Abstract

This study measured how well students can apply critical thinking skills when studying energy source materials in Natural Knowledge Science. In addition, research also reveals the factors that support or hinder the development of participants' critical thinking skills in the context of learning. i The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a survey approach. The research subject is 40 participants enrolled in the IV Grade of SDN Tanggul, Wonoayu District, Sidoarjo Regency, with an institution in the form of a written thesis and an interview with the IV Grade’s teachers of SDN Tanggul. Data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions drawn. The study results showed that, in general, the participants' ability to think critically. Interpretation indicators and analysis show more than good results compared to indicators of inference and evaluation. This indicates that the participants still have difficulties concluding and giving strong reasons to overcome their answers. The study's results also show that efforts to improve participants' critical thinking skills in the IV SDN Tanggul have been carried out but are still limited to conventional learning methods. This research suggests that teachers can use more interactive learning media and varied learning methods in learning science, especially energy source materials. In addition, teachers also need to provide trigger questions so that students can hone critical thinking skills and analyze information in depth. Thus, it is hoped that the ability of the participants to think critically will be improved so that they can face challenges in an increasingly complex era.

Abstract

This study aims to explain how to internalize religious character values through learning Himpunan Putusan Tarjih Muhammadiyah at the KH. Mas Mansur student boarding school, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. This research utilizes a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The research data collection technique was performed through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out based on the analysis initiated by Miles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification. The data is summarized and then juxtaposed with supporting theories, discourses, and research. The research results show that five religious character values are internalized through Himpunan Putusan Tarjih learning to mahasantri: collaboration, independence, hard work, honesty, and brotherhood. The strategy of internalizing religious character values in Himpunan Putusan Tarjih uses the lecture method, demonstration method, and problem-based learning through discussion. Furthermore, some obstacles were still encountered in its implementation, namely the limited duration of learning and the lack of enthusiasm and activeness of the mahasantri in learning, so learning did not seem very conducive. The supporting aspects that influence the internalization of religious character values are the natural instincts of individuals, habits that are practiced repeatedly, and the good influence of the environment and people around them. As for the aspects that obstruct the process, namely the lack of awareness of mahasantri, the use of technology, and the lack of management supervision. Therefore, it is essential to have the role and responsibility of boarding school organizers in overcoming these challenges by developing a comprehensive understanding of religious character, criticism and suggestions for various attitudes and routines of mahasantri, intensive evaluation through an efficient approach, and the role of boarding school with surrounding people in maintaining good relations and striving to increase the success of internalization in various aspects of mahasantri life.

Abstract

This research aims to measure and explain mastery of scientific literacy and provide several alternatives to foster mastery of scientific literacy in elementary schools, especially at SDN Tambakrejo 2. This study is quantitative research. The population of this research was all class VI of SD Negeri Tambakrejo 2 in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research sample was one class of class VI students totaling 20 people using a cluster random sampling technique, namely by randomly selecting one class as the research sample. The data collection techniques used were tests and interviews. Data analysis techniques in research use quantitative data analysis techniques with a descriptive approach. The research results showed that of the 20 students, three students had a percentage of 15% in the very low category, 12 students had a percentage of 60% in the low category, four students had a percentage of 20% in the medium category, and a percentage of 5% in the high mastery category. This research concludes that the mastery of scientific literacy of class VI students at SDN Tambakrejo 2 still needs to be improved. To develop this ability, teachers can apply contextual problem-based learning. This method, supported by an appropriate learning approach, can improve students' critical thinking abilities and problem-solving skills.

Abstract

This study analyzes the integration of digital technology into Islamic education to address moral challenges in the digital era. Employing a literature review with content analysis, this research evaluates primary and secondary sources, including academic journals, government reports, and authoritative references. The findings reveal that digital technology, such as augmented reality (AR) and artificial intelligence (AI), offers transformative opportunities for Islamic education by enhancing learning engagement, accessibility, and interactivity. However, the integration of these tools poses risks, including diminished moral values, reduced religious literacy, and dependency on technology, which require strategic interventions. This study emphasizes the importance of aligning technological advancements with Islamic principles to uphold spiritual and ethical integrity while fostering innovation in teaching and learning methods. Recommendations include the development of technology-based curricula that harmonize religious and scientific knowledge, training programs for educators to effectively utilize digital tools, and policies to mitigate negative impacts on student character and behavior. Furthermore, the application of AR in Islamic studies and AI-based personalized learning provides immersive and meaningful educational experiences, fostering intellectual and moral growth. This research contributes insights into leveraging digital tools to adapt Islamic education to the demands of the digital age while maintaining its foundational values. Future studies are encouraged to explore the long-term impacts of technology integration across various educational levels to ensure sustainable and effective Islamic education reform.

Abstract

This study aims to capture the extent to which cultural elements play a role in the media "Aljazeera Learning Arabic" and the portion of its use at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. This study is qualitative descriptive research aimed at analyzing the educational media "Aljazeera Learning Arabic" from a cultural perspective. The research object is the media "Aljazeera.Learning.Arabic," with data collected through participatory observation and written documents from the website. The analysis techniques employed include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that this media consists of three main levels: “al-mubtadi'” (beginner), “al-mutawassith” (intermediate), and “al-mutaqaddim” (advanced). Each level includes several learning themes, which incorporate cultural elements to help students improve their language skills. These cultural aspects are proportionally varied across the levels. At the “al-mubtadi'” level, cultural themes constitute only 36%, while at the “al-mutawassith'” level, they account for 47%. At the “al-mutaqaddim” level, cultural themes dominate, comprising 55% of the total themes. This indicates that cultural content becomes more prominent as the learning level progresses.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of self-efficacy and peer support on the self-confidence and learning enthusiasm of coaches and trainers at Vocational Training Centres (VTCs) in Indonesia and Denmark during and post the COVID-19 pandemic. Embracing a cross-cultural approach, it examines how educators from these diverse cultural environments adapt to the educational shifts prompted by the pandemic. The research employs a quantitative method, involving a purposive sample of 131 Indonesian coaches and 67 Danish educators, all with over three years of professional experience. Data was collected through a survey using a 5-point Likert Scale. The data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling. The findings highlight the critical role of self-confidence in driving learning enthusiasm among coaches. When self-efficacy alone does not directly increase engagement, self-confidence acts as a catalyst, enabling self-efficacy to improve learning enthusiasm significantly. These findings underscore the importance of self-confidence in fostering learning enthusiasm among coaches and have significant implications for developing culturally responsive educational policies and practices that support educator well-being and enhance learning outcomes globally.
