional mentoring, the utilization of digital technology, and the strengthening of tilawah-based communities to optimize its effectiveness. The findings reinforce the potential of tilawah as a model of Islamic psychological therapy that can be integrated into modern mental health practices.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of self-regulation in learning on students' resilience at SMA Tunas Harapan Mandiri Rantau Prapat. A quantitative method was used, with 166 students selected through random sampling from a total population of 200. The results showed a significant positive effect of self-regulation on student resilience, with a coefficient of rx2y = 18.072 and p = 0.000 (p < 0.01). The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.870, indicating that 67.10% of students' resilience is influenced by their self-regulation in learning. Additionally, a significant positive relationship was found between self-regulation and peer social support on resilience (r = 0.894; p = 0.000). These findings suggest that the better students' self-regulation, the higher their resilience in facing academic challenges.

Abstract

Labor productivity in Indonesia is facing challenges following the COVID-19 pandemic, one of which is the growing phenomenon of quiet quitting. This phenomenon is one of the phases of disengagement, where employees only complete tasks according to the job description without any extra effort. Previous studies have shown that quiet quitting is becoming increasingly common following the pandemic and is more prevalent among Gen Z than among other generations. Additionally, work disengagement among the Millennial generation is also relatively high. If quiet quitting occurs on a massive scale, it can reduce innovation, increase the workload for engaged employees, and lead to stagnation in organizational growth. Therefore, further research is needed to understand how quiet quitting develops between the two generations. This study aims to describe the level of quiet quitting among Millennials and Gen Z. The research employs a quantitative method with a descriptive design. The sample was obtained through purposive sampling, comprising participants from the Millennial generation (born 1981 - 1996) and Gen Z (born 1997 -2012) who are currently working. Data were collected through an online survey using the Quiet Quitting Scale developed by (Galanis et al., 2023). The QQS measuring instrument consists of 9 items, with a Cronbach's Alpha reliability value of 0.773, indicating good consistency. The study included 105 research participants, comprising 40 Millennials and 65 Gen Z individuals. The results showed that the level of quiet quitting of Millennials and Gen Z tended to be low. The low level of quiet quitting among Gen Z and Millennials suggests that both groups remain highly engaged in their work. This research is expected to provide valuable insights for companies in designing effective strategies to increase employee engagement and mitigate the negative consequences of employee turnover.
