Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperbaiki proses pembelajaran dan meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Student Teams Achievement Division, bentuk penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi kelas VII1 SMP Negeri 20 Pekanbaru dengan kemampuan akademik yang heterogen. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2013/2014 yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan koneksi matematis pada akhir siklus, dan lembar pengamatan aktivitas guru dan siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya perbaikan proses pembelajaran dari siklus I ke siklus II dan peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis. Peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis dapat dilihat dari skor pada tes kemampuan koneksi matematis I (TKKM I) ada peningkatan dari skor dasar. Persentase pada skor dasar yaitu 36,42% sedangkan persentase pada skor TKKM I yaitu 61,25%. Peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis juga dapat dilihat dari peningkatan pada skor TK2M II yaitu 90,25%. Dari hasil penelitian di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Student Teams Achievement Division dapat memperbaiki proses pembelajaran dan meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika kelas VII1 SMP Negeri 20 Pekanbaru tahun ajaran 2013/2014 khususnya pada materi segitiga dan segiempat.

Abstract

Siak weaving is a work of art resulting from the manufacture of songket cloth by craftsmen in Siak Sri Indrapura, Riau Province. This fabric has a variety of motifs, displaying the characteristics of Riau Malay culture. The motifs on Siak woven fabrics are generally taken from the natural environment, such as plants, animals, and other natural objects, which are then twisted (transformed) into interesting motifs, arranged systematically that form geometric patterns. Descriptive qualitative research was conducted, by collecting data and information related to Siak woven motifs through observation and interviews with parties at the Siak woven fabric production center. Identification is carried out on all existing Siak woven fabric motifs to find out whether there is an application of geometric transformation in these woven fabric motifs. From the results of observation and identification, as many as 58 types of motifs were obtained in siak weaving. If observed carefully, the pattern of the arrangement of the motifs of the fabric, there are actually rhythmic and patterned properties of regularity.  Some forms of regularity patterns on Siak woven fabrics are applications of geometric transformations. Some are in the form of reflection, rotation, translation, and dilatation.

Abstract

This study is aimed to increase the students’ mathematics literacy and cultural motivation. The research design was a mix-method with an experiment with a nonequivalent control group design and ethnography. The research population was the junior high school students in the Siak City of Riau Province. The research sample was the students that were taken by using purposive sampling according to the research objective. The collection data techniques were interview, observation, and test. The interview with interview guidelines instrument to get information about the integration of culture with mathematics. The observation by a checklist to know the increasing motivation to learn and understand the Siak Culture. Test with an essay instrument to know the increasing the students' mathematics literacy after following the teaching process with the visual thinking method. The analysis data techniques were descriptive quantitative and t-test to know whether there was a difference between the control class and experiment class. The qualitative results show there were seven motifs of Tenun Siak that claimed in mathematics is Frieze F1 Pattern to F7 Pattern. The results show that there was a significant difference between the control class and the experiment class. The experiment class was better than the control class so it can be concluded that visual thinking can increase the students’ mathematics literacy. The motivation of students to learn and understand the Siak Culture from the first and sixth meetings also increases.

Abstract

Tenun siak merupakan karya seni hasil pembuatan kain songket di Siak Sri Indrapura Provinsi Riau yang memiliki motif menarik dan variatif dengan ciri khas Melayu Riau. Motif tersebut diambil dari lingkungan yaitu flora, fauna dan alam lainnya, kemudian dikembangkan dan disusun secara sistematis membentuk pola geometris tertentu. Penelitian pendahuluan deskriptif dilakukan dengan menggunakan referensi literatur, pengumpulan data dengan wawancara dan observasi ke tempat pengrajin tenun Siak, mengidentifikasi semua motif yang ada untuk mencari jawaban apakah motif tersebut tersusun membentuk pola kelompok frieza, pola yang dibangun dengan penerjemahan dalam satu arah, selain isometri lainnya berupa pantulan horizontal, pantulan vertikal dan rotasi atau luncuran 180°. Setelah dilakukan observasi dan identifikasi, diperoleh 58 jenis motif pada kain tenun Siak. Dari keseluruhan motif diketahui bahwa semuanya membentuk pola frieze. Ada yang membentuk pola freeze F1, F2, F3 hingga pola freeze F7. Terkadang selembar kain tenun Siak dibuat dari kombinasi beberapa pola dekorasi. Sejauh ini belum ditemukan motif tenun Siak yang tidak membentuk pola frieze. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat Siak, telah lama menggunakan ide-ide matematis dalam pengembangan motif tenun Siak. Selain itu, penggunaan etnomatematika tenun Siak merupakan langkah yang tepat untuk meningkatkan literasi matematis siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of powtoon animation media in the STAD type cooperative learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of class X MIA students at SMA Negeri 1 Tapung. This research is a quasi-experimental research (quasi-experimental) starting on May 16 2023 to May 26 2023, with a nonequivalent control group design using a purposive sampling technique. This research was conducted for five meetings. The population in this study were all students of class X MIA SMA Negeri 1 Tapung. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out using test and documentation techniques. As for the instrument for collecting data on learning outcomes through pretest and posttest which will be processed using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. After processing the data, the results of this study with descriptive analysis and inferential analysis showed that there was an influence of the STAD type cooperative learning model on the experimental class. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the STAD type cooperative learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of class X MIA students of SMA Negeri 1 Tapung.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' creative thinking skills in mathematics. The type of research used in this research is descriptive research. The population in this study were junior high school level students in Bengkalis Regency, Riau while the sample was 59 students in the Bathin Solapan District and 50 students from the Bandar Laksamana sub-district. The sampling technique in this study was simple random sampling. The data collection technique in this study was a survey using a questionnaire instrument. Before the instrument is used, the instrument in the form of a questionnaire is validated in terms of content and construct. In terms of content, validity analysis uses the Aiken formula and CFA First Order, while construct validity uses CFA Second Order. Data analysis in this study used descriptive statistics. The results obtained from the analysis of students' creative thinking abilities in mathematics at the junior high school level show that the indicators of Elaboration, Flexibility, Originality, and Fluency in students' creative thinking abilities, obtain a good category percentage of 22.02% and a bad category of 77.98% .

