It has been found that teaching students how to use mind maps helps improve their reading comprehension. It can be seen from the data that in cycle I, 14 of 25 students only achieved a score of 75 or higher, the average student score was 66,4, with a total student score of 1660, and the proportion of pupils that succeed the KKM was approximately 56%. In cycle II, on the other hand, there were 21 of 25 students who achieved a score of 75 or higher, the average student score was 83,4, with a total student score of 2085, as well as the pass rate for students. Abstract

The study aimed to investigate the role of translation collaborators in translating Chinese texts into Indonesian and to evaluate the quality of translations from Mandarin into Indonesian. An analytic scoring rubric was utilized to assess the quality of the translations in terms of grammar, vocabulary, readability, and tone. The study found that there is no significant difference between the mean scores of texts translated by an individual translator and those translated collaboratively. The authors identified that the number of source texts, content of the translation, structure of the text, and readability of the output contribute to the similarity in quality between the two methods. However, factors such as editing and correction, time frame, and supporting tools (sources) make the translation process different between the two methods. The study also found that the duration needed for collaborative translation is relatively shorter compared to translating individually, and collaborative translation can result in faster completion times and improved accuracy and readability of translated texts

Abstract

Avatar has revolutionized the film industry. James Cameron introduced a new level of immersive visual storytelling that captivated audiences worldwide. While some previous studies on Avatar have highlighted some important research findings, they seem to leave Avatar’s themes understudied. "Avatar" explores themes of colonialism, resistance, and environmental issues, highlighting the harm caused by resource exploitation and the need for responsible resource management. It depicts the exploitation of weaker groups by more powerful ones, with humans representing the colonizers and the Na'Vi people representing the colonized. The film emphasizes the resistance of the Na'Vi, their fight to defend their homes, and the involvement of nature in the war against humans. Additionally, it addresses environmental destruction caused by human greed and disregard for the environment. This study suggests that further research could explore comparative analysis with other works to provide a broader understanding of the themes.
