Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of powtoon animation media in the STAD type cooperative learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of class X MIA students at SMA Negeri 1 Tapung. This research is a quasi-experimental research (quasi-experimental) starting on May 16 2023 to May 26 2023, with a nonequivalent control group design using a purposive sampling technique. This research was conducted for five meetings. The population in this study were all students of class X MIA SMA Negeri 1 Tapung. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out using test and documentation techniques. As for the instrument for collecting data on learning outcomes through pretest and posttest which will be processed using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. After processing the data, the results of this study with descriptive analysis and inferential analysis showed that there was an influence of the STAD type cooperative learning model on the experimental class. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the STAD type cooperative learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of class X MIA students of SMA Negeri 1 Tapung.

Abstract

Some people think that pesantren only focus on spiritual learning, but this is not true, because some pesantren also excel in business education. This study aims to reveal the strategy of Islamic boarding schools in preparing santri to become graduates who have an entrepreneurial spirit. Through a qualitative approach with a case study model, this research seeks to reveal the facts that naturally occur in social settings. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, document review and non-participant observation. Data analysis consisted of individual case analysis and cross-case analysis. The results showed that the strategy applied by the manager of the Islamic boarding school was to foster santri to pay more attention to the factors of work spirit, ethics, and loyalty. These actions are carried out through training activities in various forms of business units, providing motivation, providing examples of business management, and providing internship opportunities in the business and industrial world, so that each santri gets hands-on experience in the field.

Abstract

Learning media is an important component in the teaching and learning process. The use of media in learning can generate new desires and interests, increase motivation and stimulation of learning activities. One media that is suitable for animal kingdom material is mind maps. Kingdom animalia has a lot of material and explanations and branches so it is suitable to be described using a mind map. This research is development research that uses 4-D, which consists of the define, design, develop and disseminate stages. The research subjects were students of SMAN 1 Airpura class X MIPA. This research data is primary data consisting of validation, teacher practicality, and student practicality. Validation and practicality data were analyzed in the form of percentages. Based on the research carried out, a PowerPoint-based mindmap based on Animal Kingdom material that is valid and practical was produced. The validation value of the Powerpointplex-based mindmap for the animal kingdom material developed was 88%. For the practicality test by the teacher on the PowerPoint-based mindmap, the animal kingdom material developed was very practical with a score of 94%. The practicality test by students in stage I (limited test) obtained very practical results with a score of 91% and for the stage II test (field test) the results were very practical with a score of 86%.

Abstract

Teaching materials encompass all systematically organized content used in the learning process with the aim of illustrating the competencies that learners will acquire, including modules. The purpose of this research is to describe the results of the analysis of students' needs for teaching materials in the form of hydroponic modules based on research findings. The population in this study consists of students who have taken hydroponics courses. Sampling is done through simple random sampling, involving 31 students as research subjects. This descriptive research aims to determine the needs for the development of research-based module materials for hydroponics learning and to provide more optimal learning facilities. Research instruments include questionnaires for the needs of both teachers and students, observations, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that students and teachers have a need for teaching materials that can broaden and enhance their understanding, and can be studied independently by students, especially in the form of research-based modules. This research is essentially an initial stage in the process of developing teaching materials in the form of modules based on research findings.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of group learning in improving Arabic speaking skills of students at the Arabic Language Education Department, Riau Islamic University. The type of research used in this research is quantitative research with an experimental design. The research instrument used was a test. The techniques used to analyze the data are validity testing, normality testing and hypothesis testing. The population of this study was 150 people and the sampling technique used in this research was random sampling, namely with one group containing eight people. In this study, the researcher used the one-group method where the group contained 8 students and the results of hypothesis testing showed that Sig. (2-Tailed) 0.950 is greater than 0.05 (1/2 value). The conclusion of this study shows that Ho is acceptable. Thus, it can be interpreted that the results of group study among students of the Arabic Language Education Department at Riau Islamic University in improving their Arabic speaking skills are considered effective