Abstract

The objective of this study is to assess the effect of guided inquiry learning polas on the mathematical critical thinking abilities of students in phase E at SMK Negeri 3 Pekanbaru. The research employs a Bukanequivalent Control Group Design, focusing on the population of phase E students at the institution. A random sampling method was utilized to select two classes, with class X BP 1 designated as the experimental group and class X BP 2 as the control group. The assessment tools consisted of sebelum tes and sesudah tes essay questions designed to measure critical thinking skills. Hypothesis testing was conducted using a bukan-parametric data analysis technique for comparing two averages, specifically the Mann-Whitney U test. The results of the hypothesis test indicated a significance value of Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) at 0.014, which is less than the threshold of 0.05 (0.014 < 0.05). Consequently, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted, leading to the conclusion that guided inquiry learning polas significantly influence students' mathematical critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Literasi numerasi di Indonesia perlu diperhatikan, karena masih rendah seperti yang diungkapkan dalam laporan Program for International Student Assessment (PISA). Bahkan dalam konteks matematika termasuk materi bangun ruang prisma dan limas. Hal tersebut, disebabkan karena peserta didik masih banyak yang malas memahami materi dan menganggap membaca buku susah untuk menemukan konteks matematika sehingga minat belajar mereka menurun dan literasi numerasi menurun. Oleh sebab itu, tujuan menerapkan kegiatan pembelajaran yang dapat merangsang keingintahuan dan minat peserta didik mampu meningkatkan literasi numerasi peserta didik materi bangun ruang prisma dan limas dengan pengembangan Komik Matematika memenuhi valid, praktis dan efektif. Peneliti menggunakan penelitian pengembangan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE. Kemudian, memperoleh hasil validasi dianalisis menggunakan rumus skala Likert, dengan kepraktisan berdasarkan hasil angket respon guru dan angket respon peserta didik, dan efektivitas dari angket respon peserta didik serta hasil tes literasi numerasi. Hasil uji validasi media komik matematika adalah 82,4% dengan kategori sangat valid. Hasil uji kepraktisan media komik matematika diperoleh nilai sebesar 95% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Sedangkan, hasil uji keefektifan media komik matematika diperoleh nilai sebesar 96,6 % dengan kategori sangat efektif serta hasil persentase skor literasi numerasi 87,56% dengan kategori tinggi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VII.2 SMPN 38 Pekanbaru yang berjumlah 25 peserta didik. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa media komik matematika untuk meningkatkan literasi numerasi pada materi bangun ruang prisma dan limas yang valid, praktis dan efektif.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Ethnomathematics-Based Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on the numeracy skills of 8th-grade students at SMP Negeri 15 Pekanbaru. The research employs a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group. The sample consists of two classes selected through random sampling: an experimental class taught using the ethnomathematics-based PBL model and a control class taught using conventional learning methods. After conducting the normality test, the post-test significance value for the control class was found to be 0.004, which is smaller than the significance level of 0.05 (0.004 < 0.05). Thus, the data are not normally distributed. Since one of the datasets is not normally distributed, a non-parametric Mann-Whitney U test was performed. The test results show an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000, which is smaller than the significance level of 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05). Therefore, H1 is accepted, and H0 is rejected. This indicates a difference in the average numeracy skills between the experimental class and the control class. In other words, the average numeracy skills of students using the Ethnomathematics-Based Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model are better than those of students using the conventional learning model. Hence, the ethnomathematics-based Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model positively impacts the numeracy skills of 8th-grade students at SMP Negeri 15 Pekanbaru. Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar yang diperoleh mahasiswa pada mata kuliah persamaan diferensial biasa menjadi indikasi untuk dilakukan proses penelusuran learning obstacles yang dialami oleh mahasiswa pada pembelajaran persamaan diferensial biasa. Penelitian kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus digunakan untuk menjawab tujuan yang telah ditetapkan. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 14 orang mahasiswa semester 5 Pendidikan Matematika FKIP UIR yang memiliki gaya kognitif field dependent, 3 orang mahasiswa yang memenuhi kriteria yang telah ditentukan diberikan tindakan lanjutan yaitu wawancara mendalam. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik tes angket, dan wawancara. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari lembar GEFT, soal tes hasil belajar, lembar angket learning obstacle, dan lembar wawancara. Analisis data di lakukan melalui tahapan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hambatan ontogenik dialami oleh mahasiswa yaitu materi yang disajikan terlalu sulit dan cepat, mahasiswa belum menguasai materi prasyarat dengan baik; hambatan didaktik ditemui pada rencana pembelajaran yang belum sempurna dan materi yang digunakan dalam perkuliahan; hambatan epistemologis ditemukan dengan ditandai dengan belum adanya interaksi yang maksimal antara mahasiswa dengan dosen