Abstract

Independent learning in mathematics plays a very vital role in the educational process, because through this independent learning, students have greater opportunities to develop their potential independently in understanding mathematical concepts, expanding understanding, and exploring complex concepts, which in turn in turn will help them become more productive and effective mathematics learners in their efforts to achieve their academic and personal goals. This research aims to analyze learning independence based on gender, aspects and overall. This research is quantitative in nature with research subjects of 277 high school students in Natuna, Riau Islands, Indonesia. The instrument used is the learning independence instrument which has been validated with 25 statement items. The data analysis technique uses quantitative descriptive analysis. The research results show that the female gender shows a higher average percentage, reaching 76.03% with "Good" status. This indicates that in the independent aspect of learning mathematics, women tend to show better performance compared to men. Meanwhile, the final results show that the final total score for independent learning for all respondents reached 71,889%, indicating relatively good performance in facing the challenges of independent learning.

Abstract

This research aims to look at the musical aspects contained in the imam's recital of recitations during congregational prayers. Apart from that, this research also aims to see the response of the congregation when attending congregational prayers. In order to obtain data related to the intended objectives, researchers used qualitative methods. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. Interviews were conducted with two mosque imams who have good recitation skills, as well as several mosque congregation members who are members of the Subuh Warriors community. From the results of the analysis, it was concluded that the rhythm of the recitation songs commonly used by the two imams in question were the bayati and jiharka rhythms. The results of the analysis of the congregation's response were past responses, future responses and current responses. These various responses are shown through the reactions that emerge from each congregation. The differences in responses that lead to this reaction are caused by differences in spiritual experiences, including personal life experiences and religious experiences that have been experienced.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) siswa Kelas XI MIPA SMAN 1 Bangkinang Kota pada materi sistem koordinasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Simple Random Sampling. Sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 104 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) siswa kelas XI MIPA SMAN 1 Bangkinang Kota pada materi sistem koordinasi pada indikator menganalisis (C4) mendapatkan rata-rata 67,92% pada kategori rendah, indikator mengevaluasi (C5) mendapatkan rata-rata 59,96% pada kategori sangat rendah, dan indikator mencipta (C6) mendapatkan rata-rata 63,79% pada kategori rendah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan kemampuan Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) siswa kelas XI MIPA SMAN 1 Bangkinang Kota pada materi sistem koordinasi berada pada kategori rendah dengan persentase 63,89%.  Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi bagi guru agar guru terlatih untuk membuat soal HOTS, serta terbiasa memberikan soal HOTS kepada siswa dan bagi siswa agar terbiasa menyelesaikan soal HOTS sehingga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the influence of academic self-efficacy and peer on economic learning outcomes through self-regulated learning as a mediating variable. The type of research used is causal associative with a quantitative approach. A total of 137 students in classes X and XI of SMA Ta'miriyah Surabaya were the samples in this research. Data was obtained from the results of questionnaires and students' daily summative economic scores. The data analysis technique used is Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS software. The research results show that directly, academic self-efficacy has a significant and positive effect on economic learning outcomes, academic self-efficacy has a significant and positive effect on self-regulated learning, self-regulated learning has a significant and positive effect on economic learning outcomes, peers have a significant and positive effect on economic learning outcomes, and peers have a significant and positive effect on self-regulated learning. Other findings show that indirectly, academic self-efficacy has a significant and positive influence on economic learning outcomes through self-regulated learning, and peers have a significant and positive influence on economic learning outcomes through self-regulated learning.

Abstract

This study aims to improve reading literacy skills using picture word card media through the mother tongue approach in grade II students at Watumite Ende Catholic Elementary School. The subjects of this study, which was taken by researchers, were grade II students, totaling 17 students, while the object of this study was reading literacy skills. This study has four stages: planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Researchers use the class action method (PTK) to collect data. Data was collected using picture word card media through the mother tongue approach. Based on the research data and discussion, the research can be concluded that the use of picture word card media through the mother tongue approach can improve students' reading literacy skills in Indonesian language learning in class II of Watumite Ende Catholic Elementary School.
